Chapter Eight: Golden Rays Of Sunshine
Virgil didn't want to get up. He never wanted to get up, honestly, but today it was more to an extreme. Not because of sadness or more depressing thoughts, however, because he was so comfy.
Roman held him in his arms so tightly yet so gently. Virgil felt so loved, so happy that Roman would be here for a few more days.
Virgil slowly opened his eyes, squinting them once he saw the sun peeking through the curtains. He did have to admit, it was warm. The golden rays glittered throughout the room, lighting it up brightly. Virgil wanted to get out of bed and close the curtains, but he was far too comfy. So, he simply turned to face his boyfriend.
Roman looked angelic in the lighting, and that wasn't an exaggeration. The light hit his face perfectly, accentuating his gentle smile and putting subtle shines on his hair.
Virgil gently put his hand on Roman's cheek, swiping his thumb slowly across. Virgil sighed, relishing in the soft warmth of his boyfriend.
Virgil slipped his eyes closed. Just as he did, though, he felt a hand being placed on his. Virgil's eyes shot open, seeing Roman smiling gently at him.
"Good morning Virgil..." Roman mumbled. "Morning, Ro..." Virgil said groggily. He noticed Roman had fallen back asleep, and took this opportunity to climb out of bed. He didn't want to, but he felt as if he had to.
He, slowly, dragged himself out of bed. He did his morning routine, which consisted of brushing his teeth and hair, and showering. When that was done, he went downstairs to make breakfast.
He knew exactly what Roman would like. Thankfully, he liked it too, so it would be a win-win situation for the both of them.
Immediately, he got out ingredients and a recipe Patton gave him. He got to cooking right away, and while he waited, turned on the coffee machine. He put on a pot and let it brew.
A few minutes later, he had a decent breakfast. He plated it neatly on two plates and poured two cups of coffee.
Virgil, just in time, heard Roman slowly make his way down the stairs. He was still in his pajamas, just like Virgil, and sat himself down at the island.
"Really? You made us breakfast? And coffee?" Roman asked, confused but happy. "I thought you'd-we'd like it..." Virgil said, trying to hide his blushing face.
Roman leaned over the counter, and pressed a short kiss to Virgil's cheek. Virgil turned to face him, and pecked his lips.
"C'mon, eat." Virgil said, handing him his plate. Roman grabbed it, thanked him, and sat back down.
Roman hopped on the couch. "So he comes back, with both our drinks. Then he says, 'I said Roman, they put Ramen.'" He chuckled.
Virgil started laughing, realizing the situation. "Was it the one on Leaf Street?" He asked, still chuckling. "Yeah, think so, why?" Roman was confused at this point.
"I was the one that made the drinks!" Virgil started laughing again, and soon Roman joined in. "A-Are you serious?" Roman choked through his laughter.
"Oh, I should've known..." Roman said, calming down from his fit of laughter. "That was good coffee, by the way." "T-Thanks..." Virgil said.
Roman wrapped his arm around Virgil and sighed. Virgil in return nuzzled into him. Roman scooped him up onto his lap and pressed a kiss to his lips.
Virgil smiled, and wrapped his arms around his neck. Roman took this opportunity to press another kiss to Virgil's lips, this one lasting much longer.
Roman wrapped his arms around his hips and pulled him even closer. Virgil smiled into the kiss, deepening the kiss ever so slightly.
The two slowly pulled away, only to pull right back in. Roman sighed happily into the kiss, it was passionate and slow, but full of love.
The two pulled away to breathe, but still held each other. Virgil giggled slightly and Roman pressed a kiss to his cheek. Roman brushed his hair out of his face and simply hugged him.
Virgil was content to just lie there in the arms of his boyfriend. Virgil hummed contently and nuzzled into the crook of his boyfriend's neck.
Roman happily shifted them slightly so that Virgil was cuddled on top of him. Virgil chuckled softly before shifting so slightly so that he was lying on top of him.
Roman pecked him on the lips. "So, what do you wanna watch?" He asked. Virgil mumbled something incoherent. "Hmm? Speak up, dear." Roman said. "I-uh-I-I don't care." Virgil stuttered, trying to hid his blush.
Roman just chose something himself, which were The Office bloopers. "I've seen this fifteen and a half times." Virgil said with a smirk.
"I've seen them twenty." Roman said. "Then you have too much free time on your hands." Virgil said with a chuckle.
"Well I'd rather be spending it with you." Roman said smoothly. Virgil's blush started to show through his foundation.
Roman pecked him on the lips and the two just laid there. They watched movie after movie until Virgil fell asleep, cuddled up on Roman's chest.
Roman just wanted to stare. He looked so peaceful, so happy and peaceful. Roman couldn't bare the thought of waking him, so he gently picked him up and carried him upstairs.
He set him gently on his bed, and climbed in with him. Roman sighed happily, content lying there with him.
God, I wish this never ends...
