A/N:

Okay so like I will mention their ages in this chapter but I think i will mention their ages now, okay so like Vivian and Sofia are 14, and James and Hugo are 15. At first i was going to have V and S 13 and J and H 14 but I thought against it. So yeah.

I'm so sorry for leaving you all but assignments legit three right after the other like bam, bam, BAM. IT wAs CrAzy. AND I STILL HAVE MORE!!!!!! But here.

3rd person P.O.V:

As James and Vivian walked out they were greeted by their friends. And gushed with questions. But they were too tired to really answer their questions.

"Hey Sofia, can I take Vivian to my castle, just for tonight, I'm just-," James asked, face tired and his body visibly shook and of course Sofia understood him so she cut him off ", of course."

She gave him a soft smile and a soft pat on the shoulder. She rounded everyone away, so that the only people left were Vivian and the protective kingdom. Zander and Desmond instantly knew that they weren't needed and headed in to sleep.

James grabbed Vivian and pulled her in for a hug, and slowly caressed her hair. She smailed and hugged back. She pulled away and smiled at him reassuring him that she was there and that everything would be alright.

"Come on, your room is ready," he sighed, giving her a weary smile.

He steered her towards one of the guest bedrooms, and sat her down on the bed. "Just wait for me here," he told her, taking his leave. She almost followed him out, she didn't want to be alone.

He returned quite shortly, with a pair of slippers, a towel and a night gown. He handed them to her and led her towards the bathroom. She understood what he wanted and washed herself, riding herself of those terrible moments she had to experience. It was so cold inside of her, that even the hot water of the shower did nothing. She couldn't help recalling those dark and lonely moments. She had feared that she would die, that she would end up being stuck in there forever, even though the fairies had gotten rid of any harm to her mental state she still had fear roaming inside of her. Water started streaming down her face but it wasn't from the shower, and soon her cries followed.

She found herself finished with her shower without even having any memory of doing anything. When she opened the door James was outside drying his hair from his own shower. His golden hair looked silver in the moonlight, and when he directly stood in front of the window, you could just make out his figure from inside loose clothing.

He turned around when he heard light footsteps coming towards him. He smiled and sat her down. He grabbed a new towel and started drying her hair, pressing it down, and slightly rubbing it in between the towel. He pressed a soft kiss on the top of her head. Then lead her to the bed.

"You sleep here, I'll sleep on the couch I don't mind," he said as he started tucking her in. And as she started protesting, he silenced her and simply stated he had experience with sleeping on a couch, and she didn't. He kissed her knuckles and went to make his 'bed' on the couch. They had perfect views of each other and that was all they really needed to finally heal.

Morning came around and things had quietly settled down, except things were too quiet, or at least they were for Sofia. Sofia had already done her tasks fro today which wasn't much, it was just making sure every room in the castle didn't have anything out of the order, her task was to spot which rooms had been changed, there were only three and she had spotted them instantly.

After that she just wandered around, and just as she was about to go to the stables, Vivian had arrived.

"Vivian!" Sofia called out, running with a giant smile on her face.

"Sofia!" Vivian called out, just as enthusiastic.

They lurched at each other into a hug. Even though it hadn't been that long.

"What are you doing, being all sulky?" Queried Vivian, pulling back from the hug and linking their arms. They took a stroll around the royal gardens, and exchanged information, Vivian really didn't say much and briefed it down that her and James just slept in the same room. While Sofia explained that when her and Hugo got back, they just had dinner and went to bed. Then she complained about this morning and how it had been too quiet.

"I already finished and I don't know where Hugo went, and it was just so boring without you,"

"I know, but I'm here now and since today I don't have anything to do, let's go and enjoy the day."

"Okay, let's ask Hugo if he wants to join us," Sofia said, but as she was turning around Vivian shouted ", NO!"

Sofia turned around and gave her a question glance. And she looked away, before turning back, "I mean, he's got a busy schedule today."

"Well we can help him finish," Sofia noted, Vivian shook her head way too suspiciously.

"Uh, well this task is only meant for Hugo and I don't think we're allowed to disturb him" which was somewhat true. In all honesty, they were preparing a surprise party for Sofia.

"And I was kinda hoping for a girls day spa kinda thing, I don't think Hugo would like to join us," Vivian giggled, finally convincing Sofia that nothing was going on. When Sofia agreed, Vivian internally breathed a sigh of relief.

They quickly packed a small bag of what they might need, like a brush or extra clothes and rushed to the gates and into their carriage. They arrived at the assembly hall and looked for Andi.

"Andi, hi," Sofia greeted, waving her hand, a bit too hard.

"Hey kiddos, what can I do for ya's?" She asked, leaning against the table she had just been wiping down.

"Well, we wanted to have a girls day but we don't know where to go, so do you have any suggestions?" Asked Vivian.

"Well, there are quite a bit of places, but I suggest the coy and elephant springs," Andi suggested, turning around to look for a map for the two girls. About two minutes later she gasped in delight as she handed them the map.

"Have fun, kiddo's," Andi waved. They nodded as their coach took off.

The map was placed into a scanner and instantly without worry they were on their way to the coy and elephant springs. Once they got there they changed into their swimmers and enjoyed the hot springs, they splashed around and talked, and just did what they couldn't do because of their schedules.

Back at the castle Hugo had just finished his assessment, and could start with preparations for Sofia's and Vivian's party, Vivian thought that it was only for Sofia but in reality, he had set it up for the both of them. He had learned from James that Vivian's birthday had passed two weeks ago and Sofia's was to be next week. He started with setting, and decided to hold it outside, then went onto colours, plates etc. And not too soon after Amber and James had arrived.

They rushed around, and planned everything Amber going the extra miles just like she always did. Tables had been set up to create a "U" shape, with the middle section elevated just a bit for the two lucky girls.

As James and Hugo were setting up the streamers, hugo noticed there was a bit of tension within James' shoulders. So he asked ", you alright,you look a bit tense? Was it 'cause of yesterday?"

"Sort of, but I'm better now, I have a secret medicine that can take any pain from me," he said, pausing when he mentioned the word medicine, he looked back at Hugo and smiled.

Hugo only nodded a bit confused, but his heart knew what he was talking about.

"You know what I know what will help relieve your tension, a nice relaxing time in some water, let's go take a swim." hugo suggested as he dragged James before he could even reply.

"Amber wanna to join us for a swim," called Hugo, but he only got a shake of the head, clearly she was immersed in preparing the best party ever.

Hugo shrugged and ran off, still dragging a confused James behind him. He led him to the pool room, kicking his shoes off, and stripping his shirt off, he jumped in, a bit of water splashing on James. That woke him up, as he smirked and also followed Hugo.

Their laughter reverted around the whole room, and after competing and just lazing around they found themselves, in the hot tub.

"Better?" Hugo asked, eyes closed, and head facing the ceiling.

"Yeah," he heard from his left.

"Then let's go finish setting up,"

They dried themselves, and got into new pairs of clothing. They walked out and started with where they left off.

The sun had set before anyone had realised. When the guests started arriving —both holographic and physical—, James, Hugo and Amber got changed and coordinated where everyone was to be placed, they dimmed the lights and awaited the arrival of their main focus, the birthday girls.

Vivian led Sofia towards the back entrance, reading herself.

"Why are we going through the back Vivian?" Sofia asked, tilting her head in confusion as to why the palace looked so, dull.

"You'll see!" Vivian sang.

Vivian was about to leave Sofia alone thinking that it would be in the back ballroom, but before that could happen, both her and Vivian jumped when they heard ,

"SURPRISE," being shouted.

James, Hugo and Amber ran towards the two shocked girls.

"Happy birthday, Vivian and Sofia,"

"But, wait, I don't understand, wasn't this for Sofia, why is my name on the banner, as well,"

"Well, I learned that your birthday had passed not too long ago, so I decided to surprise you too, with the help of James and Amber of course," Hugo explained, pointing in various directions, and when he saw the looks of amber he praised them as well, crossing his arms in satisfaction that his plan had worked.

Vivian nodded her head, half lost, half in understatement. Sofia was smiling as far as her mouth would let her.

"You guys, thank you,"

"Happy early 14th birthday Sofia" Hugo cheered ", and happy belated 14th birthday Viivian."

"Damn you guys are so old now aren't you's," joked James.

"Well we're not as old as you and Hugo, you guys are 15, soon to be 16 practically grandpa's," Sofia bit back, a smile on her face,and when she saw the horror on James' face, she practically burst out laughing. And soon everyone joined her.

The night went by as smooth as ice, games were played, laughter and music intertwined to echo throughout the courtyard. Then came the time for the formal birthday girl dance, first Vivian and Sofia danced together, halfway through they spun away from each other only to find James and Hugo ready to grab their chance to take their betrothed away.

They spun them into their arms and pulled them close, they adjusted their hands so that one sat on the waistline, while the other sat on their shoulder. They slide their hands down their arms, their wrists meeting at the end. Hugo and James moved one arm behind their back, while Sofia and Vivian held their dress. They circled each other, before changing direction. They took one step back before speeding up, catching each other, boys hands around the girls waistlines, while the girls wrapped their arms. They swayed to the music for a while before they criss-crossed their arms behind their heads and pulled towards each other. The boys spun the girls around them before ending the dance with a dip. Everyone saw this as an invitation to join in.

James brought Vivian close and placed her hands around his neck, his hands hugging her waist, they sighed in content and just danced to the calming music, their friends dancing around them, but it felt as if they were the only ones left.

Hugo on the other hand used this to his advantage and dragged Sofia away. He brought her onto one of the proches.

"Sofia, close your eyes for me," Hugo requested, once he saw her eyes closed, he brought out the preset he had gotten, and then beckoned her to open her eyes.

Her breath was caught in her throat, the earrings he had gotten for her gleamed in the dark, they were simple yet elegant, just like her.

"Hugo, you really shouldn't have," she praised, admiring them, she took them and started to put them on, she got one on but the other just didn't want to go in. Hugo let out a chuckle before bending down, and doing it for her.

Once again he had managed to pluck her breath from right under her. After accomplishing so, he stayed a little longer than needed, internally battling, and decided to give her a soft kiss to the cheek.

At that point Sofia forgot how to breath. Hugo pulled away a grin forming, but his flushed cheeks gave away his embarrassment. Sofia giggled, before capturing him in a hug. His eyes widened before he closed them, returning her hug.

"Thank you," she squealed, tightening their hug, his only response a snicker.

The party had finally calmed down, and everything had returned to normal. Everyone had left.

Sofia and Vivian were having a cup of tea before bed, Hugo had already turned in, tired from preparing everything for the birthday girls.

"Your earrings, they look new, a gift?" Vivian asked, sipping her tea.

"Yeah, Hugo got them for me," sofia said, absentmindedly creasing her cheek where he had left her the best gift of tonight.

"You? What did James get you?"

"I don't know, he said there was something back at home, so, I guess I have to wait till then," she said, placing her empty cup in the sink, "well goodnight, sofia."

Sofia nodded her head, she finished her tea with a smile before turning in herself.
