12:00 P.M.
Well, things have just now suddenly gotten out of hand and it's hard to write due to how shaky my hands are from what happened, but I'll try to explain it.
We were just collecting Percy's next train when the dam outside the station burst. However, it wasn't water spewing from it, but this weird corruption thing.
The passengers screamed like hell and scrambled aboard the train as fast as they could while we alerted the guard who also saw the corruption in the distance.
He blew his whistle and waved his green flag and we were off like a bat out of hell in a mad dash for safety.
We passed Wendell with a slow goods train heading in the other direction. None of us had the heart to tell him to turn back because we had to escape the corruption that was on our tail.
I told Martin to keep shoveling coal for his dear life and he told me to keep at Percy's controls, which turned into a hell of a clusterfuck as we raced on down the line.
We somehow managed to lose the corruption as we tore onto the mainline, and thank god that we did. Percy was out of breath and rather weary as we reached Tidmouth Station.
I was shaking like hell after that escape, and the passengers scrambled to raid the station cafeteria and find some shelter from this madness. I'll update more on this later.
1:30 P.M.
We've waited for the passengers long enough, and it seems we got them home safely, so we're going to trek along the line to find someone who survived this nightmare.
As we went along the line, we came across Henry at Crosby and told Paul and Garret about our escape. They were in shock and it seems the rumors from the workmen turned out to be true after all.
Henry told us to keep going just in case he ended up falling a victim, but we didn't want to lose him. So he agreed to join our cavalcade and we continued on our way.
2:20 P.M.
As we headed down the line, Henry and Percy stopped at Wellsworth to take on water.
I went to investigate further down the line for a moment and saw what looked like a train off the rails.
I couldn't believe my eyes, because there was Arthur's body, derailed and crashed into some vans with the strange corruption all over him.
I ran back to tell Paul, Garret and Martin about the dark fate of the record holder.
Percy had known Arthur for a very long time, but death is a fate worse than losing your spotless record as the big red tank engine had found out for himself.
Henry told Arthur to rest easy as we continued on our way through this wasteland.
2:45 P.M.
We decided to stay at Wellsworth for the remainder of the afternoon and as we sat there wondering what to do now, we heard Alfred racing past with some coaches.
They shot through the station with no intention of stopping to check on us.
I haven't seen them since now.
5:10 P.M.
It's almost been a few hours since anything happened here after Alfred went by.
We had a surprise encounter with an unknown character as Henry started to doze off.
One side of her pink hair looked very unkempt and her arm was bandaged up, as was her eye. She also had a backpack with her to make sure she didn't starve.
Upon introductions, it turned out her name was Pibby, and she was also looking for survivors after what had happened to her best friend, who was a rabbit named Bun-Bun.
We told her what had happened earlier at Tidmouth Hault about the strange corruption that had chased us down the branchline.
Pibby's side of the story was far worse as it turned out she had been torn from a preschool cartoon world called "Learning with Pibby" and separated from Bun-Bun, as both of them ended up losing one another.
I promised Pibby we'd help her find Bun-Bun as soon as we settled her down.
6:05 P.M.
So much has happened, I'll need the extra space to write this insanity out in my journal.
While Pibby stayed behind to keep Paul, Garret and Henry company, Martin, Percy and I went to find supplies to try and keep us afloat, like coal and water for the engines and food for us.
The supplies were somewhere on the Brendam branch, so we set out to try and find them.
As we traveled along past the Vicarage Orchard, we heard a familiar whistle. Emerging from the corrupted mass was our friend Trevor!
His face looked deformed and both his mouth and boiler stretched out from the body. We had to escape our former friend, since the corruption had done him in. While racing down the branch, he lunged at Percy, but I fired a shot back at him in response. It got worse the moment Percy passed Lower Suddery. A piece of the mass shot out of Trevor's mouth and violently tore out Percy's eye, leaving two blood marks on his cheek. We lost the traction engine as we raced under a bridge, which Trevor hit without looking and was knocked unconscious in the process. Once we were sure he was gone from our sight, I showed Percy what he looked like in a mirror.
Having turned the bend into Lower Suddery too quickly had also given him a bruise on his right cheek, but those things didn't stop us as we went on to pick up the supplies from Brendam. Once we got there, we also spotted an empty branchline coach on the platform for any human survivors we find.
We coupled the coach up to the trucks and trekked back up the branch to Wellsworth, making sure we didn't get caught by the infected traction engine.
8:30 P.M.
We got Percy safely back to Wellsworth with the supplies and placed an eyepatch over where his eye used to be when Trevor had attacked us. God-damn, Pibby was right, our railway is going down fast because of this corruption.
Pibby was grateful for the coach being on the train, so she could rest with us while the engines stayed in the shed. It's best that I talk to you again tomorrow and see what happens then.
