Thanks for the 300 reads!
Joocie's POV
And just like that, Joocie's life was a complete lie. His entire life had been a lie, and it must've been hard on him, but he slowly started to understand. It made sense why he survived getting shot in the eye, or why he would have an existential crisis every day, or why his memories as a kid didn't fit with his trauma, it all made sense, but he didn't want to admit it. "No. You- it's a joke, right?" Joocie asked, dropping his weapon. Laff stopped in his tracks and started to laugh like a maniac, he then slowly started to calm down. "Oh, Joocie, you're so naive. Won't it explain everything? Including the life crisis." Laff said. "After all, I did create you after all." He added. Joocie laid a finger on the bandage covering his eye, then broke down. "No, no, no no. NO." Joocie repeated, curling up into a ball as he started to tear up.
The horrible words kept repeating in his head over and over and over again.
You're just a machine.
You're just a machine.
You're just a machine.
You're just a machine.
You're just a machine.
His life was a complete lie, what was he supposed to do now? Fight back? Or run away? He slowly got back up, wiping the tears in his eye. He looked into Laff's hazel evil eyes and ran. Ran out of the room, pushing away anything that went in his way. He couldn't take this life-changing news, why did he have to learn this? He just kept running. He ran over the severed robot parts Tbh slashed into small pieces, and some of the robots he had shot. He didn't care, though, he just wanted to get away from everything.
After a minute of running, Joocie remembered one small disadvantage: he had no gun. He dropped it while realizing the truth. This meant he couldn't defend himself when a robot found him. He soon hid in a small room that looked like a doctor's office, with a small table-looking bed and a sink. He locked the door behind him and just sat there. He covered his hands with his face and started to cry, softly, but also pathetically at the same time. Why did this have to happen? Why did his entire life have to be a lie? All his memories were fake, he was just a robot like the other mindless machines Laff had made. Was Laff right? Would Joocie become just like him? A murderer? He wouldn't. He would never be like that monster. After wiping his tears, he slowly got up. He walked around, looking for a weapon to defend himself but there wasn't much. He kept looking until he found a small pocket knife. It was small and it looked like it wouldn't do much damage, but Joocie put it in his back pocket just in case he needed it. To his luck, he won't be needing it right now, as someone knocked on the door. "Uhm.. hello?" Joocie asked, not willing to open the door. "Hey, Joocie, this is Tbh," Tbh said through the door. He recognized the voice, and slowly opened the door. To his luck, it was real TbhHonest, and not some robot trying to act like him. Before Tbh could say anything, Joocie just hugged him. Everything had just been shitty, and he just wanted someone to hug. He didn't know what to do with his own "life", and he just needed a hug. "Hey, it's going to be okay," Tbh reassured as he hugged him back. Tears started to form again as he heard those words. Being comforted and hugged at the same time was enough to make Joocie cry of both happiness and sadness. But soon, the feeling went away as Tbh pulled back. "We need to retreat. We'll tell the others everything, we'll find a way to delay the invasion today it- just not here." Tbh said, putting his claws on Joocie's shoulders. Joocie wiped his tears away with his sleeve and followed Tbh out of the courtroom, and quickly, Laff would be there soon.
They kept walking, going random lefts and rights. Joocie was behind while Tbh took the lead. The feeling of knowing that he was a robot slowly started to fade into a second priority as they kept speed walking. It was sad and all, but he needed to live then to have another existential crisis.
As they kept walking, they ran into someone. The person who caused all of this, the person who caused him to learn that he was a robot, Medz. Silence. "Uhm, hey." Medz said, but nobody greeted him back. "Just, get out of the way, Medz." Tbh said without hesitation. He sounded just tired, tired of what Medz had done. He was betrayed by him after all by him. "Look I-I just want to talk. Please." Medz tried to explain, but Tbh and Joocie didn't want anything to do with it. "Why? Why do want to talk with us? After you betrayed us." Tbh asked, backing up and putting a claw on his weapon as Medz took s step closer. Medz looked at the weapon, then at Tbh in shock. "Now you know how I felt." Tbh said. "L-look I just want to talk, I want to make things better." Medz said, which surprised both Tbh and Joocie. Tbh looked at Joocie, then Medz. "Juice, you can go and tell the group the others, if you want." Tbh said, looking back at him. He should warn the others. So Joocie walked away from the commotion to go tell the others.
As he slowly walked away, he started to wonder what was going on. What if Medz was going to kill Tbh? Should he go back and stay with Tbh? Did he make the right decision? Should he reroute? It was too late, he was still walking. The thoughts soon ran short when someone soon grabbed him from behind. He tried to scream, but his mouth was covered by a cloth. He kept squirming to get out but every minute he felt weaker and weaker. His eyes slowly closed as he was dragged deeper into the hellish place, slowly losing consciousness and passing out.
Where the hell are they taking Joocie??? (1066 words)
