Chapter 17 - A Message

From this chapter and forward, Shit. Will. Go. Down

Tbh's POV

Tbh was just laying in a cell with Meme, which was good. The cell was made out of stone, with prison bars in the front. It was large enough for plenty of people to fit in, but he guessed Laff didn't want them to plan to escape anytime soon. Tbh was in his back, staring at the ceiling while Meme threw small pebbles at the stone wall as they bounced back to him. Because of Medz's betrayal, Laff decided to invade early. Thanks, Medz.
While Tbh was staring at the ceiling, he heard small ruffling. He turned his head and noticed a bat trying to get into the cell through the bars. "Wait- Nadwe? You weren't captured?" Tbh asked as Meme quickly turned his head to see. Nadwe didn't say anything, instead, he turned into a human, started tearing up, and hugged them. "I almost thought I'd never see y'all again.." Nadwe admitted, trying to keep his tears in as his voice started to crack. After a long moment of hugging, they let go. "Now how do we get out?" Meme asked, looking at the prison bars. Nadwe revealed a hairpin from his hair, letting it cascade down to his shoulders. He put the hairpin in the lock and after a few shuffles, the cell unlocked. They quietly escaped the prison cell, leading Nadwe to everyone else. Just like that, Nadwe helped Socks, Blaza, Joocie, and Ally escape. Muffin was in a small bird cage, which they luckily soon found, to Nadwe's relief.
Now that everyone was reunited, they had to think of a plan, and fast. They were able to hide in a small room on the same floor, where they were able to do all of the planning. "Do you think we can kill him? Like physically?" Socks asked. Tbh thought for a second. "Not direct. Remember, he's indestructible." Tbh said, trying to think. Everybody was silent, trying to think about what to do. "Maybe... Meme can hack into Laff's battery system and, you know, killing it. You think that will work?" Joocie said.mTbh whipped his head towards Joocie, then Meme. He saw as Meme took a moment to think. "How did you find out that, Joocie?"Meme asked as he looked at Joocie. Joocie looked back at Meme, "Oh, uh.. the dream I had for the last two years, it explained that Meme hacked into Laff's battery system and just killed it." Joocie explained. "Huh," Muffin said, surprised like everyone else was at Joocie's sudden smart idea. "Meme, do you think you can do that?" Tbh asked, looking at him. "You want me to hack into Laff's battery system, which probably has multiple VPNs, and try to kill it? Which could be maybe impossible for anyone in the entire planet to do." Meme repeated, which Tbh didn't know if he was sarcastic or not. "Well, yeah. Can you do it?" Tbh repeated himself. "Oh, yeah, that's child's play for me," Meme admitted, smiling to himself.
"Okay, now that we have our plan, what are we gonna do with Medz.." Tbh asked. Everyone was silent. "Medz? Why should we trust or even care about that traitor?" Ally asked, sounding mad. "That's the thing. What should we do with him since he's, you know, a traitor?" Tbh asked. "Well, I think we should leave him to die if the building collapses. If it doesn't collapse, I would love to participate in throwing him in the deadly gorge." Ally said. Silence. "Wow. I've known him for a while, and not even I would do that." Nadwe interjected. "Look. It's just that- Laff, my life has been ruined by that man. I will not let another man do the same thing." Ally explained, covering her face with a hand in frustration. "We're not killing him. As much as I want to, we have to let him leave and go on his own," Tbh said. "Maybe falling into a gorge." He added under his breath, which he knew Ally heard as she smiled. "Okay, enough with Medz," Socks started, "Who is going to distract Laff while Meme does the hacking?" There was no need for silence, there were two volunteers. "I'll do it." Tbh and Joocie said at the same time. "Huh, that was easy." Someone mumbled after a moment of silence.

After further planning, Tbh and Joocie got ready to face Laff. While Joocie brought a rifle with him, Tbh brought his large obsidian axe. They walked around in puzzlement for a while, until finding the pressure plates, they walked around each floor, shooting and slashing any robot that came in their way.
Finally, they saw him, in a big room with nearly nothing there. Laff, the one who started this, slowly turned his head to their direction. "Oh, hello, mates. Didn't expect y'all." He greeted, but nobody greeted back. "You know, it's impolite to not greet someone after they greeted back." Laff added. "SHUT UP LAFF," Joocie yelled, which surprised Tbh, and Laff slightly as his eyebrows raised a bit. "YOU RUINED MY LIFE. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO I AM ANYMORE!!" He yelled, clutching the gun tightly in his hands. Tbh turned and looked at Joocie and saw he was mad and on the verge of tears as his hands started to shake. Laff didn't even try to attack, instead he started to walk over to them. Tbh and Joocie arched up their weapons, ready to attack, but Laff didn't do anything. "Aww, Joocie, why do you hate me? You're just like me." Laff said. How am I anything like you?" Joocie asked, backing away as Laff got closer. Tbh was frozen, not knowing what to do as he saw Laff face to face. "Oh Joocie, it's just that.." Laff started, putting a hand onto Joocie's shoulder as he got closer to say something. Something that shook the life of Joocie himself.

"You're just a machine."
