Title : Monster Coffee

Laff POV

It was my first class in this new place. And unfortunately for me this class was at 7am.

"Class, please welcome our new student. He came here from Britain, so don't make fun of the way he speaks" The teacher said as he introduced me to the class.
"Hello, my name is Laff" I said, trying to sound 'normal' to them.
"Thank you Laff, you may take a seat, while I'll get ready to start the lesson"
I sat down near the back of the classroom when a student came in running.

"You're late, Blaza" The teacher told him.
"I'm sorry, I overslept"
"Just sit down and let me continue my lesson, alright?"
"Yes sir" Blaza said as he walked towards the back too.

He looked around at the places that were free, but looked over and came over to me.
"Hey, do you mind if I sit next to you? You seem new here" He asked me as he tilted his head ever so slightly.
"Yeah, sure. You can sit 'ere mate" I responded in my normal accent.
"You're not from here, are you?" Blaza asked me as he opened a can of monster energy drink.

"No, I'm Bri-ish. Say, didn't you already have a coffee in your hand when you walked in?" I asked him as he took a sip from his energy drink.
"O yeah! I did" Blaza said as he picked up his coffee cup.
He opened up his coffee, and poured his monster energy drink into it. I just looked at him with big eyes.
"Are you crazy?!" I nearly yelled at him as he was about to take a sip.

"Laff! Blaza! If you don't want to pay attention, at least be quiet enough so the rest can learn" The teacher yelled at us.
"Sorry sir" We both said at the same time.
"So your name is Laff, huh?" Blaza said as he looked at me.
"Yeah... Hey! Don't change the subject" I said in a hushed tone, as to not disturb the others.

"Why do you care? Just give me my cup back" Blaza said as I took his cup with the monster coffee away from him.
"Because I'm not allowing you to have a heart attack so early in the morning. Or anytime really" I said as I slightly lowered the cup.
"But what if you already gave me a heart attack?" He said as he got close to my face.
I was about to respond, but he quickly took the cup back, and gulped the content down his throat.

"Just know I'm not taking you to the nurses office if something bad happens because of what you just did"
"Yeah right. Like somethings going to happen" Blaza said as he rolled his eyes at me.
"And do you even know where the nurse's office is?"
"No, I don't" I admitted.

"I could show you if you wanted" Blaza said as he winked at me.
"We barely know each other for 5 minutes, and you're now already asking me out on a date?" I asked him with a smug grin.
"I mean, why not? You're a decent looking guy"
"Decent? How dare you think so low of me"

~Later that week~

"What did he do this time?" Socks asked when I told him that Blaza was in the nurse's office.
"I heard he got into a fight because someone broke his sunglasses" Nadwe said.
"I mean... He did get into a fight... But not for that reason" I told them.
"He got into a fight because someone made a mean comment against Laff" Meme chimed in.
"No way. Is that true Laff?" Nadwe and Socks asked in sync.

I took a deep breath before answering them.
"Yes, it is. I told him to ignore them, but he got mad and sort of started the fight..."
"But no one needs to know he started it" Meme said.
"So... are we going to visit him today? I have a free hour after the big break, so I could go then" Joocie finally chimed in too.
"I don't, but I'm fine with going in lunchbreak to see him" Socks said.
"So... we're going to see him during lunch?" Tbh asked.
"Yeah, sure" Was the answer of basically everyone.

And at that moment the Bell to signal our next set of classes went off. This was only our first break of the day.
"Alright, see you then!" Joocie said before walking away towards his class.
"Hey! Wait for me!" TBH yelled as he chased after Joocie to their class.
I walked towards my class as the rest split off one or two at a time.
This was the class that I first met Blaza. Or well... That was last Monday, this is the Friday class, but still.

It was honestly really boring without Blaza, who I shared many more classes with, so it was really weird to not have him sit next to me. No one else went to sit next to me either.
"Hey Laff" Someone in front of me asked.
"Yeah?" I answered without disturbing the teacher.
"Where's Blaza? I thought I saw him this morning"

"He got into a fight last break, he's in the nurse's office right now" I told him.
"O, wish him well from me"
"I will"
"Laff! Chris! Pay attention!"
"Yes sir" We said in union.

~Time skip to their lunch break~

"So everyone's here?" Joocie asked.
"Yeah, Dino and Muffin are sick at home, and the others wanted to have their break" Nadwe said as Tbh was looking like something was wrong.
"Ah, alright. Let's go!"
And so we all went to the nurse's office.

We somehow were all let in by the nurse, and we saw Blaza, curled into a ball on the bed.
"You really took the quite the hits, didn't you?" Socks asked.
"Blaza got quite the beating, but the other one had to be send to the hospital" The nurse answered his question.
"That's going to bring so much trouble..." Joocie and Tbh said as they both facepalmed.

"It's what he deserved for being mean to Laff" Blaza said as he hugged my waist.
Or well, he tried to hug my waist, but I was a bit too far away from the bed for him to do that.
"Watch out!" The nurse scolded him as she helped him back into the bed.
"If you promise to take care of him, I'll leave all of you alone together, alright?"
"He's already a bit too reckless when he's sober, but now that he got the strong painkillers, there is barely anything that can stop him from doing stupid things"

"We will take care of him ma'am. Please take a break, we don't want you to overwork yourself" Joocie told the nurse.
"Why? Are you planning on getting into this office in the next few weeks?" Socks tauntingly asked him.
"No, but one of you might" Joocie retorted.
"How so?" I asked, not knowing much about this group before I joined them.

"If it wasn't Blaza we had to visit, it was either one of you two" Joocie let on.
"We went to visit Tbh and Nadwe too!" Socks yelled.
"I tripped and hurt my knee!" Nadwe yelled.
"And it's not my fault I fell of the stairs because someone else wasn't looking" Tbh defended himself.

"Guys..." Blaza whined.
"Sheesh, he's drugged up by those painkillers" Tbh said.
"I think I might better enjoy my free period somewhere else" Joocie said as he slowly backed away towards the door.
"Yeah, I need lunch, so let's go to the store" Nadwe said as he took Joocie by his wrist and dragged him out of the office.
"Hey! Wait! I want to go too!" Socks and Tbh yelled as they chased after Joocie and Nadwe.

So that left me and Blaza alone.
At least, that was until Meme came barging in.
"Hey Blaza! How are you doing?"
"I'm fine! Can't you see?" Blaza said sarcastically.
At least that part was still intact despite the painkillers.

I laughed so hard that I bowed, but once I stopped and got up again, I was met with a Blaza with puppy eyes and grabby hands towards me.
"Alright, alright. I'll let you give me a hug" I said as I walked over enough for Blaza to actually grab me by my waist.
"I missed you" He said, sounding more like himself again.
"And everything hurts"
Ah, that explains it. His painkillers have worked out.

"Can you give me some?" He asked me, and I gave some to him.
I carefully sat next to him on the bed,
Once he had taken the painkiller, I wanted to ask him something, and so I did.

"You know, when I joked about you taking me on a date to the nurses office... You knew I was joking, right?"
"Yeah, I expected our first date to be a bit more romantic than this" Blaza said as he was still laying curled up in a ball on the bed.
"Eh, anywhere is fine really. As long as I'm with you, I'll be okay"
"You'll be okay? How dare you think so low of me" Blaza tried to joke as he mimicked my voice and accent.

"Well, I can't say I'll be good when I have to see you in pain in front of me"
"Close your eyes and you won't see that anymore"
"Get a room you two" Meme said as he had his head turned away from us.
"We had, until you came into it" I said as I looked away from Blaza to look at Meme.

"Alright, alright. I'll go" He said as he got up from the wall and walked out of the room.
"Now that that's out of the way. I have something to ask you" Blaza announced as he took my hand in both of his.
"Laff, would you like to be my boyfriend?"
"Blaza. We don't even know each other for a whole week" I said with a small laugh.

"Ask me again in about a month, alright?"
"But we're meant to be!" Blaza whined.
"Alright I'm leaving, your medicine is kicking in" I said as I stood up from my seat.
I was about to walk out of the door, but something was holding me back.

"But my answer is yes either way" I said with a wink before leaving Blaza to fall asleep.
