Hello I just found out that the name Stellaluna is not actually a cultural Latin name.

You would traditionally only get 'Stella' (meaning star) or 'Luna' (moon) just one -not both

And the only reason the name Stellaluna exists is because of a 1993 picture book about a fruit bat

And why are the comments on nameberry so mean?

'Cute for a bat, not a kid.'

'Better for an Italian restaurant than a person!'

'Sweet baby name but really weird when the baby grows up.'

'It's sooo hard to say! 10/10 would not recommend this name!'
