VOLUME ONE-CHAPTER 10

Chapter Ten-Stealing Photographs

Then Mathin and Mohona secretly had picked the pictures from the board and hid it in their purses. They sneaked out by closing the gate of the factory. The watchman woke up. Mathin and Mohona were not noticed by the watchman because they ran fast as superwomen. They also wore a burqa that also prevented the watchman to see them. They went to a tea shop. Mathin asked the shopkeeper to cook tea for the ladies.

"Thank God! We took the photos and send it to the police. My parents are really supporting that I can show this" said Mathin.

"I will also manage the photos to the police as well. I hope, that handsome. What is his name? Oh yes Ataur. He seems to be informative as well" said Mohona.

"I doubt about him but he is a nice guy. He was also a brilliant when he was in High School" said Mathin.

"Wow! The brilliant man in our house! We should talk to him. Hope this prince charming will give us the advice" said Mohona.

Meanwhile, Limon was reading a newspaper about D.M. Ghani's involvement in the birth anniversary of the famous national poet of Bangladesh. When he was giving a speech, his pant was unknowingly opened that became a part of a joke. Limon gave a sarcastic laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" asked Daud.

"D.M. Ghani's a laughing stock now. Don't trust him" said Limon.

"Oh, the chairman of the factory where Mathin works; is it?" said Daud.

"Yes, this person is never trustable. Mathin and all other women are in danger. Ask her if she's aware" said Limon.

Daud agreed. As a father of Mathin, when he re-read the news about Ghani, smokes came from his ears. He was singing folk songs in such a tone that people from the slums ran away as if it was an earthquake. Limon calmed the voice down by pretending to clear his throat. Then, he sang the folk song in a clear tone that calmed the people in the slum.

"Relief! The earthquake is gone!" enchanted one of the inhabitants of the slum as most people came from their whereabouts.

Limon went to the mosque for Zuhr Zum'ah prayer (The noon prayer) that starts at 1 O' Clock. During the prayer, Mathin went to pray at home. After the two prayed, Limon came to the house. Mathin went to Limon silently.

"Ataur, I want to show you some photographs" said Mathin.

"Sure, show me" said Limon.

After she showed Limon the pictures, Limon was not surprised but concerned.

"Where did you get this from?" asked Limon.

"I got this from the factory. D.M. Ghani?" said Mathin.

"Oh, yes. Do you want to get this to the police? If yes, I must say, NO. You must have to show it to the Rapid Action Battalion" said Limon.

"Why is that?" asked Mathin.

"The police are no longer in use. These days, there are less honest police officers but most of them are the group of black sheep of the department. Some people like to bribe them. They are not the ones we used to know anymore" said Limon.

"Thanks for the information, Ataur" said Mathin.

"Sure Mathin. Understand, I am here to support you. Take Mohona to the R.A.B station tomorrow. Sharp 6 o clock. I will be there with you" said Limon.

Mathin blushed at Limon. Limon smiled at Mathin.

"Thank you" said Limon.

"Thank you" said Mathin.

"Arrey! You thank you!"

"You thank you! You are unbelievable. Bye" said Limon

"Bye bye" said Mathin

As Mathin left his room, she dreamt of herself being touched by Limon (Ataur). But the dream was faded away by Mathin's father- Daud.
