This is it. My time to escape the wars and awfulness of my world. To be in a new land full of hope, prospect and best of all, no trouble. My name is Layla and I am leaving my world of Srrin. Srrin was a mess. Everywhere I went, You could guarantee a rocket would whiz over your head, landing on some building nearby. I tried to stay in Srrin, I really did but after 7 months of endless war, I had had enough. In my house, I told my mum, 

"Mum, I am leaving this world. Things have just gone from bad to worse."

Mum tried to stop me leaving but I refused. Eventually, she just gave up and seeing she couldn't stop me, decided to let me go. She told me,

"Layla, go to the wizard and take a feather with you - don't ask me why. I would go with you but I cannot afford the wizards potion tax. Don't worry for my safety, I will move elsewhere in Srrin, where I am safe."

We hugged each other, until I said goodbye and went to see the wizard, picking up a feather along the way.

The potion pot was near and I had my feather. Trembling with excitement, I approached the pot and gazed at the swirling colours inside. I knew what I was going to wish for and this was my chance to escape my boring war affected life and have freedom, in another human world. I could just see my new life now, I would have loads of friends, use money to buy lots of things and it wouldn't be all fairy-tale magic like it was in Srrin. The wizard who was stirring the potion looked at me and asked for my feather, which I handed to him. Before he dropped it into the potion, he asked me,

"Are you certain you want to leave Srrin? I have a feeling you will be dissapointed in Atlo - the other human world."

I sighed and told the wizard that I was certain I wanted to leave and he dropped the feather into the pot. Stirring it in, he told me to go to the nearest 'orphange' and go home with the couple 'Rivers' once I was in Alto. Then, after the feather was stirred in, there was a shower of sparkles and I left Srrin, travelling by portal to Atlo.
