The next morning I wake up at the reasonable time of six thirty in the morning. I get myself ready. I put on my baggy blue sweatshirt on over my grey shirt and go to my usual morning spot, the bridge.
"One day... I'll be there..." I whisper as I stare into the water. Movement is seen under the water and a splash is seen just feet away from me, a few drops hit my face and hands...
I sigh as I see a shell where the splash just was. I go to it and see my initials on the outside. I pick it up and my hand start to scale up.
I break it open and see a note. I open it curious of the contents.
(Y/n),
Sorry about the splash but it's the only way I think I can give this to you. In two weeks time meet me at the shore at (coordinates) 1 am. Please I need you to be there to explain things to you.

I fold it back up and put it in my pocket. I check the time and see that there are forty five minutes until school starts. I get there ten minutes later. I sit at one of the tables, almost nobody is in the room before school.
I look at my hands and study what the scales look like, coral is the color I would describe them as. The edges are extremely sharp but don't hurt when I close my hand and end up stabbing the other scales.
As I'm looking at them I don't notice the company I receive in the time. Not until the sound of someone clearing their throat catches my attention.
"I-oh hi." I say hiding my hands as I look at Peter sitting across from me.
"Hi (y/n)." He smiles, "how are you?"
"I-I'm a-alright. Just h-have a bit o-of a re-reaction." I say avoiding eye contact.
"An allergic reaction?" He says concern lacing his voice. I shrug.
"I-It's w-water. I c-can't t-t-touch it." I explain. It's hard to keep secrets when someone has broken into your boundaries.
