Days go by... I'm left alone and still feeling sick as I'm not allowed to change into mermaid form yet.  It's Friday afternoon and I'm sitting at the table with my head down.

"(Y/n) are you ok?" Ned asks sitting across from me.

"Noooooo." I whine pulling my hood over my face.

"What's wrong." He asks concernedly putting his hand on top of mine.

"I feel like I'm dead." I cry into my sleeve, I'm acting more emotional than I would on a normal day or in a blood day.

"I'm pretty sure you aren't." Peter sats sitting next to me.

"It's because I'm not allowed to do the thing that will make me feel better because I might die, and if I don't do it I might die." I say super dramatically.

"Whats that?" Ned asks.

"I need to immerse myself in water forever!"

Ned laughs thinking I'm joking.  Peter just scratches my back as I lay closer to him.

I leave the school and notice that Homecoming is actually tonight.  I'm not going because I feel so sick...  plus nobody asked me to go either.

I get home and resist the urge to fill the tub up with water and lay in that for a while.  I lay on my bed until an idea sparks.

I press my phone pearl and call Dad.  He'll know what to do.

"Hey Pipsqueak. I see you've gotten the hang of your bracelet." I hear him say.

"Yeah.  I'm wondering if you know of a pool or something that I can go to tonight?"

"Yeah let me send someone to pick you up.  I'll see you soon." He says hanging up.  I smile and end up falling asleep... until an aggressive knock is heard on my door.

"Hello?" I ask still waking up.

"Are you (y/n)" the man on the other side of the door says after I open it.

"Yeah."

"Mr. Stark sent me to pick you up." He says.  I smile and walk inside and put some stuff in a bag and putting my special items in my safe as I forgot to this morning.

I get into the car he drove and lied myself down on the backseat while listening to music.  An hour later we stop at a really nice building.

"(Y/n)! Welcome to the new avengers facility." Dad says as I get out.  I gawk at it and he leads me to a medium sized bedroom with a hatch in the corner.

"Here's your room, you are welcomed to stay here whenever you'd like.  And under that hatch is the entrance to the tank that goes around most of the building." He says.  I hug him tightly before taking my shirt and pants of, revealing my swimsuit and go into the tank and transforming.
