Noriko's POV

The early morning sun shimmered through the small gap in my curtains. Unlike the usual start to my morning, I was awake early. Stretching out of bed I went downstairs, hoping to eat some breakfast before going to school. I was greeted by a warm "Morning!" the moment I entered the kitchen, a smile spreading across my face. "Morning, have you already eaten?" I asked looking at the empty pan in the sink, "Yeah I did sorry, thought you were still asleep." I just nodded while reaching for the cereal cupboard, "How is UA? Everything you thought it would be?" Taking the seat next to him I answered, "Yeah its good, I expected more hero lessons than there are." He just chuckled before standing up and ruffling my hair, "You only just joined kid, you can't expect to jump right into action." Taking another bite of my cereal I 'hm'ed in understanding. I took a second to look at my dad, he was wearing his work uniform with a cup of coffee in his hand, his chestnut bed hair left untouched, under his eyes I could see slight dark circles and eyebags beginning to form. I was broken from my thoughts by him looking at his watch, "I got to go kid, love you have a good day, stay safe!" Smiling back I shouted back before he left the door, "Have a good day, love you!"

Having had the time to get ready in the morning, I was finally able to make the train instead of having to walk. As expected for the time in the morning the train was packed with commuters to work and students. Looking round I could see a free seat a couple of feet away, pushing my way through I began to head towards it. With what felt like a loud thump I sat down on the patterned cushioning, the people around me were all absorbed with something, the woman next to me with her music through her earphones and the man next to me with newspaper in his hands. Looking across from me I could see a boy engulfed in the book in his hands, something about him looked familiar. Moving my head I tried to get a look at the boy though the crowd, but to no avail.

The train stopped, many students and workers getting off heading their own way by foot. UA was the next stop, and looking around I could spot many students wearing the same uniform as my own. The cart on the train was much less empty, now allowing me to look at the boy across from me. Surely enough I had been right, I did know the boy- well somewhat. I couldn't help but take the time to look at him, his bi-coloured hair splitting almost dead in the middle, neither side daring to oppose on the other; his hetrochromic eyes darting across the book in hands, absorbing the information. Debatably the most noticeable thing about the boy was the large scar covering his right eye.

Third Person POV

Todoroki couldn't help but notice the gaze that fell upon him, finishing the page he was on he looked up to meet the eyes of the person. With her face suddenly developing a pink hue out of embarrassment, Noriko gave a small pathetic wave to the boy only for him to continue to look at her for a minute before returning back to his book.

Minutes later the train came to a stop, students began to get up and leave the train. Noriko looked around for the candy cane like hair before jogging to catch up with him, "Hey you're Todoroki right?" The boy slightly surprised by the question turned to the girl, "Yes, and you're Ito if I'm correct." Waving her hands in the air she smiled before replying, "Yeah but I prefer to just be called Noriko." Todoroki nodded, mentally noting it in his head before turning back to look ahead of him. The two walked in radio silence together towards school and their classroom.

The school day continued normally until 12.50 when Aizawa entered the classroom ready to explain to 1-A the lesson for the day, "Now for todays basic hero training. This time All Might, myself and one other will supervise. Preparing you for disaster relief from fire and floods, its rescue training!" The class began to erupt into small conversations before receiving a sharp glare from their teacher, "It's up to each of you whether or not you wear your costumes. As some of them are ill-suited to this sort of activity. The training site is a bit remote, so we'll be travelling by bus. That's all. Get ready." The class all nodded, each going to get dressed and prepared for rescue training, none aware for the real challenge they were about to face.
