~"I had a dream about a burning house
You were stuck inside
I couldn't get you out
I lay beside you and pulled you close
And the two of us went up in smoke." Burning House - Cam~

I managed to convince my brothers to let us stay another day so I could visit the City of Dale. I have heard of its vast luxuries of the finest fabric and its riches.
I was sure I looked like a little kid wondering around the city wide eyed. Of course, to my brothers I am still a child.
Many children were flying their kites, with smiles on their faces, enjoying the nice windy day.
Though it worried me, for it felt dry air blowing from the north, hearing the cracking sound of trees snapping.
The little shops rattled, and baskets tumbled over and a few clothes went flying up in the air.
The children's kites burned and buildings started to crumble.
Horns started going off, as people started running in all different directions towards the exits.
A dragon flew right over my head.
I have only read them in books and have heard stories of them. Never would I have thought I would ever see one.
More balls of fire crashed into the side of towers and buildings, causing them to fall or catch on fire.
I heard a loud crack, turning around a saw a wall of fire coming towards me and other civilians.
I quickly raised my hands in front of my face causing the fire to stop in its place.
I held it in place for enough time that it disappeared, letting the people have way to leave the city.
I saw a young girl standing on one of the carts starring at a doll, burning in the ground. I picked up the burning doll, which caused the flames to disappear once I touched it, and quickly handed it back to the girl.
I looked up to the hill and saw the Elven King on his elk, along with an army behind him, proud and tall.
But, they just stood there.
(What was he waiting on?)
His elk then turned around, followed by his army, they left.
"He's leaving? He's leaving! These people need help! We need help!" I shouted looking back at my brothers.
The flames around us got bigger, as people pushed past us.
"Lìvia!" Elladan shouted over the cries of people, and smoke flying around us. "He most likely has no idea we are even here!"
"It doesn't matter! People are dying!" I shouted, as the flames got higher.
"Lìvia, you have to stay calm, your causing the fire to spread."
"I'm not doing it, I'm wearing my ring."
"It's just a ring, Lìvia!"
In that moment I didn't care that a dragon was destroying the city and taking over Eerbor. What froze me in place was the words my brother just said.
"What?"
"There is nothing special about that ring. There never was, Gandalf just told you what you wanted to hear."
I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing, Gandalf lied to me.
"Lìvia! Come on!" Elladan shouted, pulling my arm. Which caused me to snap out of my daze.
"No! We can't just leave them here! They're dying!"
"So are we!"
The day Smaug took over Eerbor and burned Dale to runes.
Was the day my respect to the King of the Woodland Realm left.

When we returned home, I didn't bother going to dinner, instead I rushed to my room closing the door behind me.
The fireplace lit up as I passed it, pulling off the ring from my finger.
(It's just a ring. There was nothing special about it. It was all in my mind, and to think that it could actually help me.)
Gandalf wished for me to have my mind over my will, to keep it low.
Well the story is on him, I do not wish to lower my possibilities, not anymore.
At first, the flames only appeared with emotions, but eventually, I will learn to summon it at will.

*Dramatic music*
Hi, I'm alive and well.
So I just finished my exams.
That's why I haven't updated since October.
But that's over now! Passed all my classes I updated. Life is good.
I hope to update again, either before Christmas or at least close to Christmas.
I didn't get much feedback as I liked to have had back in my last chapter about Aragorn, whether he is 11 at the time of the Hobbit like the book or have him already be a ranger like the movie portrays.
So I decided to follow the book. Its a lot easier with all the timelines and stuff.
I hope that's alright....
Also one last thing if you don't already follow her go check out @Ellethwen2931 she as an awesome selection of LOTR fanfic books. You can also check out her newest book called Destiny.
The cover, made by yours truly, me!
With that lets move on.
