Chapter 30
Not A Goodbye
T.A.2510
Vinyamer
Out of everything, the sunset was beautiful. Bright orange, and pale yellow as it hit the water.
I heard the waves hitting the shores.
I smelled the salty seas.
I felt the misty wind, blowing against my skin.
I saw the boat that will take my mother away.
~~~
Naneth was the first to speak to me, after she spoke to Grandma, and Grandpa, hugging them goodbye.
"Be good, 'lell nin.'" She said, hugging me.
"I will, 'Naneth.'" I said, hugging her for the last time.
She then moved on to Arwen and so forth.
I hardly have ever seen Elladan and Elrohir cry. It was just something I never seen them do.
"Protect them, Elrohir."
"I'm Elladan. He's Elrohir."
"Ah, right. Sorry, Elladan."
She then moved on to the real Elladan.
"I'm only joking. I am Elrohir."
"Honestly, woman. You call yourself our mother." Elladan replied, like an old joke.
I gave a quick chuckle, as did Naneth.. One last joke before she left.
Once she got to Ada, I think it was the hardest thing I've ever seen them do.
Say goodbye.
Even though its not.
I'm still relatively young, so even when they kiss. Its sweet, sad, and unpleasant. I closed my eyes, barely mouthing a word.
"Eww."
"Lìvia." Arwen hissed, smacking my arm.
"Ouch." I whispered, rubbing my arm, my eyes now open. "We were all thinking it."
"I'm sure it was just you."
~~~
Naneth stepped on the boat, it then started to leave the dock.
She turned to us and waved goodbye, as we did the same. She then turned back facing the sun.
~~~
I could still see the boat, as the sun now faded under the waves.
We finally left the docks, when the moon came out.
We rode in silence.
~~~
Rivendell
Two days later
Once we arrived back, Lindir was there to greet us.
"Lord Elrond, dinner will be ready shortly."
"Thank you, Lindir."
He bowed and left.
"Lìvia." Grandma said.
"Yes."
"Follow me please."
~~~
She lead me through the gardens, until we came upon a fountain of my mother pointing towards the Grey Heavens.
"You did well, young one."
"I just wished we stopped it."
"I know my dear, but we will see her again."
"Arwen, will not."
"You have much faith in that decision. Yet, the choice is still up to her."
"Why, do I have this curse?"
"A gifted curse it is. I believe you have it, because you can make the right choices, when the time comes. Like you did with your mother."
"I feel bad, for not regretting me decision. Why?"
"Because, your heart knows you made the right decision."
"It doesn't feel right, to keep secrets from family. Yet, we both did, - did Grandpa know?"
"Yes, he knew before we came."
"Then, why are my brothers and sister the only ones, not knowing?"
"You know the answer."
I nodded.
"Now, lets us get ready for dinner."
~~~
Arwens' POV
"Lìvia."
"Yes."
"Follow me, please."
They left, leaving me, Elladan, and Elrohir, by the entrance.
"We should follow them." I stated.
"Why?" They both asked.
"They know something we do not." I replied, as I started walking.
Turning back I asked.
"Are you two coming?"
They both looked at each other, then faced me nodding.
~~~
"Why, do I have this curse?" Lìvias' voice asked.
We hid in the bushes, hopefully not to be seen or heard.
"A gifted curse, it is. I believe you have it, because you can make the right choices, when the time comes. Like you did with your mother."
(What choice? What is she talking about?)
I looked at my brothers, who were just as confused as me.
"I feel bad for not regretting my decision. Why?"
"Because, your heart, knows you made the right decision."
"It doesn't feel right, to keep secrets from family. Yet, we both did, did Grandpa know?"
"Yes, he knew before we came."
"Then way are my brothers and my sister the only ones, not knowing?"
"You know the answer."
She nodded.
"Now, let us get ready for dinner."
I could not believe it. She knew. Lìvia lied to us.
~~~
Lìvias' POV
Dinner was quite.
Arwen, Elladan, and Elrohir sat across from me, in that order. Ada to my left, Grandma, and Grandpa to my right.
I just starred at my plate, picking around.
Something was wrong, I could feel it.
We continued to eat in silence, until Arwen dropped her fork.
"Why, did you lie to us?" She asked, hurt and angry.
Everyone looked up from their plates.
"Arwen." Ada warned, in whisper.
"No! I want to know why she lied!" She shouted, getting out of her chair.
I looked back down at my plate. I could no longer hear the conversation they were having, a voice took over.
~{Dafile, adles. Hiil-izish, agh gniht-il eb tter.}~
{Come, child. Follow me, and everything will be better.}
"Arwen, its not your sisters'-"
"She's not my sister!"
My heart broke right then and there. I never thought I would ever hear those words. I heard Arwens' footsteps leave the room.
"We'll go after her." Elladans' voice replied.
I glanced up just long enough to see their disappointing looks, upon me. How they must hate me.
I'm no longer a sister, to them.
~{Dafile, adles. Gniht-il eb tter. Dafile.}~
My mind slowly left my surroundings. My fathers' voice becoming faint.
"Lìvia?"
~{Dafile.}~
"Lìvia?!"
I'm unsure if I replied or not, before I saw darkness.
~~~
~It was dark. I saw nothing, only hearing a voice.
"Lìvia?"
The voice was female, and too familiar.
'Naneth?'
"Lìvia!"
'Naneth!?' "Where are you?"
"I'm right here, my dear."
I turned around finding her standing a few feet away. Her arms open wide.
"Come child."
I ran straight into her arms, tears pouring down my face.
"Its alright, my dear. Listen my voice. Everything is going to be better now."
(Wait a minute.)
"Who are -" I was cut off my a burning pain in my chest.
I fell to the ground, hearing that voice, no longer hers'.
"Sleep now, child. You will be mine."
~~~
I stood in flames, but I did not burn. There are Men, Elves, Dwarfs, women, and even children, in the fire with me.
They cried, and screamed in pain. Their cries begging for it to stop.
I could no longer take it, my hands covered my ears, my eyes shut tight. Just hoping to block it out.
"MAKE IT STOP!" I shouted, falling on my knees.
It continued for a few more seconds.
Then, it just stopped.
No more screams. I slowly lowered my hands, and opened my eyes.
Flames no longer surrounded me, but ashes instead.
The voice came once more.
"Well done."~

Well..
Bye.
WOW. I'm awful.
I said Elladan and Elrohir, were not Fred & George. And here I am doing one of their lines.
I just couldn't pass it up.
Those lines belong to J.K Rolling not me. I also don't own LOTR or The HOBBIT.
Wish I did. But I don't.
Um..
At least no twin dies in this story......

I regret nothing.
