Elronds' POV

"I can't stay here, 'Melleth.'" Celebrían whispered, not looking at me.

We were in our chambers, getting ready for Lìvias' birthday.

I knew it was time.

(She wants to leave? She needs to leave.)

"What do you mean, you can't stay?" I asked not looking her way.

"I can no longer live in Middle-earth. You may have healed the scars, on the outside, but you can not heal the ones on the inside."

Scars don't heal, they fade. Even as time goes by you are still reminded of the pain, the touchier. It never goes away.

"So you truly want to leave?"

"Of course not. I do not want to leave you, or the children. - What is this?"

I turned to see my wife on the bed, tears ready to fall. She held a thick, black book, with gold letters, written on it.

Jewels Under the Mountains

"Where did you get that?" I asked walking towards her.

"Found it with my clothes."

(So that's, where I put it.)

I had to move it, because Lìvia was getting to close for comfort. Thought she might find it.

"You're giving this for her birthday?"

I smiled.

"You, have a small portion of your mothers' gift."

"Elrond, you can not give this to Lìvia, as a present."

"Why, she loves books."

"Yes, but its her birthday, you need to give her something special."

"This book is special." I assured her, sitting beside her.

"Elrond, I do not think-"

"It may not be special to you, 'Melamin.' But, it will be special to her." I said planting a kiss on her forehead.

Her head then rested on my shoulder.

"When do you leave, Celebrían?"

"Mother, says there will be a ship in fourteen days." She was quite for a moment. "When do we tell the children?"

"Not today. Today we celebrate. We'll tell them tomorrow."

Celebrían nodded, quickly wiping the tears from her face. Then got up, to finish getting ready.

Lìvias' POV

I stood in front of my full length mirror. I looked at my reflection.

Looking at my dress. It was white with a navy blue pull over. I then looked at my necklace, those 3 gems, still hanging around my neck.

I looked back at my reflection, glancing at the circlet on my head. It was sliver, and in the middle of it was a white gem.

I then looked at my hair. Just as I grew, so did my hair. Still brown at the top and white at the bottom, ending at my shoulders.

"You look beautiful." A male voice said.

I quickly turned around to see who it was. Never the less, it was Elrohir, standing at my door. Wearing the same outfit he wore ten years ago.

"You're, just saying that, because I'm your sister."

"No, of course not, Squirt." He said, walking to me.

I gave a quick laugh.

"Elrohir, are you ever going to stop calling me that?"

He gave me a confused look.

"I'm sorry, how old are you?"

I rolled my eyes, turning back to the mirror. Easily seeing my brother behind me.

"Honestly, Elrohir, a Mûmakil, has more brain cells then you." I said, smiling.

I saw him scoff, as I laughed.

"But, you did not answer my question." He replied, walking closer.

"I'm twenty, Elrohir." I said, turning back to him.

"Alright, let us see -"

He started mumbling to himself, counting is fingers. I had to cover my mouth, I was laughing so hard. After he finished counting his fingers, he spoke.

"In exactly, - never."

Putting his hands, behind his back, with the biggest grin on his face. I sighed, and if I thought that grin of his could get any bigger, it just did.

"Why, are you here, Elrohir?"

"Well, I get the honor of escorting you. Again."

"Again? You make it sound like a bad thing."

"No, I didn't mean it like that, Squirt."

"Oh, not again." I mounded. Elrohir laughed, as I smiled.

"You'll, always be my little sister." He said, pulling me into a hug.

"And, you'll always be my older brother, no matter what, right?" I asked, pulling away from the hug.

"Of course, Lìvia. - Is there something you wish to tell me?" He asked worried.

I shook my head.

"Nothing, that concerns me right now."

He nodded.

"Well, then." He said holding up his arm. "May, I?"

"Yes, you may." I said, putting my arm around his.

When then walked to the Great Hall.

~~~
The night was moving quite fast, in its own way. Music played, laughter filled the air, dancing never stopped.
Some point in the night, all the elves wanted me to sing. So, how could I refuse, I couldn't .
I walked up the little platform we had, thinking on what to sing. Picking a song they started to play, as I sang.
--(Repeats)--
"Step out the door and it feels like rain
That's the sound that's the sound on your window pane
Take to the streets but they can't ignore
That's the sound (that's the sound) you're waiting for
If ever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down
That's where you'll find me
Yeah, Valar love your soul and your aching bones
Take a breath, take a steep, meet me down below
Everyone's the same
Our fingers to our toes
We just can't get it right
But we're on the road
If ever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down
That's where you'll find me
Yeah, lost till you're found
Swim till you drown
Know that we all fall down
Love till you hate
Strong till you break
Know that we all fall down"
The music got faster, as I continued to sing.
"If ever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down
If ever your world starts crashing down
That's where you'll find (find) me
Lost till you're found
Swim till you drown
Know that we all fall down
Love till you hate
Strong till you break
Know that we all fall down
All fall down, we all fall down, all fall down
We all fall down, all fall down, all fall down
Lost till you're found
Swim till you drown
Know that we all fall down
Love till you hate
Strong till you break
Know that we all fall down."
The music slowed down, then stopped. There came around of applause, and cheers. I bowed, and walked off the platform.
Celebríans' POV
It's a shame that this will be the last celebration I ever attend, but I would not have it any other way.
Seeing, Lìvia having a wonderful time meant everything to me.
~~~

Lìvias' POV

"Here, Lìvia, this is for you." Ada said, handing me a package.

We were in the library, Ada said he wanted to give his, more private.

I opened the package to see, it was a book. The book was thick, and black, with golden letters.

Jewels Under the Mountain

"I love it, 'Ada.'"

"Why, don't you open it?"

I expected to see jewels beyond my imagination. But when I opened it, there was only one jewel, in a padded case, on a black chain.

"It's beautiful, 'Ada.'"

"Lìvia, I want you to listen to me."

"Alright."

"I want you to give this, to an 'Ellon', who knows what its like to lose something, or someone you love."

Legolas' POV

"Legolas." My fathers' voice called.

I turned to see him and Naneth, making their way to me.

"Yes, 'Ada.'"

"We want you to have this." Naneth said handing me a small box.

"What is it?" I asked taking the box.

"We know, it would not be your first choice as a gift -"

I opened the box to see a jewel on a white chain. I picked the necklace up by the loop of the chain.

I'll be honest when say this.

"It's beautiful, but why give this to me?"

"Legolas, I want you to listen."

I nodded.

"I want you to give this to an 'Elleth', who knows what its like to lose something or someone who you love."

Lìvias' POV

I sat on my wooden chest that lied at the end of my bed. I had my new necklace on, along with my other one.

I'm just really dreading when Ada and Naneth tell us the news. Of course I already knew, but it still was painful, even to think about it.

Taking me from my thoughts, was a knock on my door.

"Come in."

The door opened, Elrohir poked his head in.

"Squirt. We're needed in the library."

"What, for?" I asked knowing the answer.

"I do not know. We are just needed."

"Alright."

~~~
Elrohir opened the library doors, extending his arm out so I could pass him, walking in after me, closing the door behind him.
Ada, Naneth, Elladan, and Arwen were already here. I looked at my father to see his eyes starring right back at mine.
(By the Valar, help me.)
"Why are we here, 'Ada?'" Elladan asked.
"We have something to tell you." Naneth replied.
"You're not pregnant again, are you?" Elladan half shouted.
"Valar, no." Naneth almost shrieked.
Ah, that's a shame. Lindir and Glorfindel, won't be able to make another bet.
Yes, I know about that.
"Thank the Valar." Elladan sighed.
"Love, you too, Elladan." I said.
"I didn't mean it like that." He quickly protested.
"Sounded like it."
"Children!" Ada called.
"Sorry, 'Ada.'" We said, shamefully.
"As we were saying, we have something to say"
We looked at our parents, waiting for them to continue.
"I'm sailing to the Grey Heavens." Naneth finally said.
I knew those words were coming, but when Naneth said them, it hurt. I think out of the four of us, I took the news better.
It was quite for a moment, letting the words sink in.
"Why?" Arwen asked, broken.
"I can no longer live here. I still feel the pain, I can not stay."
