I watched Hallie walk out of the room and for a minute I tried to comprehend what just happened "Did . . . Did she. . . just make. . .a. . . deduction ?"  My little girl is a deductionist ? Who would of thought. "Did she just have a Sherlock moment ?" Lestrade said I gave him a questioning look "A deduction moment. No Offense." "None taken. Anyway's I think she is ready to go out with us." "First let's talk to her about the case." Lestrade said "Good idea let's." I walked out of the room smiling "Hallie can deduct, wait until I tell John."

                                                                       (Sherlok's P.O.V)

       Me and Lestrade ran after Hallie only to find her making tea talking with Molly. "Oh hey Sherlock." Molly said keeping calm and soft around me. Hallie gave her a  look but then looked at my puzzled expression she piped up "What is it what's wrong Sherlock ?" she asked. I could not help my sarcastic remark and I shot out "Make a deduction and find out !" I had not realized how harsh I had sounded until her smile faded away and she started to stare at the ground. "Come on you know I did not mean it like that Hallie." She looked up at me and gave a half hearted smile "It is okay I get it Sherlock. Can I go home ?" Now my face fell did she really just say she wanted to give up a case before it even started ? "Hallie why you have wanted this for  awhile what is it ?" "It is nothing I just want to go home Sherlock please." "Was she actually begging me to let her give up on a case ? Something is not right." "Hallie can I talk to you for a minute in the hall ?" "Sure."

                                                                           (Hallie's P.O.V)

     When Sherlock snapped at me like that I automatically felt like I was overstepping my boundaries just being here I mean I did not mean to make a deduction about Anderson it just happened. then he finally spoke again and said "Hallie can I talk to you for a minute in the hall ?" and of course without hesitation I said  "Sure." I walked out quietly and as soon as the door was closed behind me he said "Alright talk what is really bothering you Hallie, you have always wanted to go on a case and now you are backing down, so really what is it ?" I was getting upset with him did he really want me to say it "You're the deductionist, read me and find out what is wrong !" He seemed to go quiet for a momewnt before looking ashamed and admitting "I can't." "Excuse me ?" "I can't you are the only person I can never figure out." I looked at him shocked the great Sherlock Holmes cannot read me wow. "So just tell me Hallie what is bothering you ?" "As if I do not feel as if I belong here already. I do not need you and John yelling at me you two are all I have." "What about in school you have friends don't you ?" "Sherlock there are only seven of us in the advanced group and I am almost done with school, why can't I just have an ordinary mind." I said banging my head against the wall.

 Sherlock looked at ma and gave a small smile "Hallie you do not understand your potential in the next two years you will be medically certified and working in hospitals do you know how great that is ?" "Ya but what about my teenage life having friends going out ?" "Hallie what if we switch schools for you would that be better ?" My eyes widened and I said "Of course that would be awesome, thank you !" and with that I threw my arms around the detective quite tight but instead of cringing off he embraced it . "Now do you still want to go home or do you want this case ?" "I want the case you git."

                                                                         (Sherlock's P.O.V) 

  It took about 15 minutes to get Hallie suited up safely we got her a gun and tazer for good measure. We set out with me Lestrade and Hallie in one car and everyone else tailed behind "Hallie just so you know this is Sherlock's first possible armed crime scene as well." I watched Hallie's eyes grew wide and I flushed red from oh what do they call it "Embarrassment"? ya that's it. "Really Lestrade is that really true ?" she said looking between me and Lestrade "Yes Hallie it is true you were not supposed to know that." I said becoming annoyed but her smile melted that away. What is this Emotion ? Happiness ? I do not know but I kind of like it."  I returned her smile as we continued driving to the scene me stealing a look at Hallie every few minutes

  When we arrived my first instinct was keep Hallie as close as possible I was hunched over our three victims until, I got a tightening sensation in my spine and I barked out "He's still here spread out and search !" just as I pulled out my gun and stood I saw Hallie arming her's "Hallie no get in the car !" I ordered her "No you need me here without any police me and Greg are all you've got." She retorted and I had to admit she had a good point. "Fine but be careful back up is on it's way." And with that she rounded a corner and disappeared

    I went in a different direction for about twenty minutes until I bumped into Lestrade I signaled him to go to the left and me to the right I got about halfway down the hall when I heard gunshots fire. Panic flooded through me and I was silently hoping it was Hallie that she shot the criminal or Lestrade even but as I rounded I smacked right into Lestrade "Was that you ?" I practically yelled at him "No I bloody thought it was you Sherlock." "Okay you look that way I'll look upstairs." And with that I took off in a flash gun still at the ready.

    When I kicked open the last door on the left I immediately dropped the gun and rushed to my daughters side I saw the gunshot in her lower left stomach and saw blood practically gushing onto her shirt I quickly put pressure on it in which she screamed in pain and I shouted over her "Lestrade call 999!!!" he came rushing into the room and cursed before pulling out his phone and phoning the ambulance it took about fifteen minutes before the ambulance was here and when it came I stayed with Hallie the whole time never leaving her side. I only prayed we were not to late to save my baby girl. The ambulance ride was fast and we almost lost her as the ambulance rounded a sharp turn I could not help my panic as they rushed to save her. "Hallie come on were loosing you, stay with me."

                                                                             (John's P.O.V)

      It was a quiet day at the surgery until Sarah came rushing in saying "John we've got a gunshot wound riding in I need-" "Not my department Sarah." I said calmly "Were short hand's and it was not a question get ready and get out there not John !" I looked up from my paperwork Sarah never raised her voice, but instead of shooting something back I complied and got ready for the rushing in ambulance. I stood out in the cold waiting for 5 minutes before asking Sarah "So what is the situation riding in for us ?" "Don't know all I got was Girl, gunshot, lower left quadrant of the stomach."

       Just as she finished the ambulance rushed up and we sprung into action. As we were getting this poor girl out I noticed her face and froze. It was Hallie my baby girl had been shot. I did not let this delay me we quickly got her inside and rushed up to surgery. While I was sitting head in my hands trying to process this I felt a soft hand on my shoulder it was Sarah "Got someone here who rode in with her." I looked behind her and saw Sherlock "I will leave you two then." she said and then scurried off. "Look John I-" But I cut him off anger boiling up inside me but I remained calm on the outside before I sad "No Sherlock, No not this time." "John I-" "No Sherlock, no you promised me you would protect her and you broke that just don't." And with that I stormed away to go check on Hallie in surgery. Praying she was okay and not near death the words still echoed in my head "You Promised Me Sherlock." When I entered the surgery room I was not prepared with the sight that met me and for the first time in a long time I actually felt fear."Oh God why ?"
