Chapter 83 ~ I Actually Wore Color

  Brianna's POV

Dang it! I died again. I should pay for attention to those darn cars. I just died in my game and am in mega rage mode. I was about to beat my score of 11 points! I had 9! "Dang it!" I yell out, throwing my hands up in frustration. I've been working on he for the past fifteen minutes! I press restart after I gain my composure, but I am interrupted when someone yells, "Bri! Is that you?" I perk my head up from my slouched position to see an open-armed Emily running towards me for a huge hug. I stand up and hug her back. "Would it be really awkward if I said I wasn't the person you're looking for right now?" I ask, backing away from her warm embrace.

"Yeah," Emily says, "please tell me that you're Bri."

"Yeah, I am," I joke.

"Ok, thank goodness! That would be so embarrassing if I got the wrong person!" she states. "Wow, Bri, you look... Different?"

I look down at what I'm wearing. What I usually wear. My black T shirt, leather boots, jacket, and dark jeans. Oh yeah! I actually wore color when I met her. Well, black is a color but you get what I mean! "Oh!" I say a little to loudly. "Yeah, I didn't know if you wore color or not so just to make an impression I actually wore lively colors. But yeah," I gesture towards my outfit, "his is how I usually look."

"Ooh! Me likey!" she compliments. "Anyways, wanna hang out or something?"

"Sure! I have to meet my mom at the food court in half an hour though."

"Oh, that's fine!" she says. "I wanna say hi to her anyways. Cmon, let's do a quick shopping spree." She pulls my wrist gently and leads me out the store.

"Oh wait! My phone!" I loosen my grip from her hands to run back into the store to grab my phone from the chair that probably has an imprint of my gluteus from me sitting on it for so long. I grab it and trot back out. "Ok, ready." I straighten out my jacket and follow Emily to the next store.

~•~

"EEK! You should totally buy this, Janet!" I hear a tween say in the aisle across from us to her friend with her.

"Oh my god, like, this would look, like, so good!" Janet- I'm assuming says.

"Like, this is the best top, like, EVER! Actually, it's, like, so good that I think, like, I'm gonna go but it for myself." The girl takes the top off the hanger and runs to the check out like.

"Ugh! Jennifer! Get back here!" Oh, tweens. So over dramatic.

"Hey, Bri!" Emily calls from the next aisle.

"Yeah?" I call back.

"Pretty nice jacket I'm holding right?" She holds up a leather jacket on a hanger. Look at it! It's sleeves so perfectly designed, the way the zipper will move up and down, how the collar stays in the same place! It's perfect! "Yup, I see it," I say.

"This would look good on you, don't you think?"

"Uhh, I guess?"

"Here," she hands it to me.

"Thanks?"

"Actually, it's so nice that I think I'll buy it for myself. She smirks before grabbing the jacket off the hanger and running to the register.

"Emily!" I laugh and run after her. So mature, so mature.

Hey guys! Yay for the longer chapter, kinda, not really but hey, it's still a chapter. I'm trying to make them longer but I'm still having a writer's block. Minor, but it's still there.

Also I've been obsessed in learning new songs on my keyboard. Too many! I've learned two in the past week or so. Like a few Melanie Martinez songs but they only have the backup chords so :P Either I have to record it and reply it while playing the other part or I have to have someone sing the actual part cuz I can't sing for the life of me XD There's also a song I'm currently obsessed with for some reason called 2009 by Katherine and Eden. It's a Phan song and I like it even though I don't ship Phan. Probably just the melody or something. But yeah, learning that in the keyboard too :P See ya all in the next chapter!

Till then,
~Orchid
