Brianna's POV

I was fortunate enough to be paired up with Adelaide again the next day. Yay... This is the part where you slowly clap.

"Please watch your step," said Mr. Paisley. Our class is heading to the basement to look at some paintings that haven't made it into the museum yet.

"If you look over here, you'll see this beautiful painting made by a French artist," Mrs. Oct said, yet another worker in the museum.

Classes pass by quickly for some reason. It's time for lunch. "I don't like this," I pout and cross my arms once I sit down next to everyone.

"Wow, I can't believe I've lived to see the day that Bri, Brianna Myers, doesn't like school," Bailey announces.

"Yeah," Jack agrees.

"You stay out of this," I snap at him. He puts his hands up in defense. "Remind we why I can't snap off his head again?" I ask her.

  "Maybe after the Summer Dance," she replies, shifting in her spot on the stiff steps outside.

  "Whyyy? Because you want him to see you with that "friend" you were with at the beginning of school?" I tilt my head to the side.

  "No." She stares off into the distance.

  "Come on!" Jade says. "Just tell us already!"

  "Us?" she asks.

  "All of us." She sticks her pointer finger up and makes circles around our group.

  "I'm gonna talk to Bri in private," Bailey says, "Let's go over here." We walk to a part of the steps where no one is at.

  "So," I say, "What's the deal?"

  Bailey says, "Geez, Bri, you're making it sound like we're dealing drugs or something."

  "Stop stalling."

  "Ok, ok, fine." She stops

  "WELL?!"

  "I'MGOINGWITHJACKTOTHEDANCE!"

  "Speak slower all I heard was 'IDIWHSJSIWOSJJJ!'"

  "I'm going with Jack to the dance."

  "Aww new ship!" I squeal. "I'm still snapping his head off afterwards and feeding it to the ducks though."

  "Why ducks?"

  "They're cute." I give her a giddy grin. "But why him?"

  "I don't know ask him. He's the one who had the idea."

  "Aww!"

  "Shut up and don't tell anyone."

  I smirk and run back over to where everyone else is. "GUYS! NEW SHIP AT THE DOCK!"

  "Shut up, Bri!" I hear Bailey call after me.

  "Seriously?" Arsenic asks, perking up from her phone. I just let out a fangirl scream in return. "YESSS!"

  "Why does everyone make such a big deal outta this?" Bailey asks once she sits down. "No one was like this with Jade and Shawn- excuse me, Javelin."

  "Well because they're just friends and we ship friends with friends. At least I do," I respond. I look over to Jade who looks like she's trying to avoid the topic.

  "Oh really," Bailey says. "Jade, why don't you tell them."

  "Nope. Nopeity nope nope. Shawn you do it," she replies.

  "Nope, Bri you tell them," he says.

  "I don't even know what it is!"

  "Ugh," Jade says, "fine. Shawn and I are going to the da-" I let out a fangirl scream. "Would you let my finish?! Ok. Shawn and I are going to the dance as a disguise. We're crashing the party like usual, but we need to look like normal people who came to enjoy the party to get in I guess."

  "I'm still counting that as going to the dance together normally anyways," I say. She sighs and rolls her eyes.
