Chapter 61 ~ Need To Have A Contract
Hey guys! So before you ask me about my choice of music, just listen to it. This came up on Pandora for some reason and I thought it was perfect for a chapter about Adelaide being... Well... Adelaide :) Please carry on.
Brianna's POV
"And that concludes the story of Michelangelo." A slow applaud of claps were heard among our class for Mr. Harsh, a worker in the museum. Despite his ironic name, Mr. Harsh isn't actually that strict or mean. In fact, he's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. Except for my first grade teacher, Mrs. Harold. She was the best.
"Lunch time everyone!" Mr. Paisley announces. We all rushed outside to eat our meals.
"So," I say once all my rebellious friends, and Bailey, Jack, and Collin, have sat down in one big group, "Who'd everyone get paired up with?" I was unfortunate enough to be paired up with Miranda, the one that was ranting about how Mr. Paisley pronounced her last name yesterday.
"I got Adelaide," said Shawn.
"I'm sorry for your loss of dignity," Chris says and puts a hand on his shoulder.
He shakes his hand off. "Don't touch my shoulder."
Chris bucks off and takes another bite of his sandwich. "I got Walter," he says with a mouth full of ham and cheese.
"Yeah! High five dude!" Walter shouts and raises his hand.
"Ye, no," he replies.
"You're seriously no fun."
"Thank you, I appreciate your compliment."
Walter rolls his eyes.
"Anyways," Shawn says, "Adelaide is in the ultimate I-am-too-cool-for-anyone-and-anyone-so-back-off mood today."
"This is gonna be fun..." I sigh and mutter.

"Alright everyone, break is over," Mr. Paisley says. "You may walk around the museum with your buddy now. The west hall is now open to see, so definitely head over there if you can." Miranda and Adelaide were talking the whole time even though they weren't partners. Adelaide had sunglasses on for some reason even though we were inside. She's one crazy person. We were walking past a painting when I turned around and asked Adelaide, "Don't you have somewhere to be?" and she replied, "Why are you talking to me?" and gave me a snobby face.
"Umm..." I lost my words. "Because I have the right to?" Man, Shawn was right about her. Speaking of which, where even is he?
Miranda interrupts. "You need to have a contract now." She holds up a piece of computer paper with scribbles we call Adelaide's messy handwriting.
"Why are you even wearing sunglasses? It's not even sunny outside, it's cloudy," I say.
She whispers something in Miranda's ear. "She said that they don't leave her head no matter what," Miranda states. Great, now she's a messenger.
"Why?"
Adelaide whispers something again. "Because she says it makes her looks absolutely positively- wait, what was it again, Adelaide?" She rolls her eyes and whispers to Miranda again. "Absolutely positively magnificently spontaneously miraculously stunning. Isn't that right Adelaide?"
"I'm the one who told I to say that, idiot!" she whispers a little too loudly.
"Excuse me, ladies." Mr. Paisley must've heard out "conversation" from the other side of the room. "That is not the right way to speak."
"I'm sorry for the interruption," Adelaide says while pushing Miranda closer to me, "Brianna, here, was just teaming up with Miranda against me." WHAT?!
"Oh, well I'm sorry for you Adelaide, but for you two," he glares at us, "are staying after classes instead of going back to your apartments. Think of it as, a field trip detention." Are you kidding me?
Hey guys! Sorry for the late upload. I've rushing to get this done cuz I've been really busy reading and stud and cuz I'm just plain lazy. See ya all in the next chapter!
Till then,
~Orchid
