Brianna's POV

  "We're all going on that field trip right?" I ask while sitting down at our lunch table. Everyone nods their heads. My loner table has officially been deemed the 'rebel table'. They know not to sit here. I can have a clear cut view of the popular table from here. The nerd table is over there. The geek table is next to the nerd table. We have the rebel table now. Plus there are the other tables for the people who don't have a "social group" I guess.

  "Hopefully we all get out in the same group," Heather says. "Maybe one of our parent's could chaperone. Then we can choose who is in our group."

  "Sure," Walter says, "But who's parent?"

  "Too bad Andrea had to leave this morning," Jade says, "She would've begged her mom or dad to chaperone."

  "Oh yeah!" Shawn says. "Remember that one time in first grade when we went to the pumpkin patch? She had a fit because her mom didn't chaperone for it."

  "Oh yeah!" Jade says and they both start laughing.

  "I could ask my brother if he could chaperone," I say. "He doesn't go back to New York until our summer break starts."

"Perfect!" Jade says. "You can ask your brother. If he says no then we'll have someone else do it."

  "Attention, Arcadia High students," the loudspeaker says out of no where. "We'd like to congratulate four of our senior year students for winning our county science fair!"

  "Oh great," Jade, Katelyn, Chris, and I mumble.

  "Winning second place, Katelyn Foxx and Christopher Douglas!"

  They receive a few claps, mainly from the lunch ladies.

  "Winning in first place was Brianna Myers and Jade Hughes!" There was no applaud. But Walter decides to break the silence by clapping as loud as he possible can.

  "Woo! I know those people!" He makes his hands in a funnel shape around his mouth so everyone can hear even better. He stands up on the table but Shawn pulls him back down by tugging on the hem of his shirt.

  "Don't stand up," Shawn says and continues to eat his lunch.

  "Congrats to our winners, and have a good rest of lunch. And remember, go go Flamingos!" The loudspeaker line cuts off leaving us all to talk again.

  "Well then," Jade says turning around in her seat to face us. "That was-"

  I cut her off. "Something. It sure was something."

  Hey guys! I know this is a shorter chapter, please dot hate me! I'll make it I'll you soon, I promise, with a really long chapter (hopefully). We'll just have to wait and see how things work out. See ya all in the next chapter!
