Brianna's POV

My phone goes off at about 2 in the morning. I slowly open my eyes and reach over to my nightstand where my phone is. I pick it up and check who wanted my attention this early in the morning.

Jade_Don'[email protected]: Meet me at my house in an hour. Andrea's visiting from Nevada.

What? Already? It's been like a week!

[email protected]: How come she's back so early?

Jade_Don'[email protected]: The people who bought their old house didn't want it anymore. They need to sign paperwork and stuff to sell it again. The old owners didn't stay in it long enough for it to be officially their's.

[email protected]: Ohhhhhh. I'll be there as soon as I can

Bri went offline.

After changing our of my pajamas, I walk over to Jade's house. My street isn't very light since we only have a few street lights. It's kind of spooky in a way. I managed to sneak out of the house without Will noticing, aka bribing him with 20 bucks to jot tell mom when she gets home. Mom was working a night shift again, and won't be back till morning. Plus, dad is still in Los Angeles for his business meetings. It was extended a few more days.

  When I get to Jade's house, the whole group- including Andrea- are outside.

  "Bri!" Andrea runs up to me letting her brown curls bounce up and down and gives me a big hug. "I expect details of what I missed when I was gone."

  "And I expect details about Nevada," I reply. "I've never been there before."

  "Maybe you guys can come visit me sometime!" Andrea jumps up and down.

  "Maybe," I say, "Just maybe."

  We all talk in Jade's room till about 8:00 am. "I should get home," I say. "When are you leaving to go back to Nevada, Andrea?"

  "Monday," she says, looking up from her phone.

  "Maybe you can join us at the science fair tomorrow."

  "Sure! I'll tell me parents about that and get back to you. See ya!"

  I wave bye to everyone and walk out of the room.

  I approach my house and see Bailey's car in the drive way. Why is she here? I unlock the front door and Bailey and mom are talking on the couch. "Oh, Bri," my mom says looking towards me, "Bailey, here, wanted to talk to you. I'll leave you two here. I'm going to go bake some cookies." Mom stood up and walked to the kitchen.

  I walk over to where my mom was sitting before. I sit down and say, "So, why are you here?"

  "What? A girl can't visit her best friend anymore?"

  "You don't get it do you?" I say grabbing a pillow from next to me and resting my head on it, "You're not my best friend anymore. Ever since you joined the populars. You had one job, Bailey! Which was to never ever ever join -in any circumstances- the popular group. And... Well..."

  Bailey just stares at me, clueless of what to say.

  "WELL?!?"

  "I'm sorry, ok!? I was stupid. You were right. I was going to crawl up to them and beg to join them. I made a horrible mistake, and I'm sorry. Friends?" She actually sounded sincere for once. I mean, second chances anyone?

  "Fine. But I still haven't 100% forgiven you."

  "Yes! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Bri!" She pulls me into a hug and I hug her back.

  "Cookies, anyone?" Mom comes from the kitchen with a tray of cookies. She placed the tray on the coffee table and walks away. "Careful," she says, "They're fresh out of the oven."
