  Brianna's POV

Detention is literally the worst thing ever. It's too quiet and evil though I'm a good girl and all, I still like my share of noisy places. Heck, I can be pretty noisy too.

  I just decided to get some homework done. This time, I won't forget my math homework. I get out my purple pencil case and place it on the desk. Next I get out my binders, and start on my homework. Math is considerably easy today.

1) If a is 3, b is 7, and c is 4, what does abc equal?

  Since math was so easy, I decided I would do it later. I look around the room and guess who I see? The rebels. They have their own little group. They aren't quite as known as the populars, but they are still pretty recognizable. They are usually at the back of the school so you rarely see them, but from what I hear they usually where black with black leather jackets or something like that. You can't trust everything Bailey says... Some even have strands of dyed hair.

  "Hey you," I hear someone say. I turn around and see someone from the rebel group. "Umm...h-hi," I say, already scared.

  "I hear you messed with Mr. Neil," she says.

  "Yeah," I say getting a little for confident. "He was being stupid."

  "Sounds normal. Hey, no one sticks up to Mr. Neil. Not even the populars or us."

  "Yeah, pretty dumb of me right?"

  The girl laughs, "Psh, seriously? You are so rebellious. My group was talking about you at lunch and we were wondering if you wanted to join us, Brianna."

  My jaw dropped. Me, Brianna Martha Myers, join the rebels of the school. Of course! But would this mess up my grades? If my parents found out, they would kill me! I think it's worth the risk though. "Okay," I say, "I'll join you."

  The girl grinned, "Sweet! Guys, we have ourselves a new recruit!" The rest of her group came over to where I was sitting and crowded around me. "So, Brianna, right?" a boy said to me. "Yes," I said back.

  "Alright!" the girl said, "Introduction time! I'm Jade, the guy you just talked to is Shawn, then we have Andrea, Walter, Heather, and Christopher-but we call him Chris." They all waved at me, and I waved shyly back.

"Loosen up, Anna," Jade said to me.

"Anna?"

"Yeah, that's your new nick name. Brianna sounds too formal."

"But all my friends call me Bri, though."

"We'll think about it, Anna," she says and goes back to original seat. The rest of her gang follow her. There I was left alone at my desk.

I felt a sharp corner hit my head. I looked behind me and saw a paper airplane on the floor. I picked it up and unfolded it.

Meet us at the back of the school after detention. We need to give you orientation.

I looked up from the note and saw the group staring at me. I smiled and they smiled back.

Hey guys! So this chapter is considerably shorter than my other chapters, but just bare with me! In fact, it's about 400 words less than usual, but that's okay. I couldn't think of any music to go with this chapter, but usually I like to listen to Pandora while reading or writing :3 see ya all in the next chapter!
