Brianna's POV

After school, I wait in the parking lot for Jade. I finally spot her car pulling up into a parking spot. She opens her window and waves her hand to tell me to come in. I open her door and say, "Hey." She says hi back and asks me to close the door. "Oh, yeah," I sit down and close the door.

"We've got some burger shopping our do," she says. We drive to out nearest McDonald's and Jade goes to the drive-thru. "One Big Mac," she says through the speaker.

Once we get our order, we stop by a few more burger joints, including In n Out, Burger King, and Wendy's. We end up at her house after about an hour of driving and ordering burgers. "We can leave them at my house until tomorrow. You can come back tomorrow and we can start the project. It's due Wednesday, so we should get started if we want to go to the water park on Saturday." She gives me a grin and stops the car. I give her the bags of burgers and she walks in to put them away in the fridge, I'm assuming. She comes back and she drives me to my house.

I open my eyes only to see the blinding light of the sun. Ouch. I need to wear sunglasses more often. Today was Friday, the day of Adelaide's party. I wonder if Jade has any plans for crashing it.

I've gotta get used to all these black clothes in my closet. It's like a void of darkness in here. Oh wait, that's what a closet is.

I woke up earlier than usual, so I actually sit down at the table to eat breakfast. I hear footsteps walking down from the stairs. I look up from my bowl of corn flakes to see Will slowly making his way down the stairs. "Morning, sleep head," I say to him. Will just grunts in return. "Did mom have a night shift last night?" I ask him, trying to start a conversation. He slowly nods his head. Sometimes it gets really annoying that mom has to work all those night shifts at the hospital. She rarely gets days off, rarely gets breaks, and worst of all, rarely gets to see us. My birthday is coming up, so dad is coming back from Jamaica to celebrate with us. Mom already got a day off then, so it'll be even better! Last year, mom had to work all day, so she didn't get to celebrate with us. Plus, dad was in Taiwan last year, and Will was in college. Basically it was just me, Bailey, Jack, and Collin.

I put my bowl of cereal in the sink after cleaning up my bowl. After getting ready to leave the house, I say bye to Will and walk out.

When I get to school, the group is talking with Katelyn- who I guess is part of the group now. Adelaide, however, was no where in sight. Thank GOD! She was probably at home planning her party or something.

"Hey guys," I say. They all say hi to me and Jade gives me a wave. She takes a sip of her coffee and goes back to talking with Katelyn. Life is back to being the same again.

I go to Jade's house after school so we can work on our project. I open the door to her bedroom and the whole group is there. "Wait," I say, "I thought we were going to work on the project?"

"Yeah," Jade says, "We will. But later we're going to crash Adelaide's party. She has an indoor pool. So.... You can guess what we're going to do with that."

"We going to push her in?" I ask.

"Psh," Jade says," No. We're pushing her boyfriend in."

"Gregory?"

"No. She hooked up with Jack again." Wow. Cliche, huh?

"Oh. Ok then," I say still in shock.

"Yeah, but that's not until later. Let's say, we do an hour's worth of work and then we'll get ready for the party."

"Ok," I say and place my bag on the floor to sit next to her.

We managed to get a good amount of work done in our time. We only had a few distractions, aka Chris poking Walter in the side about 13 times per minute.

"Ready to get ready?" Jade asks.

I nod my head.

"We meet back here in half an hour. I already picked out my clothes, so I can help you if you want, Bri."

"Sure," I say.

"Great! I'll bring my make-up bag too." She sounds just like Andrea. "Don't be late guys!" She warns and drags me out of her room and into her car.

When we get to my house, Will is on the couch watching tv. "Hey," he says.

"Not now," I reply, "I need something to wear."

"Ooook?" he questions still not taking his eyes off the tv.

I bring Jade upstairs and open my closet. "So," I say, "What should I wear?"

"That one's not bad," she points at the dress I wore to Jack's party. He wouldn't notice if I wore it again right? He's probably be too drunk to notice I'm even there. "Ok, sure," I say. I take it off the rack and try it on in the bathroom.

"Perfect. Time for your make-up!"

When Jade is finally done, I could tell she gets it from Andrea. I basically looked like how I did for the last party, but there was a little less make-up. "You look great!" She says and applied more hair spray.

"Right..."

"Let's go now. We'll have just enough time to drive back to my house. Come on, let's go!" She grabs my wrist and pulls me out of my room. I quickly grab my purse and extra money. I'm not sure how this is gonna work out...
