Chapter 1 ~ Life Is Always The Same
Couldn't think of a photo to put or music to play, so I just put a picture of Brianna's backpack 😜
Brianna's POV
"I now pronounce you, Brianna Myers, the president of the United States."
Everyone in the crowd went wild. Loud cheers erupted from the sea of people. I grinned cheek to cheek at my accomplishment. I took a look at the White House in front of me, my new home. I put my hand on the door handle and-
Beep beep beep! Beep beep beep!
I woke up in my bed with the alarm clock going off. Disappointed that was all a dream, I slapped my digital clock so it would shut up. I think I may have broke it...
I sat up and looked at myself in the mirror across the room. My brown hair in a tangled mess, and I swear I saw drool on the corner of my mouth. I set one foot out of bed and onto my plush rug, and soon enough, there I was standing in my room like a stone statue. Still and lifeless.
I unlocked my door and walked into the hall to get to the bathroom. In the hallway were all my report cards my parents framed up because they are just so proud of their precious baby.
Once I got to the bathroom, I pretty much started my daily routine. I got into the shower after de-clothing and let the warm water trickle down my body. If only life was this comforting all the time.
After getting refreshed, I wrapped my lavender towel around me and wrapped my hair up in a smaller towel. And then it hit me. I never picked an outfit for the day. I'd have to walk through the hallway to get back to my room, *gulp*.
I unlocked the bathroom door to see of anyone was in the hallway. "The coast is clear," I muttered to myself. I made a mad dash for my room, hoping my towels wouldn't come loose and fall off me. "What are you doing, Bri?"
I stopped on my footsteps. I turned around to see my brother, looking quite astonished at the sight of his younger sister in nothing but a towel. Creep.
"I..uh..you..clothes.." I stuttered.
"No need to explain, sis."
I let out a big breath I had been holding in. Will walked back to his room- my older brother's name is Will by the way- and I quickly ran to my room.
I decided to go with a simple white blouse, a pair of jeans, and a denim jacket. I put my tried my best to dry my hair. It didn't work very well. I put my hair up in a ponytail, but it didn't look very appealing with clumps of damp hair sticking together. "That'll do," I sighed.
I walked out of my room and down the stairs to get some breakfast. I saw a note on the kitchen countertop.
Had to go to work early. Cereal is on the top shelf. Have a good day at school. Sorry, Hun.
- Mom <3
"Ugh, not again," My mother is a doctor. She is always going out early on the morning or late at night to see patients. I grabbed my bowl of cereal and started eating. I didn't bother calling Will down to eat knowing he probably fell back asleep after the mishap in the hallway.
After finishing breakfast, I grabbed my backpack, the house keys, and some extra money in case I needed to bribe my friends into something. Hey! Don't look at me like that? Just because I have good grades doesn't mean I have a good way of convincing people! "I'm going to school now, Will!"
"Whatever," I heard him say from upstairs. Typical.
My school isn't very far from where I live, so I usually walk to school. If I'm lucky, my best friend Bailey sees me walking to school and asks if I need a lift. I'm usually never that lucky though.
As I walk onto the school grounds, I look around to see if I can spot any of my friends. Bailey is nowhere to be seen, my other best friend Jack isn't in the front of the school where he usually is- but he's probably making out with some chick in the cafeteria, and Collin is probably still at home sleeping. I know they sound like horrible people, especially for the good girl to be around, but trust me, I've known them forever. I think they are fine.
"Brianna!" I hear a feminine voice call my name. I turn around to see Adelaide Jenkins, aka the most popular girl in the school. She comes up to me almost everyday.
"Oh hey, Adelaide," I respond hesitantly.
"Brianna, I just wanted to tell you about how you dress." Here she goes again. "Your blouse, your blouse is so last season. Buh bye now!"
Of course she said that. It's completely normal. Everything that happens everyday is normal. Life is always the same for me. It's getting quite monotonous actually. But it's just how it was meant to be I guess.
Hey guys! Author's note time. I know this is a really long chapter, but bear with me please! I'm so sorry about deleting Wanted Suspect, but it just wasn't going anywhere. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter of my new book! I had a lot of fun writing it :3. See ya all in the next chapter!
Till then,
~Orchid
