olivia made sure to look both ways as she crossed the busy vancouver street. you'd be surprised with how many near-death experiences she's had, most of them happening while crossing the street.

the reason she was back in vancouver wasn't because she missed her hometown. sure, it was nice, but it wasn't as special as she told everyone it was. honestly, it was pretty boring.

she was back in vancouver for an audition, but she didn't know what for.

her agent told her to send a self-tape for a new tv show. she did as she was told, and didn't expect too much of it.

a few months later, she was told to meet the casting director in vancouver for a real life audition, but still, she had no idea what she was actually auditioning for.

it wasn't uncommon for her to audition for a random role. it happens all the time to actors. but for some reason this one felt different.

maybe it was because her career really seemed to be going well. she had multiple auditions, the babysitters club had just finished, and she had recently finished filming for her movie secret headquarters.

she couldn't help but smile as she thought about her recent projects. acting was her true passion and she was so grateful that she had parents that would help her pursue her dream.

she opened the door of a big building where she had auditioned before. her mom checked in, and they made it to the third floor of the building. they waited outside a room where they saw multiple girls. they all looked around olivia's age and had dark hair.

she got nervous as she always did before auditions. her mom took notice of this habit and always insisted on practicing olivia's lines with her just so they're 'fresh in her mind," as she would say.

olivia was always calmed by the time they called her in to audition.

she took a deep breath and put on a big smile, truly just hoping for the best.

"i'll do anything," olivia finished reading her lines. she put in as much emotion as possible, considering it was pretty hard to tell what the vibe of the scene was from such little dialogue. nevertheless, she did the best she could.

"okay. thank you so much, olivia. we'll keep in touch." the casting director smiled at her.

she thanked everyone, and left, a smile on her face.

when you've been to so many auditions, it's easy to tell when you should get your hopes up.

for example, if they say they'll keep in touch, such as they just did, you have a chance of getting a callback or even the role. but, if they just thank you, or they give you an excessive amount of notes, the chances of getting the role are slim to none.

she had high hopes for the role, leaving her in a good mood. she was in an even better mood though when her mom took her out for food.
