** 3rd person's POV

The Swan residence was silent as three men stood anxiously in the living room. The tense atmosphere was enough to suffocate a few people as Chief Swan glared occasionally at Edward Cullen, along with Sam. 

Edward's face brightened as Bella carefully came down in her blue dress and a brace covering a leg. Charlie's face became confusing as he felt proud that his daughter has grew up so quickly, and annoyed that her date was a boy who made her leg snap in two. 

Meanwhile Sam didn't even glance at Bella and continued to stare at the staircase fiddling with his sleeve. Few hours ago he got a message saying that she might take some time over her make up and he would have to wait a bit, but now that Bella came down he was getting more and more restless. 

He was just about to rip a part of his sleeve with his inhuman strength when sharp tapping of stiletto heels sounded. 

Elinya came down with one hand holding up her dress to keep her from tripping over. Sam stared at her with his mouth slightly open. He kept gaping until she giggled and shook him to wake him up.

"Sam?"

"...You look beautiful, Linya."

Charlie came over and gave her a hug. 

"You erased all your make up except your lips?"

"I did leave some on my eyes too, Dad. But apart from those two, yeah I erased them all. Cosmetics are not really made for people who have 'paper-white' skin."

Instead of make up she worked hours on her hair, trying different styles. Her white hair was put in intricate braids and curls and was decorated with jeweled hair pins.

Her black dress was a deep contrast to her white skin but it somehow made her look dangerously gorgeous.

After Charlie told both of them not to go 'overboard' they got in the car to go to prom. They had great time dancing and chatting, but they had to stay outside most of the time because Sam had some trouble with vampires' sickening scent. 

They were dancing slowly in each other's arm when Sam kissed her forehead.

"Linya?"

"Hmm?"

"Move in with me?"

Elinya froze and Sam was afraid that he spoke of it too soon. His fear disappeared when she smiled and kissed his cheek.

"You have to convince Dad."

"...I'll try my best."
