Halloween terror
magine- Halloween night and pitch scares his daughter a little too much
Halloween... tis the fall season, best day of the year. Why?
Um. HELLO! Pumpkins, ghosts, kids trick or treating, witches, black cats, blood, gore(if you're into that kind of stuff) and All things spooky and creepy.
And it was shadows favorite holiday. Shadow is the beloved daughter of pitch black, the king of nightmares or better known as the boogey man. He lives off of peoples fears. He used to hate the guardians, with all his black heart had to offer.
But, his daughter was dating Jack Frost, the sweetest, funniest, goofiest guardian the world had ever known. And he loved shadow with every ounce of his being. About 2 years ago, the guardians and pitch had gotten into an awful battle... and it almost cost shadows life. The guardians and pitch were so afraid of losing shadow that the guardians and pitch, surprisingly enough, would TRY and get along.
Plus, shadow told them that they had to try and be civil, otherwise she would be heartbroken.
Anyways, back to Halloween.
Shadow loved Halloween. Now, she didn't really like blood, guts and gore, none of that stuff. And, she absolutely despised spiders. She had a very weak stomach, despite being the daughter of the boogeyman himself.
Right now, she was laying down in bed, reading a book, wearing an orange blouse and black leggings with black socks. Her long blonde hair was curled over her shoulder and she was softly humming to herself.
All of a sudden, her room went dark and her heart started racing. She knew her father was planning to scare her at some point. He was even bragging about it months before, saying he was going to get her good.
"Daddy? You know I hate the darkness, d-despite being your daughter" she said as she closed her book, trying to make her eyes adjust to the darkness. She could hear her father chuckling darkly, and then all of a sudden, she felt something crawling up her back.
She gasped and froze, immediately realizing that some form of a spider was crawling up her body. And because it was dark, she couldn't tell if it was real or if pitch was making her imagine It.
"D-daddy, please get this spider off me!!" She cried out, still not moving. Inside, she was freaking out, begging her father to not further scare her.
The lights came to a dim and the sight was seriously disturbing. Dark red Blood on the walls, along with what seemed to be disgusting spiders crawling all around. Also, there seemed to be a dead body, it's body horrifyingly mutilated, eyes gone, it's jaw disfigured and it's stomach cut open, revealing disgusting organs.
All the color drained from her face, her lips turning grey as her breath trembled, her eyes scanning the room. And pitch was nowhere to be found.
Her eyes fluttered as her body fell forward, but she didn't make contact. She was quickly caught by a worried pitch, one arm wrapping around her shoulders, the other one under her knees. She was on his lap, the back of her head resting on his arm.
This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Shadow? Honey, can you hear me?" He asked worriedly as he gently shook her, but she did not stir. Her face was incredibly pale, a bead of sweat covering her forehead.
He flicked his wrist and in one moment, everything vanished. The spiders, the blood on the walls, the body, everything. He had made her imagine it and even though he did a pretty damn good job, the outcome was not what he wanted, nor expected.
Even though he was the boogeyman, he knew shadow and what her limits were. He should have known better.
About a minute later, shadows head moved slightly, a soft groan escaped her lips. Then a whimper followed and pitch placed a hand on her cheek.
"Shadow, baby, it's gone. It's not real." He said worriedly as he moved her hair out of her face. Her eyes fluttered open and once they adjusted, they scanned the room and she realized that everything she had seen before she passed out, was indeed gone.
Then her golden eyes locked on her fathers and hers started watering. Pitch's heart broke when he saw her getting ready to cry and hushed her softly.
"Oh, don't cry, my love..." he pulled her into his arms and she immediately buried her face in his neck, letting the tears fall.
Normally, if it was any other kid or adult, he wouldn't care. But this was his daughter, his pride and joy. The moment she was born, he had vowed to protect her, to make her feel loved and safe. And he knew that shadow was a very strong, brave girl. But everybody has their limits, their weaknesses, what pushes them over the edge.
He felt so guilty.
"Sssh, my sweet girl, it's okay. I'm so so sorry..." he whispered into her ear as one hand gently cradled the back of her head, the other rubbing small and gentle circles on her back.
"I made you imagine it. I thought you could handle it. I'm so sorry." He said, feeling his heart twist as he listened to her cry.
Shadow sniffled as she shook in his embrace. "W-why did you d-do t-that?" She choked on her tears as she slightly pulled her head away so she could look at him.
Pitched let out a sad sigh as he gently combed his fingers through her hair. "I thought you could handle it... I mean... I- I'm the boogeyman... but I was so wrapped up in wanting to scare you that I really didn't think about limits. I never used to and since you're my daughter... I'm so sorry... you're my brave girl and watching you faint and I had to catch you..."
Now he was the one starting to get choked up. The thought of losing his Daughter for any reason, it scared the crap out of him.
"Seeing you unconscious in my arms, especially with what happened two years ago, my biggest fear is losing you. Always has and always will be"
Shadow sniffled again as she looked into her fathers golden eyes. She knew her father would have laughed if it was any other kid or adult. But she adored how protective and sweet he was to her. She knew with her, he had no malicious intent. But sometimes, fear and power gets in the way.
"I-I understand. T-that was a very scary moment for all of us. B-but I was okay then and I'm okay now. I-I just can't handle that kind of stuff."
He helped her sit down on the bed, kneeling down in front of her and gently cupped her face in his hands.
"You are my strong, brave girl but unless you say otherwise, I will never push your limits again, I promise you that." He said softly. Shadow didn't say anything. She just proceeded to hug him , burying her face in his neck.
"I know you had no malicious intent papa... j-just please be careful..." she said softly and he kissed her cheek
"From now on, I will be careful, my little Jack o lantern."
Shadow smiled softly and started waving her hand around. In the corner, black sand formed a Jack o lantern and with a snap of her fingers, it lit up and up above in black sand, it said "I love you daddy."
Pitch glanced over at the Jack o lantern and the writing above, a soft smile forming on his face.
"I love you too, my little moon." He said as he continued to hug her. He would always protect his little girl.
"And happy Halloween, daddy."
Not the greatest, but just a little idea I had. If you have any fluffy ideas, just let me know. I know pitch isn't the fluffiest character but I like making him fluffy 😂❤️
