Day 4: December 15th

Shit! I'm late! I get ready in a rush and take a sip of Ribena before running to the bike and starting it, I put on my helmet -on top of the beanie I'm wearing- and ride off to school.

I stop on a red light and check the time. 7:46. Good, that means I'll get there on time, I smile at the thought of not being late for once and start riding again.

I don't have the license, but a couple of years ago, Jean taught us all how to ride and not die so I'm kinda not terrible at it.

I take a turn and get hit by a black car, I fall off the bike and the guy driving gets out of the car and comes to me, frowning.

I glare at him "what is wrong with you? You had a stop!" He helps me lift the bike again and I realize that the bike is not usable, I sigh and turn to him, who is looking at me questioningly "I obviously can't use it like this... You'll have to take me" I say, his frown deepens.

"Can't, I'm already late" he simply says, starting to walk back to the driver's side to leave.

I glare at him "what?" I say in disbelief, he walks back to me "you want me to call the police, the ambulance, the firemen? We'd see at what time you get there then" he rolls his eyes "come on, hurry up" I say, getting in the car, he gets in the car and starts driving "I'm Eren" I look at him and he glances at me.

"Levi Ackerman" Ackerman? Wow what a coincidence, just like Mikasa!

"Wait, it's this way!" I take the steering wheel and take a turn.

"What are you doing? This is an emergency lane!" He sounds pissed... Oops.

"Don't worry, my friends take it all the time" I state, he sighs and we drive past a police officer... Oops... Again. Levi starts complaining about how he got a fine because of me, I roll down the window and take my head out "you moron!" I shout.

He pulls me back in as I giggle "what do you think you're doing?!" He hisses.

"Sorry, I just hate the traffic wardens, I can't stand them" we drive for a couple more minutes and we get to the highschool, I get out of the car and he stops me "if there's any trouble, call" he says handing me a card

"Captain Levi Ackerman... Is that a high rank?" I ask looking at the card.

"I guess... Yeah"

I nod "I knew I could report you properly" I say before shutting the door and running inside the school.

I smile, a 7/10 in a philosophy, I walk to the teacher's room, it's always empty so it's fine, I see Armin and Erwin talking next to the room, I thought Armin wasn't coming today "hey Armin!" I call getting closer to them.

They turn to me and Armin smiles "Eren!" He then turns to Erwin "Erwin, this is Eren"

"Oh, so this is the guy who gets in trouble to protect you?" Armin nods and Erwin turns to me "well, you've been doing a great job" I smile and walk inside the teacher's room, locking the door behind me and dialling a number on my phone.

"Hey Levi, what's up? I got a 7!" I say cheerfully when he picks up the phone.

"A 7? Wait, who are you?" He asks slightly confused, I hear people talking in the background.

"It's Eren!"

"Eren?"

"The guy you almost killed this morning" I clarify.

"Oh... Hey, uh- I can't talk right now" he says.

"The mechanic came by, he took the bike to repair it" the door handle goes up and down and I sigh "I gotta go, I'll see you after school"

"No, wait Eren, I-" I hang up and get out of the room, encountering the headmaster.

"Jaeger, what were you doing in there?" He asks, I chuckle as if it's obvious.

"I was trying to study but you interrupted me" he glares at me and I walk to the theater to prepare more stuff, I only have 10 days left to prepare the whole thing, I start working and after what seems like minutes, Jean, Mikasa, and Armin walk in.

"Hey Eren, what happened this morning?" Jean asks, he's also here? Did they all lie?

"I got hit by a dick on my way here, sorry" the three of them chuckle and I take a moment to process what I just said "Wait- I didn't- ugh! Guys! A car hit me and you're laughing at the way I said it? That's what I call friendship" I check the time and see it's 6:45pm, I walk to them and the four of us leave, I should've left almost an hour ago. Is Levi going to still be here?

We walk outside and I see a black car waiting outside, I smile and run to it "wait, Eren! Where are you going?" Mikasa calls after me, but not bothering to follow.

"I'll tell you later!" I get in the car and Levi is there, I want to know him so I try my best to find out more about him "the bike isn't ready yet..." I start.

"What? Why did I come, then?" He asks angrily.

"Hey, you break the bike and now you're surprised? I want to know you" I plead.

"No" he simply says.

"You almost kill me this morning and you haven't treated me to anything!" I whine.

"No"

I sigh and give him the directions to my house. No other words are shared.
