As far as the eye could see, those were the only colors. Not a flash of blue or green.

Must breathe into sweater. Can't let the smoke in.

I'm scared...

So scared....

Someone.... help... my parents have to be somewhere. Someone has to be alive. But why is this fire here? Why am I not dead? Why.... why is it freezing over?

The fire is whisking away. Ice. Snow. Why? I turn to see a small figure, looking over to me. She seemed nervous, but gently approached me.

"Your alive. Good. Your the first survivor I found." Her words shook me to the very bone. Either that, or the fact that its fall, and snowing in fall makes me confused, making it even colder.

"My parents... are they alright? Do you know?  I want to see my family..."

The small figure was... SOMEWHAT human. It had a light blue cloak, and dark blue hair. It had piercing blue eyes as well.

"I don't know.... but... if you want, I could give you a family!" An object formulated in her hands. A watch. I think?

It was that day, that fire, that person, who changed my life forever.
