• I Will Help You •

"I'm heading back to the city." Artemis announced to Poe the next morning. "Alone?" He asked rather stunned. She nodded. "I just have this feeling that I need to be there today. Alone." Dimitri looked up upon hearing her voice. "Artemis have you lost your mind?" He asked. "You know how badly the First Order wants you dead! They have a bounty on your head larger then the Death Star!" He added. "He's right." Poe added. "You cannot go alone, it's too dangerous." Artemis pretended not to listen, "I am the leader of this group and I am going to do what I think is right, regardless if you think it is right or not." Poe scoffed. "So you're just gonna throw yourself into danger without back up?" "Yes." Artemis said flatly. Poe rolled his eyes. "I really thought you would be a good leader to these people but it turns out you are just a headstrong, arrogant princess who won't listen to anyone else." "Right, and who leads your 'oh so wonderful' Resistance?" Artemis countered without even missing a beat. Poe didn't respond, he just stared down at the girl. "Another headstrong and arrogant princess who won't listen to anyone else. I suggest you start trusting me, Poe instead of being a hypocrite." Artemis hissed as she grabbed her bow and slipped her quiver around her waist. "I will see you later. And listen to me when I tell you," She said with a stern tone. "Don not come after me. I am on a private mission. You are all to stay here and guard the camp in my absence." She commanded. She finally gave them a firm nod and left, trotting off in the direction of the city on her solo mission. "You're gonna go after her, aren't you?" Dimitri asked Poe as they watched her go. "Absolutely."
"He still won't let you leave, will he?" Hux asked Amphitrite. He had noticed her wondering the halls of the Finalizer after He was dismissed from Snoke's meeting. "General?" Amphitrite said as she turned to face him. "Kylo still isn't allowing you to leave, is he?" He repeated his question and her face fell. "You know about that?" She asked, her voice small and meak. "Everyone in high ranks of the first order knows." She sighed as her eyes looked down at the floor. "Amphitrite, I have seen how he treats you." Hux said, stepping over to her. "And I can promise you, I know abuse when I see it." "Abuse?" Amphrite suddenly looked up, ocean blue eyes wide with worry and curiosity. "Oh! Oh no! Kylo doesn't abuse me, he's just trying to keep me safe." She said with a small reassuring fake smile. "So is that what you call him nearly killing you with the force just to prove dominance? Is that what you call him keeping you prisoner on this ship for no good reason? Is that what you call him lying to you about everything that the First Order stands for?" Amphitrite's eyebrows furrowed. "Lying?" She echoed his words. "What do you remember about your home? About your childhood?" Hux asked, suddenly flipping the conversation. "I have a few memories..." Amphrite replied as her expression twisted to one lost in thought as she tried to recall the few memories she had of her home. "I remember... White walls. Large white walls that were built to keep me safe... I remember a lack of stars in the night time sky... and I remember a pair of the kindest and softest blue eyes I have ever seen. They were a deep shade of blue, not like mine, but something about them just makes me feel so warm and safe." "Do you get that feeling here?" Hux asked, his questions kept striking her so off guard. "I well-" "do you feel safe here? Does this place feel like your home?" Amphitrite sighed. "I... suppose not." Hux bit his lip and sighed. He knew if Ren ever found out about this he would be a dead man, but so be it. Amphitrite had only ever shown him kindness and it was time he returned the gesture. "Do you want to go outside?" He asked, this time his voice was low. "I would love to, but kylo-" "don't worry about him. If you want to go outside I will help you. But you have to come with me first."
