snowpaw sat at the entrance to the medicine cat den as blackkit and firekit got their apprentice names.

"firekit, i know you will train well and the best you can to become a warrior of pineclan, until you have earned your warrior name will be known as firepaw, your mentor will be stormpelt" thunderstar looked doubtful for a brief second but went back to his orginal face "stormpelt, this will be your first apprentice scene whisperfoot died, i hope you will not forget that firepaw is like your kit, you must discipline him in the ways of the warrior code" he looked at blackkit and blinked "blackkit, you will now be known as blackpaw, your mentor foxtrot" he looked at the senior warrior "this is your third apprentice i hope you make him great warrior just like whiteblaze and oakshine" he smiled and the two toms padded up to the their new mentors and touched noses with them,

she felt hot under pelt and decided to go get a drink. "hey firepaw, blackpaw come here!" she flicked her tail for the toms to come to the entrance of camp where she had moved to. "what is it?" firepaw asked happy to help "yeah" blackpaw shyly mewed "i was wondering if you two could come and get a drink with me?" she smiled "yeah i could use some water" firepaw nodded "what about you blackpaw" he meowed dully "um, okay" he replied "great" firepaw rolled his eyes and padded up to snowpaws side purring.

"what do you think my warrior name would be?" he meowed like he really wanted her opinion "i might think it would be fireblaze, or firefoot" she replied really not knowing what all the excitement was about "i think your medicine cat name would be snowcrown" blackpaw bugged in "that's stupid why would she want that name" he sneered "i like it" she smiled "and i think your warrior name would be blackpelt" she purred and slowed her pace to match blackpaws.

"here's the river" she announced and padded to the bamk and bent down to get a drink "snowpaw can i talk to you" firepaw glared at blackpaw "alone" she looked up her whiskers dripping with water "sure, we can talk in the clearing over there" she flicked her tail to a small clearing in the over hanged with vines and branch's, he nodded and padded towards it with snowpaw at his heels. Once they were both in the clearing firepaw turned around "don't you think blackpaw is annoying, we should ditch him" he snapped, snowpaw looked shocked "why would we do that he is not annoying he's just shy" firepaw snorted "please he's stupid, i bet i'll be made a warrior way before him and he won't get a mate when he finally becomes a warrior" he sneered "shut up! he will become a warrior and he will get a mate, that will love him!" she spat in his face "now if you'll excuse me" she snorted and padded back to the river to talk to blackpaw.

"he said what, no he couldn't, he wouldn't firepaws my bestfriend"he mewed confused "believe me he said that to my face" she retorted as they padded back to camp.
