Prologue

Our story begins with the book of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opening its pages and then the narrator begins to speak.

Narrator: Once upon a time, there lived a lovely little princess named Wendy White. Her vain and wicked stepmother, Queen Nehelenia feared that someday, Wendy White's beauty would surpass her own. So she dressed the little princess in rags and forced her to work as a scullery maid. Each day, the vain Queen consulted her magic mirror. "Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"...and as long as the mirror answered, "You are the fairest one of all," Wendy White was safe from the Queen's cruel jealousy.

The scene then changes to the Queen's castle

As the we get closer to the castle, we enter the Queen's chamber with the mirror. Queen Nehelenia comes to consult the mirror.

Queen Nehelenia: Slave in the magic mirror, come from the farthest space. Through wind and darkness, I summon the. Speak! Let me see thy face.

As she calls out to the mirror, a thunderclap sounds, and a wildfire consumes her reflection

The fire subsides, revealing the face of the mirror's spirit, eagerly but patiently awaiting whatever questions his mistress may have)

Magic Mirror: What wouldst thou know, my Queen?

Queen Nehelenia: Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?

Magic Mirror: Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold, a lovely maid I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is more fair than thee.

Queen Nehelenia: (Angrily) Alas for her! Reveal her name!

Magic Mirror: eyes brown as the earth. Hair blue as cobalt. Skin white as snow.

Queen Nehelenia silently gasps to herself, as her worst fears of her stepdaughter's beauty exceeding her own have eventually come to pass.

Queen Nehelenia: Wendy White!
