Eira was born without a mother, her father loved Eira with all of his heart but that didn't stop the grief from almost consuming him alive.

When Eira was 5 years old, her father met another woman, who was beautiful, but she was never as beautiful as Eira's mother had been, and at first, it seemed like she adored Eira as much as the kingdom did, but she did not.
