From Jangsan Station, Jimin and Jungkook finally reached Cheongsapo. In Cheongsapo, there were a few coffee bars and restaurants and the walkway out into the sea. Thanks to Jimin's whining, they made a stop at the Cafe Alice Donut. The big pink colored donut at the rooftop stood out prominently, catching attention of all the passerby.
Walking inside the quirky and vibrant-colored place, Jimin hopped towards the chairs laid near the stone wall and giggled in joy. A blue and yellow colored umbrella sheltered their chairs, the stone-like floor resounding their footsteps. Across the shrubs, the wall had a frosting-like pattern splayed over it, and a pink colored donut rested against it. With a sky blue font, the words 'Alice Donut' sat atop the baby pink base. Trailing behind came Jungkook who pulled a chair out for his husband to sit, before sitting down himself.
"Which one are you having?" Jimin asked, burying his button nose in the menu card.
"Haeundae donut," the younger replied before looking up from the menu and smiling at Jimin's furrowed eyebrows, as he scanned through the menu. "And you?"
Whipping his head up, Jimin grinned. "Vanilla Custard!"
Of course, Jungkook thought to himself with a chuckle. Jimin always had the biggest sweet tooth. Shaking his head in fond amusement, Jungkook got up to order their donuts. Jimin's puppy-like eyes wandered, taking in the peaceful aura of the place. When the blonde returned, they sat together, happily devouring their treats as the sun dipped lower in the sky, painting everything in soft hues of gold and pink. Between bites, they reminisced about their memories from the past five years as their laughter blended into the soft evening breeze.
❄️❄️❄️
It was currently 6 P.M. as the two husbands strolled through the quiet local area, their fingers occasionally brushing against each other as they walked. The air was crisp, carrying the distant scent of the ocean mixed with the earthy aroma of pine trees. The sun had begun its descent, casting a golden hue over the buildings and the narrow roads.
As they walked through the dense forest, sounds of waves splashing fell upon their ears. The sound of the breaking waves blended with the rhythmic sound of black pebbles rolling about. After climbing down relatively steep stairs, they got to finally walk on the pebble beach, having pebbles of varying colors and sizes. Two lighthouses—white and red—were on their left, the outlines of the mountains visible faraway to their right.
An excited giggle left Jimin's lips as he ran along the shoreline, Jungkook chasing behind him. Giggling, the younger watched the ravenette with fondness, slightly slower in his pace to admire his husband before him. Stopping in his tracks, a pebble caught the younger's eye, and he bent down to pick it up. It was an oval-shaped piece with a white base and streaks of black forming on it, as if someone had splashed black paint on a clean canvas.
While he rolled the pebble in between his fingers, Jungkook's doe eyes made their way to where Jimin was crouching down and placing his palm over the water surface, not running anymore. The ravenette shivered slightly at the initial chill of the ocean against his skin, but his smile never wavered. Instead, he pushed his hand deeper, watching as the gentle waves lapped over his fingers.
Unknowingly, a smile had also made its way on Jungkook's lips as he looked at his husband with very obvious heart-eyes. He picked the pebble up and slung the bag pack in which they had put their food in, making his way towards Jimin. Jungkook couldn't help but smile too. Jimin had lived most of his life in the foothills of the mountains, far from the ocean. Yet every time they visited the beach, it was as if he were seeing it for the first time.
"My love," Jungkook called out in a soft voice, careful not to startle Jimin with his sudden presence.
Whipping his head up, Jimin looked at the blonde while his plump lips tipped up in a smile. Jimin offered his hand to Jungkook, silently asking the younger to sit beside him. It's safe to say Jungkook did such, the pebble still tucked carefully in his left palm.
"It's been so long, huh?" the older mused beside him.
Jungkook hummed while placing his palm underwater like Jimin. "Still a lot less than the time I wanna spend with you."
"Not even close to it?" Jimin turned his head to glance at the blonde slightly.
"Not at all."
They both sat in silence before Jungkook spoke up. "You know... When I first met you, I didn't have any clue that we would end up getting married," he chuckled and continued, "It still seems so unreal. You and me."
Jimin hummed before snorting. "Well, I thought you were an asshole the first time I met you. No offense."
"None taken, love."
"But after one year of dating, when you finally let your guard down?" Jimin mused, his voice dipping into something softer, more intimate. He shook his head, smiling to himself. "It took time, but it was worth every second."
Jungkook's grip on the stone in his hand tightened slightly. He turned to look at Jimin, taking in the way the older's eyes reflected the dying sunlight, the way his button nose crinkled ever so slightly whenever he smiled and the way his eyes turned to half moons when he grinned. The younger exhaled through his nose, his free hand reaching over to tangle their fingers together.
"I'd do it all over again, you know."
Jimin glanced at their intertwined hands before looking up at Jungkook as he rose up to his tip-toes and pressed a kiss to the taller's nose. "Me too," he whispered.
Nuzzling his nose against Jimin's, Jungkook chuckled breathlessly. The ravenette's heartbeat seemed to match the pace of Jungkook's, the sound echoing among the small gap between their bodies. Just as the blonde opened his mouth to speak, a squeal left Jimin's lips. Startled, Jungkook blinked. But before he could ask, he felt it too.
Tiny white flakes drifted down from the sky, landing on Jimin's dark hair, making it seem like scattered stars on the night sky. Both the husbands looked down at each other at the same time, their expression full of awe and wonder.
It was snowing. On the beach.

Author's Note: Woo hoo! One more chapter to go! I know it's rare for it to snow in Busan in general, and snow on a beach? That is even more rare. But that is what makes this moment so special. Something so unknown and beautiful, and it feels nice to portray that.
Thoughts till now?
Thank you so much for reading! Please make sure to vote for the chapter if you enjoyed it, and I'll see you in the next update!
