"We're gonna be so late!"

Jimin's high voice boomed throughout the apartment as Jungkook scrambled to the kitchen, almost tripping over his own leg. He set the eggs down on the black marble counter and coughed at the smell of something burning. Well, Jimin was cooking, something was bound to burn.

Dashing around the other side of the open kitchen, Jungkook sniffed to check where the smell was coming from. Jungkook's eyebrows shot up when he saw that the fish cakes were burning dry on the pan. He hurriedly picked up a spatula and placed the cakes on a clean plate as almost fell face first because of his speed-run.

Seeing Jungkook's panicked state, Jimin put the knife and carrots down started panicking as well and rushed towards the blonde to peek over his shoulder and see what misfit had happened. He gasped when he saw the now-black fish cakes and let out a loud sigh.

"Cooking is just not my thing, is it?" he said, his chin on Jungkook's shoulder, his voice directly reaching the younger's ears who was too concentrated to focus on his husband's words.

"I physically cannot manage the ten thousand things you have to take care of while cooking, you know?" Jimin started his rant, "There's two dishes on the pan and then rice in the rice cooker and then you have to cut the vegetables while also flipping a fucking omelette and-"

"Jimin darling, I love you, but can you please shut up for a moment?"

"Okay, mean." Jimin pouted and made his way back to slicing the carrots.

After finally removing all the burnt skin off of the cakes, Jungkook turned around, his blonde hair falling over his doe eyes and obstructing the view of his beautiful and, well, pouty husband standing before him.

"What happened, love?" The younger said before wrapping his arms around Jimin's waist from behind and pulling him flush against his firm chest.

Jimin gasped in surprise before turning his head to make eye contact with Jungkook's brown orbs, which were looking at him innocently and pleadingly. "You wanted me to shut up, so now I'm quiet," Jimin muttered before rolling his eyes.

"Hmm, very quiet indeed."

It's safe to say that earned Jungkook an elbow to the stomach. The blonde chuckled before resting his chin on the older's shoulder like he was doing a few minutes back. Jimin could feel himself giving in, but he had to act like the drama queen he was.

"Shoo, I'm cutting the vegetables," Jimin said while waving his free hand to the side.

"Make me," Jungkook said teasingly while biting Jimin's earlobe. That caused goosebumps to erupt on the older's skin, both of them perfectly aware that it was so not a result of the cold weather outside.

Glaring, Jimin turned around in the younger's arms while Jungkook smiled down at him, his bunny teeth on display. The ravenette sighed before wrapping his arms around the younger's neck and pressing a kiss to his forehead by rising on his tiptoes.

"The fish cakes are edible now," Jungkook whispered, his face inching closer to Jimin's.

The older merely hummed and tilted his head while leaning closer to the blonde. Jimin's plump lips pressed against Jungkook's soft ones and they both let out a content sigh at that. None of them realized when they started swaying lightly in each other's arms, but you don't see them complaining. When they parted, both of them had huge grins on their faces.

Jimin's deep brown eyes met Jungkook's as he said, "I'm sorry for them though." He motioned with his head towards the now-edible fish cakes. "I didn't realize they started burning and-"

"Shh, it's fine. You were making food for us, and that means a lot too, love," Jungkook said before kissing the older's forehead. "I'm gonna bring the rice by the time you're done with the vegetables, hm?"

"Alright."

Giving Jungkook a final Eskimo kiss, Jimin stepped back down and chopped rest of the carrots and cucumber. He then sliced the fried egg while Jungkook placed the rice on the gim.

By the time they were done with packing he food and water, it was almost 4 P.M. They were planning to reach the Cheongsapo Pebble Beach by 7 P.M., so they were technically on time with the preparations.

Swinging their bag packs on their shoulders, Jimin and Jungkook stepped out of the apartment while the younger locked the door. Jimin's black hair blew in the cold December wind, while he slipped his hands into the pockets of his beige coat. Shortly afterwards, Jungkook came behind him and wrapped an arm around his husband's waist while smiling down at him.

"Off to the beach we go."
