The plan to go to the beach—especially the one which was infamous for being for the romantics—was to celebrate Jimin and Jungkook's first wedding anniversary. Both of them were quite simplistic, and Jimin simply refused to just go to a restaurant, eat food and come back. He considered it too boring and bland. Plus, dates at home had been quite usual too now.

Hence, the beach.

Jungkook took matters of finding the place in his hands and decided on the Cheongsapo Pebble Beach. The beach had been unfamiliar even to the citizens of Busan, since it wasn't accessible earlier. After his whole research, Jungkook finalized their date on the said beach.

Packing up gimbap was a good idea, since there was a dense forest to cross to reach the beach. And eating gimbap there sounded like perfection to Jungkook, in case they got hungry on the way.

Locking their arms, Jimin and Jungkook made their way to the Jangsan Station and decided to take a taxi from there only.

The younger glanced at the older as his brown hair swept over his eyes because of the chilly wind. Jimin's cheeks were flushed pink, his plump lips glazed because of him licking them several times. Time seemed to slow down as Jungkook drank in the ravenette's beauty— who was too busy grinning at the funny shapes of the clouds.

Being with Jimin for five years now—excluding one year of marriage—Jungkook never felt the innocence leave him. There was something about Jimin which made him feel so safe and loved, and the way the older cherished the happiness of even the simplest of things made his heart burst with joy.

Jungkook never considered their love story an interesting one. It was quite mediocre in his opinion. The classic brother's best friend trope? Yeah, that was them.

Jimin was the best friend of Jungkook's brother—Kim Taehyung. Not a real brother, but a cousin. But, he never considered Taehyung not of his blood. According to him, both of them shared a bond that ran deeper than the logic of blood relations.

Meeting Jimin was like serendipity— he never realized how much love he had to give to one person until he met him. Taehyung was beyond overjoyed with the idea of their marriage and did most of the preparations by himself only. "I want to give my brother the best." were Taehyung's words when he announced to oversee all of the wedding preparations.

His mind was a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts before he realized that Jimin had stopped walking and was looking at him with a caring but curious look in his eyes. "What's wrong?" he asked while cradling the younger's face.

The blonde shook his head, a little of his blonde hair falling over his one eye.

"Baby," Jimin took a step closer as he spoke, "What's wrong?"

"I love you."

Jungkook said in a choked whisper. They both say that to each other many, many times a day, but something inside Jungkook screamed to tell Jimin that. His voice sounded desperate and heavy with emotion as he said those three words and looked into the older's eyes.

"I love you too." Jimin said before chuckling and pressing a kiss to Jungkook's cheek.

"Oh God, it's not time for me to be emo," Jungkook said in a whine and wiped a few tears which were forming in his eyes with the back of his hand. "We're supposed to be all flowery and rainbows today."

And that pulled a laugh out of Jimin; having Jungkook to hold him by the waist to make sure he doesn't laugh into the boy walking past them. The same kid looked at them with a curious glint in his eyes, though Jungkook wasn't sure if it was curiosity or the child judging their weirdness.

"You're so adorable," Jimin said while wiping his tears from his laughter session.

Jungkook's lips jutted out in a pout as he frowned, still holding Jimin in his arms. "And?"

"And I love you, you big baby," Jimin said before bursting into another round of laughter while a few people walking past them smiled at the pair of husbands laughing without seeming to have a care in the world.

Jungkook managed to bow slightly to them while also attempting to prevent his husband from laughing himself off into another universe. After a good two minutes when Jimin finally calmed down, they realized that they totally forgot that they had to walk in order to reach the station. Standing there and laughing ain't gonna get them nowhere.

And that is when another laughter session started, but this time, Jungkook was a part of it too. Both of them laughed until there were tears in their eyes, while they held hands the whole time. Originally, Jungkook was inclined towards the idea of driving there, but Jimin convinced him that they had to "enjoy the nature around" and blah blah.

Deciding that they would focus more on walking rather than laughing now, they made their way to the Jangsan Station, from where they would reach their final destination: The Cheongsapo Beach.
