"True love's first kiss, eh?" Snotlout asked, muttering.

"Yes, or I'll turn into a blood thirsty beast." (Y/N) replied sadly. She looked at Snotlout with wide eyes "Don't tell anyone that part."

"That you'll turn into a blood thirsty beast?" Snotlout asked with a raised eyebrow, making sure he understood correctly.

She nodded, "I don't want to cause any trouble. It's best if we kept this between you and me..."she murmured quietly.

Snotlout nodded as he looked at the floor. He then looked up at her curiously, "When is your birthday?"

She looked up at him, "Heyannir, on the fifth day."

His eyes went wide open, "That's only in a few months!" He exclaimed.

(Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows worridly, "Few months? Like five? Six?"

Snotlout shook his head "Three."

(Y/N) sighed and placed her hands on her face, "I suppose I am doomed. I guess this is my fate." She muttered. (Y/N) didn't want to turn into a blood thirsty beast. She wanted to live a normal life and have a family with someone who she knows who will take care of her and love her.

"You can kiss me!" Snotlout said as he gives (Y/N) a smirk.

(Y/N) shook her head, unamused with the suggestion, "I'm not sure just kissing anyone would work."

"Well, doesn't hurt to try." He said bluntly as he shrugged.

(Y/N) sighed, "You just want a kiss, don't you?"

Snotlout just gave her another shrug.

She sighed again. She remembers reading fairy tales that two people don't even have to know each other for true love's kiss to work.

(Y/N) closed her eyes and Snotlout excitedly closed his and they both kissed each other.

(Y/N) heart exploded with excitement and felt the room around her spinning. It felt like something was changing.

When Snotlout and (Y/N) pulled back, nothing happened. (Y/N) wiped her mouth with her arm "See?" She said sadly, "That wasn't true love's kiss...that was..." (Y/N) paused and sighed sadly, "It was just a normal kiss that had no love behind it."

Just like those stories. They were just that.

Stories. A fairy tale.

Snotlout thought the kiss was going to be something amazing, but it didn't feel like what he thought it will feel like. Instead, it felt like kissing a wall. There wasn't any feeling behind it.

(Y/N) started to lose hope. She had the tiniest bit of hope, that maybe this kiss would have worked, but it could of been just Snotlout or herself. It could be that he doesn't truly love her and that kiss was just something he wanted. Or that she just didn't truly love him. Either way, it didn't work.

"Are you sure it's true love's first kiss?" Snotlout asked, starting to feel skeptical with this mumbo jumbo.

(Y/N) nodded, "Yes, it sounds silly, I know, but the wizard who told me it was true love's first kiss and I trust him. He was the one who helped me with the chant after all."

Snotlout nodded in understanding. There was some silence and (Y/N) let out an audible sigh as she looks down at her hands. "If I end up turning into a blood thirsty beast..." she trailed off as she looked up at Snotlout with a blank face, "Don't be afraid to kill me."

His eyes went wide in shock. He just met this girl and she's requesting him to kill her.

He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry...you won't get that far." he then smiled, "I'll help you find someone."

She gave him a small sad. (Y/N) liked him though. However, he may not be the one who is able to break the curse. She might be able to find someone else in this village and fall for them instead.

"Why, do you want to help me?" She asks him, confused why he's being so kind.

Snotlout just gave her a shrug, "I think you're pretty awesome. With all the scales and wings and stuff." He then gave her a smirk, "Besides, who doesn't want to help a pretty girl like yourself?" He said flirtatiously

(Y/N) let out an amused sigh and shook her head. "Pretty? Me?"

Snotlout awkwardly chuckled, "Yeah, I think you're pretty and... pretty cool?" Snotlout said with uncertainty.

(Y/N) just let out a laugh, "Thanks."

(Y/N) decided that she will stay with Snotlout until her curse gets broken.

The next morning (Y/N) got woken up early by Snotlout, who kindly slept on the floor and let (Y/N) sleep on the bed.

"Ugh." She groaned and sat up on the bed.

"Good morning. It's time to start the day." He smiled.

She looks at him tiredly and plopped back down on his bed. "It's way too early." She mutters.

Snotlout groans and started to drag the tired girl up from the bed, "Come...on!" He said in a strain voice, "Besides, we need to get you clothes." He mutters as a blush creeped on to his face.

She looks at him with tired eyes, "I actually like your clothes. They're very comfortable."

Snotlout blushed harder and looked away. "Okay, fine." He muttered and let go of (Y/N).

"Also, nice bed hair." (Y/N) chuckled.

Snotlout groaned and ruffled his hair and fixed it.

(Y/N) then asked Snotlout if he had clothes that she can wear outside.

Snotlout gave (Y/N) his older clothes and boots that he still kept when he was a teenager. Snotlout got cleaned up and ready. He then stepped outside and waited for (Y/N).

She was finally done and went outside. Snotlout immediately noticed that the clothes were big on (Y/N) but not as much as the ones from last night.

"You look ridiculous." He laughs at how silly the outfit looked on her smaller body.

(Y/N) rolled her eyes, "I'll take ridiculous any day." She chuckled. It was better than being called an ugly freak of nature.

"Alright, let's go." He said as he clapped his hands.

He started to go down the ladder and (Y/N) followed.

The cold morning air felt nice on (Y/N)'s scaley body. She noticed that her hands are now fully scaled except her fingers.

She looked up at Snotlout, admiring his facial features. This was what she wanted for awhile but she felt like it was going to end pretty soon.

However, she feels doubt that anyone would want someone like her. An abomination.

"Snotlout..." she mumbles as she looks down at the muddied ground from the storm last night.

He looks over at her curiously. (Y/N) let out an sad audible sigh. She thought about what to say but changed her mind, "Nevermind." She murmurs.

Before Snotlout protested, they ran into Hiccup and Astrid.

"Who's this?" Hiccup asks as he stares at the strange scaled girl. He looked closer at her skin "Wait..." he mutters

"Hi Chief, it's me...(Y/N)." She said shyly and nervously.

Hiccup eyes went wide along with Astrid's

"Wow! You look and sound different!" Hiccup exclaimed.

"How are you...?" Astrid trailed off

"Human?" (Y/N) asked with a small smile.

She nodded and Hiccup looked curious too.

(Y/N) gave them the basic run down of her situation. Except, she took out the blood thirsty beast part. She didn't want people to start panicking. Or want the Chief to go after her and kill her.

"So, to break your curse. You need true love's first kiss?" Hiccup asked with furrowed eyebrows.

(Y/N) nodded.

Snotlout placed his hands on (Y/N)'s shoulders, "Yeah, and I am going to find her true love. Now if you excuse us." Snotlout started to push on (Y/N)'s and made her walk as she looked behind her and watched the two people who had confused expressions.

"What was that all about?" (Y/N) asked Snotlout.

He looked her, "We don't have time to chit-chat!" He exclaimed. Suddenly he stopped, "How does true love even work anyways?" Snotlout asked.

(Y/N) gave him a shrug, "I thought it was supposed to be something like you see someone you like and then the other person likes you back and if you kiss, that's true love."

Snotlout stopped and think, then he shrugged, "Sounds about right."

(Y/N) groaned in disgust, "I kind of don't want to kiss every single person I meet though." She mutters to herself.

"Oh! Remember Tuffnut?" Snotlout blurted out randomly.

(Y/N) takes a second to think and her eyes lit up, "Yeah, yeah! Isn't he the one with the fake beard thing going on?"

Snotlout chuckled, "Yeah, you should maybe get to know him...just...don't say that."

"That he has a fake beard?" (Y/N) asked to make sure she understood.

"Yeah, he's kind of sensitive about that." He said as he shrugged.

(Y/N) raised a confused eyebrow, but agreed anyway.

Eventually (Y/N) and Snotlout found Tuffnut but also along with Ruffnut.

"Hey, who's this?" Ruffnut asked as she stares at the girl.

"What's wrong with her skin?" Tuffnut asked as he reached out to touch (Y/N) scaley skin, but she slightly jerked back.

"It's me, (Y/N)." She said as she did a small wave.

The twins looked at her in awe.

"What happened? You don't look like a scary lizard anymore." Tuffnut said bluntly.

(Y/N) sighed and gave them the long story short explanation.

"I don't get it." Tuffnut said right after (Y/N) finished explaining.

(Y/N) looked over at Snotlout for help.

Snotlout rolled his eyes and sighed in annoyance, "She needs to find true love's first kiss so she can just become a normal human again. Sooo..."

Snotlout pushed (Y/N) against Tuffnut, "You two should get to know each other."

(Y/N) blushed a deep red. "I-I-I..."

"Uh, okay?" Tuffnut said slightly confused.

Tuffnut and (Y/N) started to walk the other way. While Snotlout flirted with Ruffnut.

"So, baby. You want to hang out with me today?" Snotlout asked with a smirk.

(Y/N) just stared at the two as she kept walking. She started to feel her heart become heavy with sadness. "Baby?" She mutters to herself.
