Chapter 6

"You're a...you--" Snotlout stuttered.

"Yes, I'm a human." (Y/N) muttered.

Snotlout blinked a couple of times. Shocked and surprised "Wow, you look and sound so...different." he breathed out "and you're..." suddenly his eyes then went wide as his face flushed red. He turned his head to the side and lifted a hand up to his face.

"You're...n-n-n--"

(Y/N), looked down at her scaley human body.

"Is it bad to be naked?" She asked innocently.

Living in solitude for so long no one ever taught her what is acceptable in society. Well, with some things of course. Just never in a situation like this.

Snotlout cringed when she said the word "I-I mean no...yes! No! Just...ugh." he groaned.

He went over to where he had his clothes. Still looking away, he walked over to (Y/N) and threw the clothes at her face.

"Wear those." He bluntly said as he stares at the wall.

(Y/N) looked at the male's clothes. And couldn't help but smile.

"Thanks! I haven't gotten new clothes for a really long time!" She exclaimed excitedly. Snotlout didn't answer. It looked like he was too embarrassed to answer. (Y/N) slightly frowned and cleared her throat, "Sorry."

"Why couldn't you just wear clothes when you're..." Snotlout trailed off.

"In my abomination form?" She asked as she starts getting the tunic on.

"Uh yeah. Your abomination form." He mutters

"Well, when I was younger I could wear clothes when I become my abomination form, but as I got older, my body mass grew two times as big and now I'm unable to fit in clothes. They'll rip." She said as she sighed sadly.

Snotlout just let out a grunt in understanding.

The clothes that Snotlout gave her were big and baggy, but actually felt very comfortable. "Have you never seen a naked woman before?" She blurts out curiously.

Snotlout looked up at her and furrowed his eyebrows "I've seen plenty of na-naked ladies!" He crossed his arms and looked away, "Besides, that's none of your business!" He muttered sheepishly.

(Y/N) slightly frowned, "Okay, I was just curious." She said with a sigh.

She was disappointed that he's so popular with women. There was no way someone like him was going to ever fall in love with someone like her.

"So, uhm, how did you...?" Snotlout asked slowly and cautiously.

She walked over to a bench and stared at it "May I?" She asked as she looks up at Snotlout. He nods and gestures at it.

She turned and sat down with a sigh as Snotlout sat beside her.

"I got...cursed when I was a child...by a witch that lived in my village. I was a stupid kid and made a really bad mistake." (Y/N) explained she looked up at Snotlout with sad eyes

There was a little girl who was only about five who was the prankster of the village. She pulled little harmless jokes just to annoy the adults. However, one prank went wrong and the girl killed the witch's pet lizard that she had since she was a child.

Before she could run back to her village the witch grabbed her, full of anger and revenge.

"I told you not to come back! You killed my pet...my only friend."

"It was a mistake! I didn't mea--...Where are you taking me? Let me go! No! No! No!"

The witch threw the little girl into her witch's hut. However, the witch didn't want to kill her. She wanted her to suffer. She cursed the girl that made her into a beast, an ugly beast of a lizard like dragon humanoid.

The curse strengths with time and eventually will take over the little girl on her 21st birthday, forever making her an animal like beast that would be blood thirsty for humans.

She ran away from home. Her village found her hiding in the forest after the witch made up a story of a beast that will kill everyone in sight and that the beast has landed on their island.

"Kill it!"

"Kill that abomination!"

"What an ugly abomination!"

"Ugly!"

"A freak of nature!"

The little girl fled from her island, as she took to the skies in fear. Not knowing what she was doing, she ended up landing by a nearby island crashing into the ground.

She roamed around the island for days crying and weeping. Scared during the night and scared during the day.

One night as she was sleeping someone woke her up. In fear she swiped her claws and scratched an old man's arm.

"I-I'm sorry."

"It's alright. Don't be afraid. Let me help you."

"Why?"

"Because...I'm just like you."

The old man turns out to be a wizard. He was able to help the girl out by helping her switch back into human just by saying a small chant and looking through a mirror. The wizard handed her a glass shard from a mirror and she began to chant.

"Abomination, go away. Abomination, hide away."

The chant works, however, the witch's magic was too strong. The wizard wasn't able to reverse the curse. The only way to break it was to have true love's first kiss before her 21st birthday.

However, the girl is now able to switch to being her normal and cursed form.

The wizard also owned a small but old dragon named Fergus. Fergus and the little girl became close friends. The girl was able to speak to the dragon and he was able to speak to her. He taught the little girl how to fly and how to use the wind to her advantage. He taught her how she can use her nose as a way to track her prey when hunting.

Fergus taught the girl how to be a dragon.

The girl lived happily with the wizard and the old small dragon for a year. The wizard took care of her and fed her chicken and cabbage soup everyday. The little girl finally felt peace.

Until one day as they were playing outside, Fergus saw Vikings coming up from the shore.

They flew back home and the wizard started to give Fergus directions to take the little girl to safety.

The wizard handed the girl a satchel with the mirror shard inside and extra clothes. Fergus led her to a cave that would lead them to the other side of the mountain.

As they made it to the other side, both of them saw smoke coming from the side that they just came from.

Fergus told the girl that she needed to go on, on her own. She begged him to come but he refused as he is was too old for adventures and that his master needed him.

"Fly away child and don't come back."

"But--!"

"Go!"

"Will I ever see you again?"

"I-I'm sure..."

"Promise?"

"Promise, now go and don't look back."

The little girl fled. She flew away from the island as she heard screams and yells that would haunt her for months, but she didn't stop and she didn't look back.

She flew through storms, she flew with the birds, and she flew with dragons.

One day, she found a small icy island with an icy cave that no one would like to live in. Not even a dragon wouldn't find it interesting.

The cave ended up being the place that she was going to reside in for the next fourteen years.
