chapter five, it's an andy and paisley thing!

THE NEXT DAY, PAISLEY WALKED THROUGH THE HALLS in search of Lucas and Malia.  As she walked, she couldn't help but remember what happened at Lydia's house.  Andy got a girlfriend and Lucas was heartbroken, not to mention it was due to them wanting the same girl.  "Paze! Over here!" Malia exclaimed, causing the girl to walk over to them.  "Lia, hey.  Is Lucas okay?"

"I don't know, actually. We didn't talk after the party." Lucas walked over to them, although he didn't seem fine. "Hey, guys."

"Hey, Lucas. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Malia looked at him, "Are you sure?"

"Guys, I was never going to be with her anyways."

"Lucas, we know how you are and you still have a bit of hope that you might have a chance with her. If her and Andy don't work out, then I guess it's a sign."

"Uh, guys... you might want to see this." Malia stated, causing Paisley and Lucas to look confused. "See what?" Lydia and Andy exited the closet, Lydia's hair was very messy. The trio walked side by side as they were going to their first class. "They made out? Since when?" Malia questioned. "I don't know! How am I supposed to get over my feelings for her now?"

"You know what would cheer you up? A movie!" Malia suggested, causing Paisley to furrow her eyebrows.  "How would a movie help?"

"Movies always help.  You guys can come over to my house tomorrow and we can watch a few films!"

"Please don't tell me you're going to put on romcoms."  Lucas muttered under his breath, causing the girl to gasp.  "Lucas, my dear friend.  How could you say that? Of course I'm going to put on romcoms! Plus, we can't watch horror movies anymore.  Remember what happened last time?"

"Yeah, Annabelle scared the shit out of me.  I couldn't look at my dolls for a whole month."  Lucas laughed, "I remember that! You screamed when I picked one of them up."

"I was scared, okay? But I'll come over tomorrow, Lia."

"Perfect! Lucas?" The boy sighed, "Fine, I'll be there." Malia smiled, "Great! I'll make lots of popcorn and snacks! It'll be so much fun."

"I can't wait."

CLASS AFTER CLASS, PAISLEY WAS WALKING INTO RABBI REBECCA'S classroom as she took a seat.  Andy and Lydia entered, holding hands.  "Hey, Lili."

"Hi, Andy.  Hi, Lydia."  Lydia gave her a small wave, "Hi, Paisley.  How are you doing?"

"I'm good.  What about you?"

"I'm doing great.  Babe, I'm gonna go sit, okay?"

"Sounds good, babe."  As Lydia went to her desk, Andy couldn't help but look at Paisley.  "How's class going so far?" she asked him, breaking him out of a trance.  "Oh, um... it's okay.  What about you?"

"It could be better.  I think I got cooked on my math test last period."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it was really hard."

"You know what would cheer you up?"

"What?"

"The A and P thunder!" The two did their signature handshake, earning a confused look from Lydia.  "What are they doing?" she asked.  Malia heard her, turning around.  "Oh, it's an Andy and Paisley thing.  They always do this handshake."

"Oh."

As Andy touched her hands, Paisley felt butterflies in her stomach again.  Why was she getting them all of a sudden? As the two laughed, Paisley looked at him.  Andy always had a nice smile to her, actually.  She found it cute when his dimples would show.  Why was she finding his smile cute? He was with Lydia so why was she seeing this now?

Andy furrowed his eyebrows, "Lili? Lili!"

"Huh? Oh, sorry.  Were you saying something, Andy?"

"Are you okay? You were zoning out."

"I was? Sorry, I was just thinking about something for a minute."

"What were you thinking about?"

"I was... thinking about what I'm going to have for lunch today! My mom made me mac and cheese with fried chicken and I can't wait to eat it."

"Your mom makes really good mac and cheese."

"I could let you have a bit if you want."

"Really?"

"Yeah.  If I give you a little, you have to give me one of your Little Bites."

"Brownie flavored?"

"You know me too well.  But we'll talk at lunch, Andy."  As the two took their seats, Paisley couldn't help but really notice the curly haired blonde.  She didn't know what she was thinking but one thing was certain: Paisley West was starting to see that Andy Goldfarb was cute.

And about time she did.

Paisley FINALLY thinks that Andy is cute!! Who cheered bc I did!! Honestly, I have so much motivation for this book it's insane 😭 my other books will be updated soon though bc it's been awhile since I picked up where I left off

The way Lucas likes Lydia is so sad ☹️ (the way this has happened to me way too many times with my crushes is crazy 😭) BUT stay tuned bc it won't be sad for too long (Should I write a book for him and Lydia tho??)
