Chapter 6: Good Morning
As per usual, before the free period bell rang to announce the end of the break, Armin would leave early so that he had enough time to bring his book back to his room. He hesitantly put his soft, gentle hand on my shoulder. "Y-Y/N," he stuttered out to me quietly. I slowly opened my eyes and moaned; the sensual sound of my voice visibly making the hairs on his arms rise. "Yes?" I answered groggily. "I've got to go now," he informed me. "It's already time to go?" I interrogated further. "Yes," he stated. I exhaled loudly and then groaned with displeasure.
I sat up beside Armin and admired him. I know I keep saying this but he was such a pretty boy. He had such an innocent look to his beautiful, shimmering, ocean blue eyes. His skin looked so soft and warm, his lips pink and plush. He was truly gorgeous. I did not understand why other boys could not look like he did. I stretched and made a wincing sound while doing so. "Alright", I said as I got up and off of the bed. Armin proceeded to get up after I did. He put on his brownish-grey shoes and then grabbed his book off of the bed. He went to reach for the doorknob but suddenly stopped. "Hey, Y/N. I would like to get to know you more if that's okay. Could we talk tomorrow?" he sheepishly asked. "Uh, yeah. Sure, that sounds good," I replied awkwardly. "Okay, well I'll see you then," he replied quickly as he opened the door and swiftly exited. I stood on the porch and watched him walk away in a hurry. He walked down the path, then turning his head, looking straight back at me. All of a sudden, he smiled and waved goodbye. It was so sweet and considerate of him, I felt. Even from this distance, I could tell that his cheeks were redder than anything I had seen before. Well, I mean that's definitely a big exaggeration but oh well. I smiled and waved back at him, then watching him disappear into the wooded forest. About ten minutes later, the dinner bell rang and I traveled to the mess-hall.
A LETTER TO MY FATHER IN ANOTHER TIME
Dear Dad,
Today was different. I have made a friend whom I really like. He is not one of those mean jocks that bump into me and make me drop my belongings. He seems to be a kind guy. Every day during the free period, he comes by and reads in my cabin. I enjoy spending time with him. I have decided not to come home yet. Yes, I know that I am supposed to be at home right now and I'm not so you're probably mad at me, but I want to see where this goes. I think I'm falling for him, whatever that may mean. I think this is worth it, though. I promise that I will keep you updated. I love you lots!
From,
Y/N
