"EREN, NO!" Hanji screamed as the titanshifter pounded away at the castle. Levi immediately activated his 3d maneuver gear and went to slice at the nape. However, what happened next was very shocking. Whether it was intentional or not, Titan Eren had backhanded Levi! 

Hanji ran in the direction he was sent flying, and Erwin proceeded to shout orders at the flabbergasted and panicking soldiers.

"SURVEY CORPS! DETAIN THAT TITAN!"

"But sir!" Some random scout protested. "Most of us don't have our 3DM gear!"

"WELL, DON'T JUST STAND THERE- GET THEM ON AND FOLLOW YOUR ORDERS!"

"Our gear is inside the building, sir!"

OH.

SNAP!

Normally, the Commander was calm, cool and collected. He always had a back-up plan. But this is one of those rare case scenarios, in which his mind just goes blank. Too many things were happening. Levi was injured (if not dead), Titan Eren has lost control of himself, half the survey corps was injured from the expedition- so they were out of commission, and the remaining scouts are either trapped inside the collapsing castle, or  stuck outside without their maneuver gear. 

If through some miracle he survives this ordeal, he would be subject to an even angrier crowd over taxes. The titanshifter would fall into the hands of the military police and wall cultists, and there will be no chance for the creation of faster, TITAN-SLAYING, HYBRID horses.

But worst of all, the king could have him executed, and then dismiss the entire Survey Corps!

"Commander! What are your orders?!" cried the random soldier.

Erwin looked towards where he heard that voice, and saw a group of a couple dozen scouts. They were desperate to take some course of action, but unsure of what to do. He was just about as lost as they were. Looking back to the titan, Erwin noted how he just kept going. At least that meant that one horse was still alive. For now.

After a moment of hesitation, Erwin nodded to himself and addressed the question.

"My order still stands-"

"ARE YOU CRAZY?! WITHOUT THE MANEUVER GEAR WE DON'T STAND A CHANCE! AND IF WE RISK GOING IN THERE TO GET IT, WE'LL BE KILLED!" Many of the scouts agreed with that statement.

"LET ME FINISH! We are going to detain that titan, by using the nets!"

"You mean the same ones that failed in capturing the female titan?!" 

"YES, THOSE ONES. WHAT CHOICE DO WE HAVE?!"

"Those nets were broken and abandoned outside the walls!"

"THEN MAKE SOME MORE!"

"Nobody but Squad leader Zoe knows how to make them!"

"THEN FOLLOW ME! WE MUST GET HANJI!"

"But what about the titan?!"

"WHAT ABOUT THAT TITAN?! WE HAVE NO GEAR AND THERE'S NOTHING WE COULD DO UNTIL WE MAKE THOSE BLASTED NETS!"

At that moment, many scouts lost faith and loyalty in their commander. And Erwin Smith was starting to question his own faith in humanity.

--- Meanwhile inside the castle---

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"  

All I could do is run and scream. Everywhere I turned, the ceiling caved in, the walls were crushed, and the floor went out from beneath me! Luckily, I was too fast to get caught in the wreckage. But I can't say the same for many people. 

I felt so bad, having to leave them behind. But I couldn't hoist them all on my back. I didn't even have enough time to save ONE person. I had to keep moving or else I'll be smashed into glue! [{(At that moment, Eren's Titan nearly punched you in the face)}].

HOLY MOTHER-!  I reared up, turning around and galloping full speed in the opposite direction as a squeal of fright left my throat. Was it even possible for horses to make such a noise? 

Why am I even wondering about that when I could die at any second?!

Eren roared again, and punched through another wall. He's gonna hurt and maybe kill more people if he keeps this up. What if he harmed somebody from the main cast and ruined the plot? What if that already happened?! I GOTTA DO SOMETHING! But I'm a moving target though. What should I do?!

I turned another corner. I was on a lower level, but at the front of the castle again near the big windows. From the chasing earlier, Titan Eren had moved to where the middle of the castle should be. From the view, the ground didn't look too far away. It was still pretty high up, but I've seen horses in movies make those jumps. Then again... THE HEIGHT.

Oooohhhh I don't like heights. This feels worse than that bungee jumping thing at (amusement park). As I was working up the nerve to jump, the guy pushed me! I was NOT ready and since then, I was traumatized. I swore to myself to NEVER AGAIN take a jump through ridiculous heights.

But if I don't move get out of this castle, more people could get hurt and die! 'But so could you!' my inner conscience argued. I'm going to have to jump... 'BUT I HATE HEIGHTS!'

But I MUST do it. For the people! 'FORGET THE PEOPLE THEY LEFT YOU STRANDED AT THE TOP OF THE CASTLE!' This was getting out of hand.

I need to focus. If I were to choose between a raging titanshifter or my fear of heights, which one would it be?

SMASH!!!

Eren had cleared out the wall and saw me. Death intent in his blazing, green eyes.

NO THANKS, I CHOOSE LIFE!

With that, I crashed hoof-first through the window.

 After my mind processed the sound of breaking glass, everything went slow. I felt weightless, and cold from the air. Before I knew it, I had landed on the ground.

Oh. My. Gosh. I DID IT!

Just then, Titan Eren burst through what was left of the castle like a chest buster on Aliens.

"RRRRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!"

Welp, there goes my moment. Once again, I turned tail and ran. Glancing around, I didn't see anybody from the Survey Corps. They weren't all inside the castle were they? I hope not.

Because now, I'm rushing through the streets. Luckily, the civilians panic and clear the way before they get trampled. As long as I stay on the ground, Titan Eren wouldn't be able to wreck anymore buildings, right?

But as I turned another corner, he slid into one, wrecked another while getting up, and bumped into a third structure while running by. He didn't look like he was going to tire himself out anytime soon. Neither was I. But how long will it be before somebody stops Eren?
