Thank you also for your patience. I apologize for the wait (even after I said that I'll update 'soon'). I'm in college, so it's very busy. Hopefully this update will make up for it. Darkness.

That was all I could see.

Just an empty void of darkness.

It was also silent. I could not even hear myself breathe.

Was I even breathing?

Part of me wanted to inhale, but at the same time, it didn't even feel like I needed to. Kind of like I was holding my breath. My body would breathe when it needs to and not when I want, I guess.

I was also numb all over. I couldn't tell whether it was hot or cold. I couldn't even tell if I was lying still, or floating around through this empty void. Even if I was moving, I didn't know in which direction.

Normally, I would feel unnerved by all this. But I was so tired. It felt as though my strength and consciousness were draining away by the second. Yet I didn't mind. Sleep sounds good right now. I think I'll just close my eyes and go to sleep forever.

Just as I was on the brink of eternal sleep, I heard something. It was too muffled and soft to understand at first.

But then, whatever it was became louder, and louder. It was just indecipherable noise. Yet it burst my eardrums and caused my ears to ring! When I tried to cover them, I realized that I couldn't move my arms.

The need to move overpowered my drowsiness.

I CAN'T MOVE!
WHY CAN'T I MOVE?!?!

As I panicked internally, I felt feather-like touches on my sides. Shortly afterwards, they moved to my chest. Each touch got firmer and firmer to the point it felt like someone was pounding my rib cage.

IT HURTS!
STOP THAT!
IT HURTS!!!

The painful touches would pause for a bit, and then pick right back up where they left off. Fortunately, the pain started to fade as I registered new things. The loud noise had left, and was replaced with faint, whooshing, wind-like sounds. Through my closed eyelids, I saw the dark void become brighter. I also realized that air was being forced into me, through my throat. If the pounding in my rib cage would stop, I could breathe on my own!

By now, my sense of touch had fully returned. I felt a breeze ruffle my hair and clothes, blades of grass on my fingers, stinging sensations on my face, and I sensed something above me. What was that?

Air was being forced through my throat once more. This time, I followed it.

I tasted something wet and slippery.

What is this sensation?

Hanji's POV:

"LEVI!!!" I screamed as I ran towards his body. Titan Eren had swatted him a good mile away from the castle, and into a small cluster of trees. Said man was limply dangling, three feet off the ground, from the wires of his 3dm gear. His cape was ripped and tattered to shreds. Levi was also scratched up from those same branches. The wounds were relatively shallow, but he was still bleeding all over, plus there were leaves in his hair and all over his clothes.

He would definitely throw a hissy fit over the condition of his appearance; if he were awake and there was a mirror, that is. I would also be laughing right now at the absolute mess Levi became. But the situation was dire. Humanity would suffer a severe loss if he were to die.

"Please don't be dead, please don't be dead," I chanted as I grabbed hold of Levi. Once I freed him from the wires, I carefully laid my comrade down and pressed my head to his chest. Levi's breath and heartbeat were very faint, and this relieved me at first. But then to my horror, both started to slow down! "Come on, Levi! Wake up! Don't do this right now!" I shook his shoulders and patted his face. In response Levi's eyes snapped open! But then they rolled up to the back of his skull, and his head went slack to one side. His breathing also stopped. "No! Nononono Levi!"

I immediately started to do CPR. Levi remained unresponsive. My lungs started to burn, and I was becoming light headed, but I did not stop. Levi had to live! After countless times of going through the procedure, I was in the middle of giving him air when I felt something wet and slippery against my tongue.

Wait. WHAT?! 

 My eyes widened when I realized that it was Levi. 

He was... Kissing me!?

ASDFGEWFRBMJPERMNBXDVUEDS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I tried to pull away, but in my haste, my hands slipped and that caused me to fall back on top of him. This also caused his tongue to plunge deeper into my mouth. In that moment; when I tasted tea on his lips, smelled his natural musk, and felt the warmth of his smooth skin on my face.

And I was lost. 

Petra's Pov:

"EREN, STOP!!!" I cried as he repeatedly plunged his titan fists into the castle. People that were inside the building screamed and ran out the door in crowds. Some even jumped through the windows! Debris started to fall everywhere and we all scattered in fear of getting crushed. When I looked back up, everything froze.

Levi was moments away from slicing Eren out of the nape. But then he got smacked, his form went limp, and I let out the most loudest, bloodcurdling scream:

"LEEEEVIIII!!!!" 

As his body went flying, I chased after it. I didn't even care to grab a horse, or to find some gear to stop Titan Eren. Tears blurred my vision and I tripped, scraping my knees and the palms of my hands. I just got back up and kept running, sobbing the whole way. 

I lost sight of Levi as I entered a thicket. The tree branches scratched my eyes, and I tripped over some gnarly roots. This time, I smashed myself right into a tree! 

My chin and spine arched up, pressing my torso against the scratchy bark, and my arms went limp on my sides.  After a few moments, I slumped to the side, bleeding and crying as adrenaline wore off and pain set in. Blood poured from my nose and mouth, and I felt myself start to black out.

"Levi..." 

I pictured his face. His skin was so pale and clear. It looked smooth to the touch. His face was framed perfectly by his bangs. I imagined the way they swayed when he turned, or whenever there was a breeze. They were so long, it made me wonder how he would have looked if he grew out the rest of his hair. Not that I didn't like his current undercut style. 

I reminisced the way his gruff, deep, voice would fabricate insults and bark out commands. Not the sweetest things to hear, yet I always feel oddly comforted whenever he spoke to me. My heart would flip whenever he clicked his tongue- a sound so unique and impossible to mimic (no matter how hard Olou would try), that strangely suited him. 

Then I remembered his eyes. They were such a strange, but beautiful color. They looked grayish at first, but up close, there was a hint of blue. I never saw him express fear, sadness, or happiness- which is why I liked his eyes. They are the windows to the soul. When content, they were still, like a frozen lake. But when he was angry, they burned like a silver fire. I tried to be discreet whenever I looked at his eyes during dinner, or whenever I dropped off some tea and paperwork. But he always caught me, and I always froze as his steely, blue eyes pierced into my soul, like the dual, steel blades that we carry. 

And then there was darkness. 

~~~ Meanwhile with That One Horse:

Nope.

NOPE!

NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!

NOPE-ITY

NOPE!

You zigzagged at the last second; avoiding Titan Eren's foot and running a different direction, while the raging giant proceeded to crash through yet another building.

At this rate, Titan Eren would wipe out the entire city!

Although you had the stamina to run forever, you were starting to get mentally exhausted. But you didn't dare stop. You weren't going to risk hiding in an alleyway or running across the rooftops either. You didn't know which alleyways had dead ends, and we all know what happened the last time you climbed up a building.

"RRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR!!!!"

SMASH!!!

And there goes another building.

"YOU BETTER STOP!!!"

You hollered over your shoulder. But of course, Titan Eren didn't obey. Not like he understood you anyways, but still. He is so going to get executed after this! If only you had a sword right now. You'd slice his heel to make him trip, and cut him out of the nape to end this nonsense!

Suddenly, you saw something large in your peripheral vision and you instinctively reared up- stopping yourself from running into a falling structure that could have crushed you. This was followed by more projectiles as you ran. Titan Eren was throwing things at you!

"ALRIGHT THAT'S IT! I'M NEVER SAVING YOUR UNGRATEFUL SELF AGAIN!!! I TRY TO HELP AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS- I AM SO DONE! THE TIMELINE IS DEFINITELY SCREWED! THIS IS THE END OF THE SURVEY CORPS! HUMANITY IS GONNA FALL! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! I'LL NEVER SEE IF MY SHIP BECOMES CANON!"

You ranted as you continued to run and dodge things that were thrown by the raging titan-shifter. You swerved just in time to avoid what was once a fruit stall. 

CRASH!

"EREN DON'T WASTE FOOD! THERE'S STARVING PEOPLE IN (Country)!" 

You then made a sudden turn, just in time to avoid a church bell.

DONG!!!

"TACO BELL!

I mean...

OH! MY POOR, SENSITIVE EARS!"  

Before your eardrums could recover from the sudden ear rape, you had to dodge a water tower.

SPLASH!

"YEEEE-!"

You managed to avoid the tower itself, but then you were swept away by the flash flood! You struggled to tread the water and avoid sinking, but you still got bumped around on the ground and buildings as if you were in a washing machine. Finally, you came to a stop. The flood waters brought you quite a distance away from Titan Eren, but he was closing in fast. Luckily, you were able to stand back up and start running again.

At this point, you were running alongside the Wall, in attempt to prevent Titan Eren from smashing into anymore buildings and throwing stuff at you. You were also quickly approaching the giant stone, which Titan Eren had carried to block the breach that was made by the Colossal Titan. There wasn't enough time to go around it!

It was in this moment that you knew- you done screwed up.

You did a horse version of the wall kick off the gargantuan rock- jumping on it with your front hooves, and then kicking off with your back hooves. Then you ran in between Titan Eren's feet. At the same time, the titan-shifter crashed into the boulder!

Titan Eren wobbled for a moment- completely dazed from body slamming into the concrete mass, before crashing down on his face.

THUD!!!

The ground trembled and you nearly lost your balance, but luckily you didn't fall. The last thing you needed right now was your body to act like a baby giraffe again.

You slowed down to a trot, and went back to where the titan-shifter had fallen. There was no steam emitting from the titan body, so he wasn't going to change back into his human self. Eren was just unconscious. Again, you wish you had a sword. It would come in handy right now! But that's how life is, never getting everything you want. Welp. At least he's not chasing you anymore. Hopefully when he wakes up, he'll forget all about the wild goose chase (or should you say: horse chase).

RUMBLE

You turned to see what that sound was coming from, just in time to see the huge stone roll away, re-opening the breach.

"Oh no..." You groaned.

Your ears pinned back when you heard a growl from behind you.

"GRRRRRRR."

Titan Eren growled through his teeth as he woke up. He glanced up at the huge stone, then looked outside the walls. When his gaze met your own, the nictitating membrane blinked over his irises.

"Yeah, NOPE!" You shrieked.

He snarled as he attempted to snatch you. But you wall kicked off his outstretched hand, and ran into the Outside. Titan Eren roared again as he got up- using the stone as support. In so doing, he caused the gargantuan rock to roll away even further. It proceeded to smash through at least a dozen more buildings before finally coming to a stop- in the canal. This caused the water to flood the newly wrecked streets, and cut off the water flow in the interior district that was one Wall over. 

Meanwhile, you were still running for your life. 

"This guy just won't quit!" You said to yourself as you glanced behind you to measure the distance between yourself and the titan-shifter. Then you faced forward again and started to run faster.

But as you did so, you noticed something just ahead.

"Oh no!" You gasped.

Titans of all classes and sizes were running at full speed towards the breach! The ground shook beneath your hooves, and the rumbling of their footsteps was becoming louder by the second.

Now you know how Simba felt when he saw the wildebeest stampede.

But then, a thought occurred to you: Titan Eren is in rage mode, so he could wipe out all these titans- no problem. Then the people inside the Wall can have one less hoard to deal with, and Titan Eren would be too busy slaying titans to continue chasing you. 

GENIUS!

But as you turned to run around the incoming horde, you noticed that Titan Eren ignored them. He had his sights set on mauling you. He didn't even bat an eye when he collided into a particularly fast abnormal, and it fell down. He just kept running, not even caring to crush the nape of that titan with his heel. And it was one of those creepy, crawly ones too. Since when did Titan Eren ever skip an opportunity like that?!

Wait. His goal was probably to kill you, not kill the titans. 

This is bad... 

You took one last glance at the breached wall. There was no way you could live with yourself if you did nothing about this. Sure, titans would still get inside anyways until the breach is fixed, but you are the only one who is standing (er- running) between the Walls, and this particular titan horde. 

"RRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR!!!!"

Oh yeah, Eren too but he is not in his right mind at the moment. You started to slow down as you were thinking, so you had to dodge his gargantuan foot when he tried to kick you. 

If you were gonna stop this horde, then you had to run through it. You could run around them, and then chase them from behind, but Titan Eren was not as fast as you were. By the time Eren reached the titans, most of them would already be inside the Walls. Plus, he wasn't even motivated to kill them at the moment, anyways. 

But unlike how it was in the Forest of Giant Trees, these titans would be running in the opposite direction that you were. You could become roadkill if you weren't careful! But you had no other choice. 

"Alright, I'm gonnna do this! Even though I kinda don't wanna~" You then charged into the horde with a war cry. 

[({Hey, dear readers! What's your war cry?})].

You zigzagged like no tomorrow through the maze of towering giants whilst screaming your war cry at the top of your lungs. You didn't even need to turn your head to see that Titan Eren was still in pursuit (not that you could anyway since you were dodging house-sized feet). Soon, the horde was only interested in Titan Eren, and they all gained up on him. In the titan-shifter's eyes, they were preventing him from completing his goal, so he started to mutilate them. 

When there were no more titans to dodge, you glanced behind you to see how Eren was faring. The titans had made a dog-pile, and you were worried that they somehow restrained him. But that thought was quickly scratched when Titan Eren exploded out of their grasps. He punched, kicked, clawed, and bit his way through the horde. This time, he made sure to go for the napes. After each kill, he would glance around with malice until he saw you. It was as if he was making sure you were still there. Otherwise, he would have ignored the titans in favor of chasing you. 

In the mean time you just stood there, enjoying the show. "That's it! Get em'! Kill em' dead!" You cheered like a hyper-active sports-fan. Then Titan Eren started charging at some titans. "And his name is JOHN CENA! DUN DUN DUN DUN!" You snickered, then cringed at the reference you just made. Then you proceeded to imagine things as if Titan Eren were in a boxing match:

Whoosh-THUMP!

THUD!

And the Emo-Titan stands alone, ready to defend his title. Crack open another one, Jim. This is suiting up to be the best World Rumble yet!

Ding-ding-ding!

And he arm-bars a titan that looks like my old math teacher!

Ugh! That's what he gets for liking numbers!

And he squashes the little ones beneath him!

Wow Marty! This is more one-sided than my last divorce settlement.

Yeah well Jim, you might wanna consider not beating your wives!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"Hahaha. Wait. HOW is that funny?" You said to yourself.

"RRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR!!!!"

You were snapped out of your musings when Titan Eren unleashed an earth-shattering roar. This one was way louder than the others he did, the reason being is because all the prey was slaughtered. And then, he turned his gaze towards you.

"YIPE!" You turned tail and ran into the Forest of Giant Trees. 

"How did that NOT make him tired!? His titan stamina should be spent by now- he just chased me all over the city and fought an entire horde!" You panicked as you dashed through the woods. 

Then Titan Eren pounced. He would have grabbed you had it not been for one of the giant trees. 

"DON'T TOUCH-A ME!!!!" You shrieked as you ran faster than you ever had before. 

What happened next was surreal.

The faster you ran, the more everything around you started to blur until it was all one, big, tunnel of color. Time itself seemed to have stopped, and it felt like you were running against an invisible wall. That was probably the wind resistance. Your legs and lungs started to burn as you pushed yourself to go faster. It got to the point where you had to lower your head, hold your breath, and squint your eyes against this barricading wind. All the noise had drowned into a loud whooshing sound as you sped up, but there was a deafening, echo-ey, BOOM- seconds after you had broken through the windy barrier. 

And then you crashed into a tree. 

THUD!

"OW! Owwwwwww." You groaned as you writhed on the ground in pain. "Right on the freaking snoot!" You moaned as you sat up and cradled your nose in between your front legs. It was actually your entire face that was hurting, but your nose hurt the worst. You could smell your own blood! Luckily, you weren't actually bleeding.  

When the pain finally dimmed to a dull throb, you stood up. The first thing you saw was the tree you crashed into. It had cracks and the indention of a horse's face on it. The sight was so comical, that you laughed. 

You then examined your surroundings. It was silent, save for the swishing of leaves in the trees, and some birds chirping. You would have thought this was a peaceful forest if it weren't for the fact that you knew that there were titans. Speaking of which...

You turned back towards the direction that you came running from to see if Titan Eren was still following you. There was no sign of the titan shifter. But you were stunned to see that the area you just ran through now looked barren, and scarred. 

Bushes have been uprooted and blown away. In place of the grass and leaves on the ground, there was a dusty trail. And the gargantuan trees looked like they had been slapped by a hurricane- the bark was ripped clean off the bottom half of the trees on one side! Some trees had pieces of bark dangling like the skin from a peeled potato. Then an endless blanket of twigs and leaves started to fall like confetti. Looking up, you realized that the branches on one side of the trees were completely impoverished. 

This trail of destruction was not here before! "Holy heck..." You gasped as it continued to rain twigs and leaves.  "Did I just break the freaking sound barrier?!" Your reaction to this revelation lasted a good, long while.

When you had finally calmed down, you looked into the distance once more. There was still no sign of Titan-Eren. Even with all these trees, there's no way you'd miss the sight of a fifteen-meter high titan if he were still chasing after you. At the very least, you would have heard him. His footfalls and titan roars could be heard from miles away. Had you finally lost him?

You stood there, straining your ears and staring intensely at the woods for a few more minutes. Nothing. "Oh, finally!" You exclaimed. Then you plopped down and closed your eyes. After everything you went through, you deserve a nap. You were too tired to care that where you were laying was not the most comfortable spot. 

But as you were nodding off into dream-land, you realized things: If Titan Eren was no longer chasing you, he probably wore himself out. That means he most likely shifted back into his human form. That also means he's probably unconscious right now. 

Unconscious... in his human form... All alone... In a titan-infested forest...

Your eyes snapped open. 

Eren may have survived the Santa Titan, but who knows whether or not the next titan that finds him decides to just swallow him whole, and not rip him to pieces? Sure, he's a titan shifter and he could regenerate. But what if he gets chewed up so much that he just couldn't heal and dies? Plus, he might not have the energy to change into a titan again!

You recall in your rant from earlier that you said you won't help Eren's 'ungrateful self again'. But he IS the main protagonist. What would happen if he were to die right now?

Would everyone simultaneously transform into mindless titans, and eat each other?!

Would those strange titan-flowers sprout from his corpse and spread all over- putting everyone who smells them to 'sleep', but they actually die?! 

Would this universe explode?!

Would a Florpus open?!

Actually, the last one doesn't sound too bad. But still. 

You dread what would happen if Eren died right now, so early in the plot. Even if nothing happened, you would still feel very guilty. It's also partially your fault why he is stranded out here. Does he even have his gear? Then again, even if he did have his gear, he could only get so far until he reaches the treeline. 

You had to find him!

"FREAKING 'H' 'E' DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS*!!!" you bellowed as you followed the trail of destruction back the way you came.

Eren's P.O.V.

"Ugh..." I groaned as I opened my eyes. For some reason, I was laying face-down on the ground. My eyes widened and I quickly stood up. Captain Levi will kill me if he found out that I was laying on the filthy ground!

But, I got up too fast and was instantly hit with a wave of dizziness. "Argh!" I instantly sunk to my knees as I covered my head with my arms.  Why do I feel so tired and drained? It's as if I transformed and over-exerted myself while in titan form. But why? I stayed on my knees, panting until the dizzy feeling went away. Once it left, I looked around, only to freeze in shock. 

This isn't HQ.  I was in the Forest of Giant Trees!

 What? How did I get here?! Why am I here?! Where is everyone? Wait.

Don't tell me I hit my head and got left behind on the expedition!

I gasped when I heard the booming sounds of a titan walking in the distance, and immediately reached for my swords.

Only... They weren't there. Looking down, I realized that I did not have the 3dm gear either. Just the belts (which are now pretty much useless), and the clothes on my back. Breathing shakily, I brought my hand to my mouth. But as I readied the bite, I suddenly felt sick, as if I would pass out if I tried to trigger the titan transformation. That happened before actually, during a test with Hanji. As soon as I bit down I blacked out, but I didn't transform. I dropped my hand back to my side. I'm too tired to change into a titan.

I am weaponless... Without my gear... In my human form... All alone... In a titan-infested forest...

I started to tremble. 

I've never felt so weak and helpless since my mom died on THAT DAY. The very thought brought tears to my eyes, and I covered my mouth to muffle my sobs- in fear that a titan might hear me.

To think that I once thought that going outside the Walls meant that I was free. But that was far from the truth. At the end of the day, we all go back to the pens that are also called the Walls. I'm not even allowed to do anything without permission first thanks to this titan power- this curse! To be the very thing I want to destroy, what sick irony is that?

 And now that I am alone, power, and gear-less, I am but helpless prey surrounded by hunters.

Am I the prey?

.

 No! 

I am the hunter!

 I will NOT let this situation be the end of me! Frantically, I start to look around. I have to at least have some kind of weapon if I was to survive out here, at least until I regained enough energy to transform again. 

Suddenly, I heard something.

It was rapid footsteps- too quick and faint to be a titan. It's almost as if it were a-

"Neigh!" 

A horse?

I turned, and what I saw was a horse alright. 

But not just any horse.

"Uma!"

It was my horse! 

The brown stallion trotted over when I called his name, and he started to nudge my shoulder as I hugged him and stroked his snout. I was assigned a different horse before the expedition- one that was fast enough to keep up with the elite horses on Levi Squad.  I hope whoever rode Uma made it back to the Walls. Or at least- died a quick and painless death... 

"Boy, am I glad to see you!" Now that I have Uma, my chances for survival out here have doubled! Eagerly, I checked his saddle bags for supplies. The only thing I could find was a flare gun, with one shot left.  Oh well, that was better than nothing. I'll fire it once I'm close to the Walls. But before I could climb on the saddle, there was a noise.

BOOM!

It was LOUD, worse than cannon fire! The noise scared my horse and he reared up, knocking me down, and he started to run away. 

"UMAAAA! NO! COME BACK!" 

It was hopeless. Uma was already gone.

I thought he was bred to not be easily frightened by titans. Does that mean... Whatever that noise was... Didn't come from a titan?

WHOOSH!

There was a sudden gust of wind. I had to cover my eyes to avoid getting dust and leaves in them. Once it cleared, I looked up and saw another horse. 

But not just any horse.

"Mister Mistoffelees?!"

It was Captain Levi's horse! 

The black stallion snorted. I stood up and reached out to touch him, but he jerked his head away and stomped on the ground. Sometimes, I think he has the same demeanor as the short, clean-freak. 

Speaking of which... Where is Captain Levi? Oh no, he didn't die, did he?! No way! He's Humanity's Strongest! Just because I found a horse without it's rider doesn't mean that the rider is dead. Plus, although Mister Mistoffelees is not as affectionate as Uma, he is one of the fastest steeds in the Survey Corps. And I finally have a chance to ride him! Captain Levi never lets anyone 'borrow' Mister Mistoffelees. But, I'm sure he won't mind much since this is an emergency. If only said horse wasn't so picky.  

Once more, I reached out to the stallion. He stepped backwards before I could touch him in response. "Oh, come on! I'm not that dirty." I reached out again, but then there was another loud noise.

BOOM!

WHOOSH!

The next thing I knew, I was on the ground. Mister Mistoffelees had run me right over! And since my mouth and eyes were both open as I  wheezed from the impact, they were bombarded by dust and leaves. This time, the sudden gust came from the opposite direction than it did earlier. 

"Ack! *spit* Bleh! Ugh!" 

I rolled around in misery as I coughed and cried; spitting and rubbing at my eyes. It stings so much, and the leaves and dust taste nasty! I'm sure if it weren't for my titan healing ability, I would be broken after getting trampled over. Mister Mistoffelees isn't just fast, but freakishly strong too- despite being smaller than Uma and the other horses. 

What's with horses being so much like their riders? 

Why am I even thinking random stuff like that at a time like this?! I'm in titan territory for crying out loud!

Blinking away the tears, I pushed myself up until I was on my knees and checked myself over. I hurt everywhere, but at least nothing's broken and I still have the flare gun I got off Uma. Suddenly, I sensed a presence. 

Ever had the feeling you're being watched? 

Well, I felt that feeling. Turning around, I was greeted at the sight of yet another horse. 

But not just any horse.

One with a (h/c) mane, and (f/c) coat.

Something in my subconsciousness identified it as 'That One Horse'. 

"You..." I breathed. Why was this horse so familiar?

Suddenly, memories flashed before my eyes: the expedition, the abnormal titan with feminine traits, someone getting attacked by the very monster who stood before me, my failed attempt to kill said monster on the rooftops of HQ. 

I don't know how I ended up back outside the Walls, but it certainly has to do with this MONSTER. 

"YOU." I growled. 

The MONSTER just stared, as if it were unfazed by my anger.

"Ever since you showed up, things have gone from bad, to worse!" 

I stood up and started stomping over to the MONSTER with my fists clenched. I was so mad, I could feel heat radiating off my body! That's good, it means that soon, I'll be able to transform again. "You're not a horse- you're a MONSTER! You had no reason to kill that person! What did they ever do to you?! The species you pose as is supposed to serve humanity! Monsters like you deserve to die!" 

At this point, I was standing directly in front of the MONSTER, with a few inches separating me from their snout. It was also at that moment I realized that my body was emitting steam. Excellent! I finally have enough energy. I brought my hand to my mouth. 

"I'm gonna transform and make you a splat!"

Your P.O.V.

I followed the trail that I made with my Ludicrous Speed until it disappeared. I could have broken the sound barrier like I did earlier, but I didn't wanna smash my face into a tree again. I looked around, but there's no Eren here. 

Was this even the tree he crashed into?

Hmm... I don't see the marks of a titan face that got smashed in this tree trunk. Maybe it's the next tree over.

... Or not. 

I started to run faster in my  haste to find Eren. Where is that angry German kid?! I must find him before a titan does!

Whoa hold up! I'ma get lost in this forest if I keep going this way. Good thing I didn't stray too far from the 'trail'. Quickly, I galloped back and re-positioned myself to run in the direction that it pointed. Eren had to be back that way.  

Once I was ready, I reared up, and took off in what I think is a regular horse's running speed. I gradually sped up with each tree that I passed when there was no sign of Eren. You know what? I might as well do another Sonic Boom.

BOOM!

WHOOSH!

While in the middle of that I saw a person-sized, humanoid figure in white in the corner of my eye. Holy heck, it was Eren! But I couldn't turn. I can only run straight when I go this fast. I dragged my hooves into the dirt and I had to lean back until I was almost sitting to come to a stop. I could almost hear tire screeches!

*SCREEEEE-EEEECH!*

Once it was over, I was practically buried in a hole that formed from the force of my 'screeching stop'. 

"Haha! The ground ate me."  

I couldn't climb out of the hole, so I had to back up and out of it. Good thing nobody's around to see how my butt sticks out while doing so. That's why I discontinued yoga class. Unlike Meghan Trainor, I'm not 'all about that bass'. Can't say the same about the pervs in that class though. Freaking Pedobears.  

Once I finally got out of the hole, I turned around and started running again. 

Where's Eren, where's Eren, where's Eren, where's Eren, where's Eren? ... 

UGH! This is taking too long! 

BOOM!
WHOOSH!

*SCREEEEE-EEEECH!*

Whoo! I almost didn't stop in time. I'm in another hole now, but at least I found Eren. He's behind a cluster of uprooted bushes a few feet away from where I am. But why isn't he moving?!  He must have felt that whiplash from my Flash-step. I went closer to get a better look. As I suspected, he didn't have his gear. I decided to go even closer to see how bad he was wounded- and if he's even alive.

"Let's see... Two arms, two legs, one torso and a head. Yup, he's dead!"

Eren sat up. 

"Nevermind. IT'S ALIIIIVE!" 

The angsty teen looked up at my amazing horse bod with confusion. He looked like a lost puppy! "You..." He breathed.  Just then, his eyes flashed with recognition and his lost stare turned into a Levi-wannabe death-glare. 

"YOU." He growled. 

"Me?" 

" Ever since you showed up, things have gone from bad, to worse!"

"Well EXCUUUUUUUSEEEE ME, PRINCESS!" 

As Eren continued to rant, I noticed movement coming from behind him. I stretched my neck out and squinted as hard as I could. There was nothing but a dark patch of wilderness that was blocked by all those leaves. I stared at that area for a few seconds before Eren caught my attention. Why's he bringing his hand to his mouth?!

"I'm gonna transform and make you a splat!"

"CRAZY TITAN KID SAY WHAT?!" 

"ROOOOAAAARRR!!!"

Third Person

Out from the shadows leaped an abnormal titan- the very same one that Eren had knocked over before he massacred the hoard from earlier! You knew it! You knew you saw something move!

Eren had bitten his hand in shock from hearing it roar. But he didn't transform due to the sudden jump scare surprising him and making his mind blank with panic. Before the titan could crush Eren, you grabbed him from his shirt collar and ran. 

"PUT ME DOWN!" 

The teen cursed and swung his arms and legs wildly in attempt to hit you. But he merely dangled from your hold like an angry kitten that was being held by the scruff of its neck. It was rather uncomfortable with how much he was squirming and you were straining to hold all his weight in your jaw. You picked up two people during the expedition like this, but you didn't hold them in your mouth while you ran, like how you're doing with Eren. You debated whether or not is was possible to swing him around so that he was on your back.

But with the creepy-crawly titan hot on your tail, and Eren's futile attempts to escape, you quickly decided that it was better not to risk it. The same goes for your Super Speed. You might break every bone in his body- including the neck! Considering the fact that the nape is a titan's weak spot, you don't wanna risk what would happen if Eren's neck broke.

You ran just as desperately as you did when Titan Eren was chasing you. But when you zig zagged around the trees in attempt to throw the titan off, it made you slow down and the titan came dangerously close to snapping your back legs! 

So you turned to run out of the forest and into the clearing. But as you did so, razor sharp teeth scratched your hip!

"AGH! SOMETHING BIT ME!" You screamed. But since you were holding Eren in your mouth it came out more like: "HRGH! HMF-HR HRF-HEE!"  

"WHO SAID THAT?!" Eren screeched. 

Stunned that he actually heard you that time, you accidentally dropped him.

Everything happened in slow motion. (Again).

Eren face-plants into the dirt.

.

The creepy-crawly titan raises an arm.

.

.

.

You turn and activate your Sonic Speed.

.

.

.

The hand comes down.

.

.

.

You ram Eren out of the way as he stands up.

The titan hits you.

.

.

Team Rocket blasts off. 

.

.

Just kidding.

.

.

.

Your horse body flies and hits the ground hard a few meters away.

.

.

.

The titan loses it's balance and face-plants into the ground. 

.

.

.

Due to the speed it was running, the titan belly-slides across the dirt. 

.

.

.

The titan proceeds to slide off a cliff that was conveniently there.

.

.

.

Eren is shook.

.

.

.

Slow time stops here. 

Eren was frozen and wide-eyed with shock as he witnessed That One Horse get smacked. He was brought back from his stupor when he heard a CRASH from down below. 

He rushed to the edge of the cliff, got on his belly, and peered down the abyss. The creepy crawly titan was sprawled out on its back,  limbs bent at un-natural angles (even for a titan) like a broken marionette, and steam shooting off its skin. The impact of the fall had definitely crushed its nape.

Eren backed away from the edge and stood up. He was looking down, but his eyes were not focused. His mind was in overdrive, and adrenaline was still rushing through his veins. He was processing what just happened. 

"I almost died." He finally spoke. But no sound came from his lips through he mouthed those words. He has had plenty of near-death experiences, but this one just now hit him the worst. 

The loud, temperamental teen was now rendered silent. 

Something moved in his peripheral vision. He turned, and Eren was met with the sight of That One Horse. (He/She) was writhing around on the ground in agony.  

Eren just stood there, staring at the injured creature that he had accused of being a monster. He suddenly felt very convicted, and even more confused at the same time.

"It... It saved my life!" 

Eren's shocked words were no louder than a whisper.

A/N:

*The "'H' 'E' Double hockey sticks" is something my younger sister came up with. It's another way to say 'hell' because she got in trouble for saying that too much. I think it's funny- that's why I used it. 

I hope you guys liked that! Now it will be a while before the next update due to school. Plus, I've been neglecting my Sly Cooper fanfic. But no worries! I have big plans for this story, so it will not be discontinued.
