"I cannot believe how hot it is outside." Endou commented looking through the window that was shut to keep the warm wind from getting in. He had his chin rested on the table.

Gouenji, who sat opposite him, sighed in a bored manner as he lazily rested his head on his palm. The summer afternoon was in its full swing, the sun was spreading it wrath and the hot wind made it worse.

Endou brought the bottle of his beer to his mouth but after tilting it he realised it was finished.

"Huh! This is finished. We need more beer." He remarked.

"I think that was the last one." Gouenji answered.

"Let's go buy some more." Endou sat up and gestured for Gouenji to move.

"I'm not driving!" They both turned to the source of the voice, namely, Kira who was sitting on the couch near them, chatting with her friend on her phone.

"Drive? The store is walking distance." Endou commented a little confused.

"We... can't go there." Gouenji added to the conversation, sheepishly.

"Why not?" Endou asked curiously.

"We are not allowed." Gouenji mumbled.

"You mean... you're banned?" Endou clarified. In response Gouenji silently nodded.

"How does one get banned from a grocery store? I didn't even know they could ban people." Endou was staring at him with wide round eyes.

"Kira, maybe you want to answer this one." Gouenji turned to her with sarcasm.

"Oh don't act like it's my fault!" She frowned.

"It is your fault." He answered matter-of-factly.

"How was I supposed to know those things topple?!" She exclaimed in annoyance.

"Wait! Back up a little." Endou interrupted before Gouenji could respond.

"Ok fine." Gouenji sighed as he prepared to tell the story. Kira walked over to them and sat beside Gouenji.

"This happened a month ago." He began.

"A month and half." Kira corrected.

"Ok fine, a month and half. We went to that store to buy some food... "

"Chips and muffins." Kira interrupted again. This time Gouenji was agitated.

"How is that relevant to the story?!" He exclaimed.

"If you're not going to tell it right what even is the point?" She answered the same way.

"This is why I asked you to tell it in the first place." Gouenji responded.

Instead of countering, Kira continued the story, "I was talking about things with wheels that are fun, like Heelys, skates, rollerblades etc."

"And then there were shopping carts." Kira added after a meaningful pause.

"You see where this is going?" Gouenji quietly commented.

"Eh not really..." Endou answered awkwardly.

"So Kira over here thinks it's a great idea to ride these carts like a scooter and have a race." Gouenji's voice was dripping with sarcasm.

"Oh! Like you didn't agree to it!" Kira retorted.

"I never did anything though." Gouenji recounted smugly.

"That's only 'cuz I went first and... " Kira's voice trailed off.

"And?" Endou asked eagerly.

"And she rammed it into a snack stand." Gouenji concluded suppressing a chuckle.

"Accidentally!!" Kira almost screamed.

"And the whole thing came crashing down. " Gouenji continued calmly ignoring Kira's interjection.

Endou gasped covering his mouth with his palm.

"Anyway, so yah, that's the story of how we got banned from the grocery store." Gouenji stated quietly and everything became quiet for a while.

Endou stared at them blankly for a couple of moments as if processing everything he just heard and then all of a sudden, he burst into laughter making Gouenji and Kira feel even more embarrassed.

"I have to say, Gouenji, I never expected this from you." He said between fits of laughter.

"I didn't do anything!" Gouenji exclaimed annoyedly.

"Neither did I !" Kira quickly added. In response Gouenji just facepalmed.
