"Why am I the one who got blamed when you're the Pyromancer?"

"Because you were the one who suggested it would be cool."

"It was just an old building.Why do they care about it so much? No one has gone in it for years!"

Kira huffed sitting alongside Gouenji who looked awfully calm for someone who was locked up for starting a fire.

Kira got up and walked over to the front of the holding cell yet again.She looked annoyedly at the officers walking around seemingly busy.

"Oh come on!It was gonna get demolished anyway!We did you a favor.You should be thanking us instead of locking us here."

The officer, who was fixated at the file in his hands, raised his head just enough to glare at her. "Just shut up kid! You're in here for only a couple of hours. Let's not create more troubles in that time." He growled.

Kira stepped back, returning to her spot and flopped down beside Gouenji again. She turned to look at Gouenji and found him with an amused expression on his face.

"What are you smirking at?" She asked in annoyance. His calmness was bugging her more and more by the minute.

"I may be able to control fire but you're the hot-tempered one here." He remarked after a pause.

"Whose side are you on?!" Kira growled at his response. She could not find it in herself to appreciate his joke at such a dire time.

She had never thought things would get out of hand like this. It was just an abandoned, two-storey house at the beginning of the woods. It was common knowledge in the town that no one had resided there in a long time.People had even forgotten who the place originally belonged to. There had been myths about it and kids often pretended to ghost-hunt there.

That is how Kira and Gouenji also knew that place. They had also once been kids who had dared each other to take a round of that place without freaking out.

And now after all these years they found out the place was finally getting demolished so they decided to take one final look at it, bid it goodbye.

They stood near the gate, the old and dark building towering above them.

"I wonder why they decided to tear it down after all this time." Kira commented not addressing it to anyone in particular. Gouenji hummed in agreement. They stood quietly for a while when suddenly Kira's eyes twinkled with an idea.

"Let's burn it down." She quietly remarked.

"Huh?" Gouenji looked at her quizzically.

"Burn it down. It'll be fun." She pointed excitedly at the building and repeated herself.

"W-what?" Gouenji's eyes widened.

"You heard me." Kira smirked.

"W-we can't do that! Isn't that illegal?" He tried to reason.

"It's not like we are doing any damage to actual property.They are going to bring it down anyway.If anything, we are doing them a favor." She explained.

"That's true..." Gouenji began pondering.

"Oh come on! Don't waste so much time. Let's just do it. I don't think we will even get caught for us to have to explain anything. " She broke his trance.

"You said we'd never get caught." Gouenji commented lost in thought.

"Who could have seen it coming?" Kira sighed bumping her head back at the wall.

"Anyone but us, apparently."Gouenji sighed as well.
