Prelude ? - Reunite
He lurked around in the dead of the night, following after his target from above the tall buildings, already locked in.
He readied his sniper rifle in his hands. He had to make sure he hit this shot, considering the fact that the area that the target was crossing by is a regular city crosswalk, where there are also other people around that can get hit instead if he misses his shot. There was also another person following right besides the target, he would have to make sure to not hit them instead.
He made sure he was at an appropriate distance, before stopping. He kneeled down on the rooftop of the building he was on, getting his rifle ready in a stance. He adjusted his aim, making sure it was directly aimed on the head of his target, before placing his finger on the trigger. And without wasting a second, he shot.
*BANG!*
The loud gunshot rang out, and immediately afterwards, his target dropped cold onto the pavement. The mission was a success.
The moment after, everyone in the city that was around stopped, the mood of the area immediately shattered as someone was just shot right in the middle of all the liveliness. The person that seemed to have been accompanying the target quickly went down to check on them, and although he couldn't really hear nor see them that clearly, he knew they were panicked. The entire area was panicked.
It didn't take a minute for people to start noticing him standing on top of the buildings, especially with the fact that he was still carrying and pointing his rifle. He briefly locked eyes with the target's friend, sending a chilling grin as he lowered his rifle, taking a step back as everyone now had their eyes on him, and of course, had recognized him.
The place quickly dived into commotion, some of the civilians screaming in terror with what they just witnessed. Keeping his hitmen persona up, he smirked at the crowd, giving a little mocking salute, before walking backwards and fleeing the area by jumping off the building carefully, gripping onto the closed store sign's pole, before briefly jumping onto the nearby rooftop of another building, slowly making his way down to the ground of the alleyway.
He could hear the police sirens coming near, but he wasn't afraid, knowing he'd already gotten away. He quickly put his rifle down and jacket off, before promptly reversing the jacket so the grey inside was the one on the outside, hiding all the red details of his original jacket. He snuck the rifle between his arms, and shortly exited the alleyway by turning the corner.
He quickly blended into the crowd, everyone being in such a state of panic that nobody even questioned him. He looked back at the scene of the crime for one last time, before turning around to go home. He can't risk getting caught now.

???? walked through the city crosswalks in the late morning, having a specific destination in mind. It made it on the news that last night, in the areas near the building of Aque Corp, the head of marketing of that same national corporation was assassinated in public. They were apparently walking home along with the deputy head of marketing, when they got shot out of nowhere.
The assassin behind it was identified to be '????', who is one hitman infamous for making their appearance known to the public before or after assassinations. They were spotted on top of a building carrying a sniper rifle not a minute after the incident, and so, was the immediate suspect.
They finally reached the area where the assassination supposedly took place. The area was of course off limits, with some police officers and forensics seeming to be running around the place, investigating the crime scene, with a brown haired detective mostly managing the scene.
"I heard an assassination took place here?" He asked someone nearby in the area, striking up a casual conversation.
"Ah- yeah, last night, it happened." They replied. "I heard about it directly from my friend, he was involved directly in the incident."
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah, he was walking home alongside the victim, but then suddenly Skizz got shot out of the blue..." The man sighed, seeming to recall the events with a not so happy expression on their face. "He's in the hospital now... he's still alive, but he's on death's doorstep, since the bullet that the assassin fired apparently shattered his skull and damaged his brain beyond repair."
"Wow, I can't imagine how it must've been for your friend." He said, a hint of sympathy in his voice.
"Yeah, he was gravely shaken by the incident, so to speak. He's being questioned by the police right now, I think."
"I see, I see." ???? answered. While he did feel slightly bad, there was really nothing he could do about it. Oh well, he got the information he wanted. "Well, thanks for telling me all that, I guess I'll be going now."
"Alright," They replied, but then stopped him. "Wait- you haven't told me your name yet!"
"Uh- Er..." He stuttered for a second, not sure how to answer, before deciding to just be truthful. "Tango, nice to meet you."
Hearing this though, the other person completely froze. They turned to him, the shock visible in their eyes.
"What- uh... is there something wrong with my name?" he chuckled nervously, afraid he just made a mistake.
"T-Tango-? Is that actually you?" They rubbed their eyes, as if they were checking whether or not they were just dreaming.
"Um- yeah? That's my name?"
"And I thought you looked familiar! Tango- It's me, Zedaph! Don't tell me you completely forgot about me!"
"Wait-" Tango's eyes widened, immediately recognizing the name, and mentally punching himself for not making the connection sooner. "Zed??"
