Grian was just browsing the internet on his laptop at his small apartment. He was basically free for the night, as he currently had no jobs or missions. It was past midnight, most people would be asleep by now, but since Grian had his sleep schedule set so he could be awake until past midnight and still wake up in the morning, he was wide awake.

He boredly scrolled down through the news, not knowing what he should do for the night. Then, his other phone that he only brought for missions beeped.

Feeling a bit less bored, Grian headed to his closet to change into his work attire.

'Watching Shadow' sneaked around through the alleyways, which were empty since it was already past midnight, not like anyone would wander in the alleyways at day either.

"Oh, there you are, 'Watch'!"

He stopped, turning to where the voice came from. "Good midnight, 'Red'." He greeted one of his allies. "Where's Cross?"

"She should still be somewhere around here." 'Red' replied, looking back at the direction where he came from.

"Isn't this a bit dangerous though?" 'Watch' suddenly asked. "All three of us, group together? If someone witnessed us, it would basically confirm that we're all in some sort of alliance."

"True, true." 'Red' shrugged. "But this isn't the first time we've done this, and we've been lucky so far."

'Watch' was still a bit hesitant, but he just nodded. Right after, 'Cross shot' jumped down from the rooftop and dropped next to them. "'Watch', so you finally arrive."

"Mhm." 'Watch' briefly responded. "So, what are we doing here again?"

"To go on a night walk together, right?" 'Red' answered. "Honestly, it has been a long time since we've all been on one."

"True." 'Cross' replied. "I almost forgot what we did when we did these."

"Well then, should we go?"

"Sure." After saying that, 'Cross' suddenly parkoured back onto the rooftops. "Race you both to the Aque Corp office building!" and with that, she disappeared from view.

"Hey, no fair, 'Cross'!"

The man breathed lightly as he hid behind the pillars, He had successfully sneaked into the building without getting noticed, now comes the hard part: locating the target.

He knew the building was patrolled by a lot of guards 24/7, so this was definitely not going to be easy. Luckily for him, he had thought of a plan beforehand. He readied his gun for when one of the guards passed by him, putting his finger on the trigger.

BANG!

A guard on the same floor jolted awake at the loud gunshot, quickly standing up. Moments after, another guard ran into the hall from one of the rooms.

"1113, Did you hear that!?" The guard that just ran in asked.

'1113' took a moment to process things. "Uh- the gunshot-? yeah, I did." They murmured, still feeling a bit tired since they just woke up. They pointed to the other end of the hall. "It sounded like it came from that direction."

"Alright then. Let's go check." The other guard replied, grabbing '1113's hand and dragging them along.

"Huh- what-?" '1113' responded. "But isn't it dangerous-?"

"For god's sake. It's our duty to guard the place, that's what we're paid to do." The other guard scoffed. "If there's a gunshot, there's a high chance there's an intruder, and so it's guaranteed something happened."

"Alright- alright-" '1113' sighed reluctantly. "Let go of my hand first."

Both quickly walked to the other end of the hallway where the gunshot came from. Turning around the corner, in front of them was a closed door.

The unnamed guard went ahead and turned the handle. "Huh... is this door meant to be locked?"

"Isn't El supposed to be patrolling that side of the b- hey- what are you doing-"

Without listening, the other guard kicked the door down. They quickly rushed into the room, and immediately froze. '1113' walked in after them, and instantly noticed multiple worrying things.

A cracked window.

Blood.

And a dead body.

"This- this bad- we need to immediately inform-"

BANG!

A second gunshot was heard from the floor above them. "Hey wait-" '1113 spoke after processing everything. "Isn't the person on the floor above this one-?"

"This is bad."

'Cross' stopped on one of the buildings, looking down and examining the view from above.

'Red' eventually caught up and stopped beside her. "What's wrong, Cross?" He asked. "What are you looking at?"

"I don't know." 'Cross' replied as 'Watch' also finally caught up and walke beside them. "I'm pretty sure I just saw someone jump out of that window." She pointed to a building pretty close by. It had not one, not two, but three cracked windows, the third one being fully opened. She was specifically pointing at that third window. "Someone jumped down from there to the alleyway."

"You think so?" 'Red' stood next to her and looked down to the alleyway. "It's probably just a burglar or a thief, normal occurrences in these dark parts of the city."

'Watch' looked down to the alleyway 'Cross' mentioned. It was night, so the alleyways were just pitch black, only some parts were illuminated by lights. It was pretty close to where they were at.

"Anyways, we got sidetracked." 'Cross' spoke up, turning away from the alleyway to look at the other two. "Let's just continue on-"

"Oh, it's you three. What are you three doing here?"

All three turned around to see who was speaking. "Oh, 'Freeze Eye." 'Red' immediately became cautious, which made it clear they aren't exactly friends.

"Fancy meeting you here." 'Cross' greeted. "On a mission, I assume?"

"Just finished the mission, actually." 'Freeze' replied. "What about you three?"

"We're just going on a night walk, since we're all free for the night." 'Cross' responded.

"I see..." 'Freeze' mumbled, before turning away. "Well then, if you excuse me."

And with that, 'Freeze Eye' jumped down, and disappeared.

'Red' sighed in relief after seeing that he was gone. "Thank god. He can be scary sometimes."

"'Red', I still don't understand why you're really paranoid around him." 'Cross' said. "Sure, we might have had a bad encounter with him, but it doesn't look like he's that bad of a guy."

"Whatever, can we stop talking about him?" 'Watch' spoke up. "Can we just continue?"

"Yeah, I guess." 'Cross' replied. "I don't really think we have to worry about him tonight. Let's just continue, you wanted to show us something at the Aque Corp building, right?"

"Mhm, I found a secret entrance which completely goes past security."

"Wait- really?" 'Red' asked as they got off the building together. "But- doesn't that mean that people can just go past all the security and steal stuff as they please?"

"No, to go through the entrance itself, you need a password. So it must've been created by an Aque official. It might be a secret evacuation door, but I'm not sure." 'Watch' explained as they walked to the building from the secret alleyways.

"How did you even find it?" 'Cross' questioned.

"I got suspicious because of something, and so before coming home, I investigated every inch outside of the building, and then I just found it."

They walked in the shadows to the Aque corp building, taking the alleyway shortcuts, and eventually made it near the building. 'Watch' led them to the side of the back door stairs and stopped.

"Alright, see here." He pointed to a part of the wall. "There's a very small secret keyhole here."

"Oh, you're right!" 'Red' shout-whispered, honestly amazed at how 'Watch' was able to spot such a small keyhole.

"How do we open it though?" 'Cross' asked.

"Simple." 'Watch' replied, getting out a wire. "Lock picking." as he said that, he inserted the wire into the keyhole, and twisted it around.

"Isn't this- uh- illegal though?"

"'Red', we're literally hitmens(and hitwomens), what do you mean by 'isn't this illegal'." 'Cross' sighed.

'Watch' quietly giggled at the convo behind him, before focusing again. Finally, he heard a click, and the secret door was unlocked. He pushed the wall aside, and surprisingly, it opened a secret passage.

"Wow, a secret tunnel. I guess that's Aque corp for you." 'Red' commented, amazed.

"I'm surprised at how well it blends in with the wall." 'Cross' added.

They entered the entrance slowly, which was a small hall that goes underneath the building, and eventually reached another locked door. The door had a panel besides it, which was a number pad asking for a ten digit password.

"This is the door that I said required a password." 'Watch' explained. "We can't really go past this point, and I think it would be pretty dangerous to pass this point either way, since I'm pretty sure this leads to inside the building."

"Alright, I guess we gotta head back then." 'Cross' said. "Well, this was pretty cool and interesting, I wonder what this secret entrance is used fo-"

Click!

Out of the blue, the door opened, and a figure appeared from the other side. The guy that just came out seemed very surprised seeing the three there, since obviously they weren't supposed to be there. For a few minutes, it was just an awkward silence between both sides.

"...Hydden-?" 'Red' finally shattered the silence. "What are you doing here-?"

"I could say the same to you three-" 'Hydden' replied.

"We just found this secret passageway while examining the building." 'Watch' explained. "Now- why are you here though-?"

"W-well- um-" Suddenly, 'Hydden's expression immediately shifted from surprise to nervousness.

"Were you here for a mission-?" 'Red' asked. "Wait- how did you even know about this hidden passageway?"

"Are you alright?" 'Cross' asked. "You look like you've seen something-"

"-Yes, I was here for a mission." 'Hydden quickly answered. "A-and I would really not recommend going down there-" He gulped, before swiftly grabbing something from his pocket. "Anyways- I'll go now- see you three later!"

"Wait- 'Hydden'-"

But before anyone could say anything, 'Hydden' threw something onto the floor, and smoke began filling the hall, making it hard to see. Coughing was heard, and then the smoke cleared out, and 'Hydden' was no longer in the hall with them.

"God dammit-" 'Red' coughed. "I nearly forgot that he uses smoke bombs."

"Well, I guess he escaped." 'Cross' said. "But to be honest, he looked pretty panicked to me, and probably not just because we caught him red handed, since he also caught us red handed."

"True." 'Watch' replied. "I wonder what he saw or did. He did say he was on a mission and that that was his reason for being here. But how did he even know about this tunnel..."

"Well, I guess we no longer have business being here." 'Cross' sighed. "Even if we wanted to go deeper, the door is closed now, and we best get out of here before we get caught."

"True."

"Yeah, I guess." 'Watch' said. "Well, then, let's go."
