"...Hello? Can you hear me?"

Her voice was steady and calm, but her tone was serious. She sat haphazardly on the railings of the rooftop, feet dangling off the edge with only one hand really holding onto the railing, the other carrying her phone against her ear. She waited for the other person to reply.

"I can, loud and clear." The person on the other side of the phone call stated. "What's up?"

"I have something to tell you, but before that, sorry for calling you again this late, and with it being less than a week from our previous phone call. I hope you're not busy."

"Oh no- not at all. I'm actually free for the night, so don't worry, you're not bothering me at all." They replied. "I am surprised that you're calling more often than usual, but it's a pleasant surprise, maybe even a happy one, to say the truth."

"Alright, that's good," She said, briefly looking around warily, even though it's not like anyone could eavesdrop on the conversation that well due to the strong wind blowing in the air. "I have a lot of things I want to tell you, so this might be a long convo. Are you okay with that?"

"I'm not sure what you want to talk about, but I'm all ears."

"Okay, that's great." She promptly said, before continuing. "So, remember what I told you in our last call?"

"Well... if I remember correctly, it had something to do with the X-T-V and the whole news site ordeal, right?"

"Yeah, that one." She confirmed. "I wanted to give you a small update on the situation after, you know, that incident."

"Are you talking about the assassination that happened yesterday midnight?"

"Yep. But before talking about that, let's trace back a bit. I wanna go through the thing with 'Red' again again with you."

"'Red'...? What part do you specifically want to talk about?"

"I wouldn't really say talk, just wanted to mention a bit about the assassination attempt itself, mostly about the mysteries around the incident, though." She explained. "You know, about the whole 'disappearance', 'identity exposee', and all the rumors around the incident and whatnot. Remember when I talked to you about my suspicions on the whole 'identity expose causes a full on new site to go down' thing?"

"Yeah, I still remember. Were you going to talk about the fact that the news site is back online now?"

"Mhm, that's mostly what I wanted to talk about with you. I'm assuming you've already seen the tens or hundreds of articles surrounding the crimes the late right hand man of the X-T-V's CEO was exposed to doing, right?"

"The ones about him apparently being responsible for a lot of assassinations?"

"Yeah, I wanted to talk about that in particular, but back to 'Red' for a second." She said. "You know how the contracts leaked in the articles seem to differ from what we know?"

"What?"

"It's simple, really. So, from what we both know that he ordered assassinations on two people in the corporation, Aque, which are xB Crafted, the head of finance, and ImpulseSV, the head of marketing. And then he also ordered a hit on 'Red' for not completing the hit on Mr. Impulse, before ordering another hit on one of the people involved in the Aque vs X-T-V drama, Welsknight." She briefly explained. "But one of the contracts in the articles seemed to not match up with that. You see, instead of being about the hit of 'Red Bullet', the third contract was about the hit on the deputy head of marketing of Aque, Tango Tek."

"Originally, when I read the articles and saw that particular leaked contract, I thought it confirmed my original suspicion, that Dr. 77 knew about 'Red's identity and was responsible for exposing it. But now, while I'm still sure that that's what happened at the beginning of the news site ordeal, I remembered something. I read the contract of the assassination days before it was leaked, and I remember it specifically saying 'Red Bullet' instead of 'Aque's Deputy head of marketing, Tango Tek'."

"...'Vir', what are you trying to suggest here?"

"The contract was modified before it got released to the public, wasn't it?" 'Virror' spelled out her suspicion for the other assassin. "And not just that. This is the part I want your honest testament in. Were you involved in the whole leaking thing?"

"..." 'Cross', on the other line, went silent. "What led you to believe that?"

"The assassination on Mr. Welsknight was done by none other than your colleague, 'Watching shadow', right?" She continued. "And according to the articles and also what I personally know, Dr. 77 ordered the assassination in suspicion of him being responsible for the information leaks. You see where I'm going with this?"

And tonight you realized that it all went south
