DEATH, it's not something usually synonymous with reincarnation. Yet, it is the end result of life. In some cultures, if you have been a good person, you will be reincarnated as another person, or as a good animal. Something like an elephant, or perhaps a cheetah. Something at the top of the food chain.
However, if you had been a terrible person, you would not be reincarnated as a human, but rather a lowly animal. Like a worm. Or a dung beetle.
In other cultures, no matter you good or bad deeds, you are still going to be reincarnated as a person. In many other cultures, Death is the end. And what you did in your life, constitutes where you'll end up. Whether it be heaven, hell, or for some, purgatory. There are many cultures, with many different beliefs.
If you had asked my view, however. I would simply tell you that there is no such thing as reincarnation. When you die, the nothingness welcomes you to it's sightless abyss.
But that was before, I, Jinette Solomon, got reincarnated after I died.
As my least favourite character no less.
Sigh.

SO, here's how this event had played out.
24 Hours Earlier
I was stoked. Why, you ask? Well for one, it was both my first sleepover and concert in another state. To top off that chocolate sundae, it was my favourite band. And my best friend. This day could not get any better. My dad was driving me and would be one of the chaperones to this little party. But heck, I didn't even mind one bit! He could even bring my bitch cousin Slutica Mcgee and it wouldn't even put a dent in my mood. I felt ecstatic, like small champagne bubbles of happiness were popping in my veins, intoxicating me with giddiness and excitement. I turned to the green eyed, blonde haired she devil next to me.
"Shopping then Naruto greatest episodes Marathon?" I grinned.
Her grin split her face.
"What kind of first annual pre concert ritual would it be if we didn't?" I asked.
Her grin, if possible, completely widened.
At the same time we let out an ear piercing scream.
"Girls! Girls!" Dad interrupted us. "I know you're excited but please, tone down the screech." He said, but he was still smiling.
We giggled and apologised.
"So, who's ready for the concert?" He grins as he holds up four tickets.
My best friend and I once again break the sound barrier.
_______________
WE Were screaming. Everyone was screaming. There was panic, and mania. And frantic motions. Everyone was moving up, down, right, left and every other which way. But this wasn't a fear based panic. No, it was an air of manic excitement. The frantic movements constituted weird dancing to the music being blasted from the speakers as the band commanded their instruments and the crowd, creating a havoc that was somehow harmonic. Like beauty out of shattered glass.
As my best friend and i were alternating between dancing to the music and screaming our lungs out, we didn't realise that our time had in this world had ended.
We were almost to the front, and didn't really hear when those first few shots rang out. But I felt the sting as something whizzed past me, nicking my arm and leaving a stinging burn. I cried out. The excitement turned into panic and everyone scattered. That quickly, the euphoria became pandemonium. But unfortunately, my best friend and I were not fast enough. I watched with a despairing scream as five holes opened up in my best friend's body, with one through her left eye, the blood spraying on me.
Then it was my turn. One hole opened up in my leg, then my shoulder, my throat, my gut, my kneecap, making me collapse to the ground as my body failed. The pain that washed over me was unlike anything I had ever experienced. My mouth was open but there was no sound to be made. Silent screams escaped my throat, none to be heard by the outside world, only ever in my mind. My ears rung, my body hurt. I felt my soul slipping away until it was no more.
_______________
I Believe I had committed a faux pass earlier.
I never introduced myself and told you who I was.
My name is Jinette Solomon. Aged 17. I was attending a music festival/sleepover with my best friend when there was an attack. Unfortunately, I was one of the casualties. So was my best friend. I have no idea if my father or my best friend's mother made it out. I hope they had. It was an unexpected end for me. Since I hoped to live to 93 and be a badass grandmother to my grandkids. Ah well. Not all things can wishes can come through I guess. I was still in a state of awe and shock as I looked over my dead body and that of my best friend's. Oof. Both of us did not die pretty. But surprisingly, the last thing on our Best Friend Bucket list (dying within at least 2 minutes of each other), was one of the first things crossed off the list aside from attending our first concert in Las Vegas. In all probability, this attack only took roughly a few seconds to a few minutes judging by the rapidity of the bullets still being fired. But I couldn't stay for long. My ethereal form was being sucked up by an unknown force. I squeaked, not expecting this either. In a flash, I was sucked up in a vortex and gone in a flash. Literally.

I BLinked to clear my eyes and adjust my vision. But all I saw in front of me was endless black. Every direction I turned was just a suffocating black. But yet, I could still see me. I could still see myself.
So, I was right. We do end up in a nothingness after death. Or maybe this was just a temporary spot before moving on. Despite the assumptions I made earlier, I didn't have enough data to make a correct conclusion.
I hummed thoughtfully.
Suddenly, I was being pulled forward. I screamed in surprise.
"Kid, I'm bored. I've seen your work and I've got to say. I am impressed by your scathing remarks." A deep voice suddenly rushed.
I was just dumbfounded. I wanted to say something intelligent, like "why am I here?" Or "what is going on?" But all I could manage was an "Huh?"
The disembodied voice chuckled.
"Oh right, I forgot you can't see me. I am... Kami." He said with a flourish.
My mind went blank and an automatic "uh huh" escaped.
"Don't you believe me?" The voice asked, sounding a bit...pouty?
What the what?
"Uhh... No?" I asked rather than said.
"That's just heartless." He said despondently. I had the distinctive feeling he was crying. Like how many anime characters cried when the situation wasn't serious.
"
Anywayyyyyy! You're going into the Naruto world and you're going to be your least favourite character! Have fun!" The disembodied voice of Kami said in an almost evilly gleeful tone.
"Wait what?" Was all I managed to get out before once again, I was being sucked into a vortex.
"Bloody hell!"
All went black.
