3.3 Reality Check

As Ruhi gazed at Abhira playing with Daksh, her emotions simmered to a boil.

With a swift motion, she snatched the knife from the fruit basket and took steps towards Abhira, her voice low and menacing. "I'll not leave you, Abhira!"

Just as Ruhi was about to strike, two hands grasped her wrists, holding her back.

Abhir's and Armaan's faces were set in stern lines, their eyes blazing with anger.

"Aesa koi kaam mat karna ki main bhul jao ki tum meri behen ho Ruhi!" Abhir warned, his grip on Ruhi's wrist tightening.

Ruhi hissed, her eyes flashing with defiance, as Abhir's grip grew tighter. Abhira, meanwhile, looked at her brother and husband, who were protecting her.

She gently laid Daksh in his crib and took slow, deliberate steps towards Ruhi.

As Abhir took the knife away from Ruhi, Abhira stood tall, her eyes blazing with a quiet strength. She stood before Ruhi, her silence more powerful than any words.

For a minute or two, the only sound was the heavy breathing of the two women.

Then, without warning, Abhira's hand shot out, slapping Ruhi hard across the face.

Ruhi stumbled, her eyes widening in shock, before she fell to the ground, her body trembling with rage and humiliation.

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the two women.

Abhira stood tall, her eyes blazing with a fierce intensity, as Ruhi lay at her feet, her face burning with shame and anger.

Abhira's words cut through the air, her voice steady and strong as she confronted Ruhi.

"You're reaping the consequences of your own actions, Ruhi," she said, her tone firm but tinged with sadness.

"Everyone here has suffered immense pain in their lives, but no one has misused that pain the way you have."

Abhira's eyes flashed with anger as she continued, her voice rising. "You called my mumma a murderer, but in fact, you are the real murderer. You killed your mother, and now you wanted to kill me and my child, Daksh. You manipulated and deceived everyone, using your own pain to justify your twisted actions."

Abhira took a step closer to Ruhi, her voice trembling with emotion. "But your actions have consequences, Ruhi. You've hurt so many people, caused so much suffering. And now, you're facing the truth. You're facing the fact that your own actions have led to your downfall."

Ruhi's face turned red with rage as she shouted, "What are you saying, Abhira? I didn't kill my Mata Shree! It was your mumma who killed her!" Her voice echoed through the room, but Abhira remained unfazed.

Abhira's expression remained calm, but her voice was firm and steady. "No, Ruhi, that's not what happened. You're the one who started the car, and you had jammed the brakes. Mumma tried to stop it, but it was too late. The accident had already happened, and Aarohi Massi...your Mata Shree, was killed." Abhira's words were laced with a deep sadness, a sorrow that came from knowing the truth about Ruhi's actions.

Abhira took a step closer to Ruhi, her eyes locked on hers. "You've been living a lie, Ruhi. You've been blaming my mumma for your own mistakes. But the truth is out now, and you can't deny it anymore." Abhira's voice was gentle, but firm, as she forced Ruhi to confront the reality of her own actions.

Abhir's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled backward, his mind reeling from the revelation. He had never suspected that Ruhi was capable of such a heinous act.

He felt like he had been punched in the gut, his breath knocked out of him.

But before he could fall, Abhira's hands grasped his arms, holding him steady. She pulled him close, her eyes locked on his, and whispered, "I'm here, bhai. I've got you."

Abhir's eyes met Abhira's, and he saw the concern and love reflected back at him. He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of calm wash over him.

He wrapped his arms around Abhira, holding her close as they both processed the shocking truth.

Together, they stood there, holding each other, as the weight of Ruhi's secrets threatened to crush them.

But in each other's arms, they found the strength to face the truth and move forward.

As the drama unfolded in the hall of Poddar Mansion, the remaining members of the family gathered around, their faces etched with shock and disbelief.

The Goenkas, who had arrived just moments before, stood frozen in the doorway, their eyes wide with wonder.

Swarna's eyes widened in shock as she stood in the hall of Poddar Mansion, her hand flying to her mouth in horror.

Manish's face was ashen, his eyes fixed on Ruhi with a mix of anger and disbelief.

For so long, they had blamed Akshara for Aarohi's death, convinced that she was responsible for the tragic accident.

But now, as the truth unfolded before their eyes, they were forced to re-examine their assumptions.

Ruhi's eyes took on a wild, desperate glint as she whispered, "No, I didn't kill Mata Shree... it was Akshu Massi!" Her voice was barely audible, but the malice and accusation in her tone were palpable.

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the occupants. The Goenkas' faces were etched with shock and disgust, while Abhira and Abhir exchanged a worried glance.

But Ruhi was beyond reason, her mind consumed by her own twisted thoughts. She continued to whisper, her voice growing louder and more hysterical. "Akshu Massi did it... she killed Mata Shree... I saw her... I saw her..."

Abhir's voice was firm and commanding as he grasped Ruhi's shoulder, his eyes blazing with anger and hurt. "That's enough, Ruhi! Stop blaming my mumma for your own mistakes. Because of you, I got separated from her. Because of you, Mumma had to suffer so much, and Abhira had to live without her family!"

Ruhi's eyes widened in fear as Abhir's grip on her shoulder tightened. She tried to shake him off, but he held firm, his fingers digging deep into her skin.

Abhira stepped forward, her eyes flashing with anger. "Yes, Ruhi, you're the one who's responsible for all our suffering.

You're the one who's been lying and manipulating everyone. It's time you faced the consequences of your actions!"

The room was electric with tension as the truth finally began to unravel. Ruhi's mask of innocence had slipped, revealing the true extent of her deceit and manipulation.

The family's eyes were fixed on her, their faces etched with shock, anger, and disappointment.
