2. Reconcile

"You two don't deserve Abhira as your sister," Armaan spat, his face twisted in a snarl as he raised his hand to strike Abhir once again.

But before his fist could make contact, Ruhi sprang into action, inserting herself between Armaan and Abhir. "Armaan, stop!" she cried, her voice firm and commanding.

Ruhi stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I won't let you hurt Abhir again," she said, her voice firm and resolute. "He's done nothing to deserve your cruelty."

With a surge of adrenaline, Ruhi pushed Armaan with all her might, sending him stumbling backward. He lost his balance and crashed to the ground, his eyes widening in shock and anger.

Abhir watched the scene unfold with a mixture of shock and gratitude. He had expected Ruhi to side with Armaan, but instead, she had defended him.

Abhir's gaze locked onto Ruhi's face, his eyes searching for answers. All these years, he had thought that Ruhi hated him.

But now, as he looked into her eyes, he saw something different. He saw a glimmer of concern, of compassion, and of understanding.

Ruhi's eyes met Abhir's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The tension between them was palpable, but it was no longer just anger and hatred.

There was something more, something that Abhir couldn't quite put his finger on.

Abhir's thoughts were a jumble of emotions as he tried to process what was happening. He had spent so long believing that Ruhi hated him, and now...now he wasn't so sure.

"Billa boy" ruhi whispered softly

Abhir's eyes widened in shock as he heard the familiar nickname. "Billa boy?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.

No one had called him that in years, not since his childhood.

Ruhi's eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief as she smiled. "I never forgot, Billa boy," she whispered, her voice filled with a warmth that Abhir hadn't expected.

Abhir's face twisted in a mix of emotions as he looked at Ruhi. He felt a pang of nostalgia, of memories long buried.

He hadn't realized how much he had missed this, missed Ruhi's teasing and her smile. For a moment, Abhir forgot about the past, forgot about the pain and the anger.

All he saw was Ruhi, the girl who had once been his best friend.

Abhir's eyes locked onto Ruhi's, the air between them charged with a mix of emotions. The past and present collided as they stood there, the weight of their complicated history hanging heavy.

Ruhi's gaze never wavered, her eyes searching Abhir's face as if looking for answers to unspoken questions.

Abhir's heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing with memories of their childhood, of laughter and tears and whispered secrets.

The tension between them was palpable, a living, breathing thing that pulsed with the rhythm of their heartbeats.

Abhir felt like he was drowning in Ruhi's eyes, like he was being pulled under by a riptide of emotions he couldn't control.

Abhir's heart skipped a beat as he heard Ruhi's whispered words. "Mera bhai" - my brother. The term of endearment was like a punch to the gut, leaving him breathless and reeling.

Abhir's eyes searched Ruhi's face, looking for any sign of insincerity. But all he saw was a deep affection and concern etched on her features.

It was a look that spoke of a deep bond, one that went beyond mere acquaintances. For a moment, Abhir forgot about the past, forgot about the pain and the anger.

All he saw was Ruhi, the girl who had once been his best friend, his confidante, his sister.

"i missed you, why did you leave me alone abhir?"

Abhir's eyes widened in surprise as Ruhi's small fists hit his chest, her voice trembling with emotion. He felt a lump form in his throat as he looked at Ruhi, her eyes brimming with tears.

He didn't know how to respond, didn't know how to process the emotions that were swirling inside him.

All he knew was that he had missed Ruhi too, had missed her laughter and her smile and her unwavering support.

Without thinking, Abhir reached out and pulled Ruhi into a tight hug, holding her close as she buried her face in his chest.

He felt a wave of emotion wash over him, felt the weight of his past mistakes and regrets bearing down on him.

Ruhi's arms tightened around him, her body shaking with sobs. "I missed you so much, Abhir," she whispered back, her voice barely audible. "I thought I'd never see you again."

"You never hated me?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ruhi shook her head, her eyes never leaving his. "No, Abhir. I couldn't. You were my best friend, my brother. I loved you, and I always will."

Abhir's throat constricted as he heard Ruhi's words. He felt a lump form in his throat, felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes.

No one had ever looked at him with such kindness, such love. No one had ever forgiven him so easily.

Without thinking, Abhir pulled Ruhi into another tight hug, holding her close as he felt a sense of peace wash over him. For the first time in years, he felt like he was home.

Just then, a mocking chuckle broke the silence, and Abhira's tear-stained face came into view. Her red-rimmed eyes sparkled with a mix of pain, sarcasm, and desperation as she spoke.

"So, it's clear that you two have put the past behind you," Abhira said, her voice laced with bitterness and a hint of sadness.

"You've forgiven each other, moved on from the drama that unfolded all those years ago. But what about me? I'm the one who wasn't even born when all of this happened. I'm the innocent one, the one who didn't have a hand in any of it."

Abhira's voice cracked as she continued, her words dripping with self-loathing and a deep-seated hurt. "And yet...my own brother refuses to accept me. He won't even acknowledge me as his sister. It's like I'm a mistake, a reminder of all the pain and suffering that our family went through."

Abhira's eyes locked onto Abhir's, her gaze piercing and accusing. "You know, bhaiya, I've always felt like an outsider, like I don't belong. And now, seeing you and Ruhi together...it just feels like I'm even more of an outsider. Like I'm the one who's not good enough, who's not worthy of love or acceptance."

Abhira's voice trailed off, and she looked away, her shoulders shaking with sobs. "Sahi bhi hai, I'm just so bad that no one wants me in their life," she whispered, the words hanging in the air like a painful truth.

Abhira's voice cracked as she spoke, her words tumbling out in a desperate, emotional rush. "I'm so sorry...for being born," she whispered, her eyes brimming with tears. "I'm sorry for coming into your life, for being a reminder of everything that went wrong."

Her body shook with sobs as she spoke, her face contorted in a mix of pain and regret. "I wish I had never been born," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I wish I could just disappear, and make everything okay again."
